Chapter 406

She gave him some time to himself and when she felt like he needed someone beside him, she sighed, entering inside. She looked around, feeling guilty for entering the house.

She thought it was abominable for her to enter the house of the woman who never wanted her to be with her son and now she was dead and Sheila felt like somehow, she was at fault. If she didn't come into Duncan's life, he wouldn't have quarreled with his mother for her sake and he would have been here with her today not mourning her. She sat beside him. She didn't say anything or try to touch him. She just let him be. When she felt like he was okay, she wrapped her hands around him, patting him.

“It's okay. I'm here for you. Everything is going to be okay,” she said, wrapping her hands around him.

“Nothing is ever going to be okay, Sheila. She's gone and she's never coming back and it's all my fault,” Duncan said, crying.
