Mr. Hockings whose face had gone back to being relaxed before suddenly went back to its panicked form. His fingers clenched into a tight fist, a fist he would so badly like to bury into Keith Thompson's face. This man was proving to be such a thorn in his side.

The judge sat up straight with a deep sigh, “Does what you have to talk about have anything to do with what has just been concluded now, Mr. Thompson?”

Keith shrugged, pleased to see the frightened look on the face of the Hockings, not even their lawyer was excluded from the fright. He had intentionally let the issue with the illegal getting of properties slide because that was not how he wanted them all to go down, if the Hockings were to go into ruins then it would be because the world would see them for their terrible and disgusting actions, see behind the facade they have built for themselves. They would be crashing down so hard that it would be extremely difficult to ever get back home.

The judge took a long and hard star

Camila sat stiffly on her seat with her lips graced with a sad look, this was her first time hearing Keith Thompson story, on a more sincere side she thought she would never be able to hear the side of the story from his side. Of course, she had been very desperate for his side and her insides would itch for her to ask him but she never would complete the attempt to do so, always scared to ruin his mood or that she would cause him another form of pain by making him retell the story she supposed that already did enough to break him when he gave it thoughts, so she would always give up on her attempts to ask afraid that he would also get angry at her and consider her inconsiderate, so she never really asked. But as Keith stood behind the cubicle with his eyes locked with his ex-wife as he retold the story of how she and her family broke his heart and trust, Camila could hear hints of sadness in his voice and his face held some heartbreak although properly hidden behind his facade of a

Keith let out a short smile, “Well it's not my fault that my company subordinates want no involvement with you.” Mr. Hockings paled, “Your company?” Keith scoffed, “Yes, Mr. Hockings, my company. Apparently, there had been some grumbles going on in my company concerning the partnership with your company, so I held a meeting with my board of directors and the majority carried the votes so we had to let you go. But you should not even be this bold to talk, especially with what you did to my subordinate.” Mr. Hockings flinched, recalling what he had done when he found out about getting kicked out. He glanced briefly at the judge and panic rose from the pit of his belly seeing that the judge was paying keen attention to what Keith had to say next. He cleared his throat, gaining the attention of the judge, and then he spoke, “I apologize for what happened with your subordinate, Thompson but I was just irrational due to the anger I felt at that time, but once again I apologize for the

Once everyone in the court was settled back down, the judge immediately rushed out of his seat to meet the bald man halfway, with his head bowed so low that it was clear to everybody that whoever this new figure was, he was going to be a man of high power. The bald man accompanied by the judge was moved to a private section of the court, where he got a better view of the courthouse. “Sir, I apologize for not noticing you sooner or you would have announced you sooner, sir,” the judge said with his head still bowed in reference. The hair at the back of his neck was standing straight in alert and a bead of sweat trailed down his forehead to the side of his face. The bald man nodded as he continued to take in the view of the court. The judge cleared his throat in an attempt to get the man's attention, “Uhh sir, why didn't you tell me about you visiting sir? I would have prepared specially for your coming.”The bald man rolled his eyes, then placed his suitcase on the table before him, s

Camila let out a chuckle the moment she saw the look that graced Sheila's face, she wanted so badly to get up and do a short victory dance before her with a burst of loud evil laughter, like the ones the villain characters in cartoons do. She took her gaze off Sheila and back to Keith, and to her surprise she already found him staring at her with a contented look and a hint of a smirk on his lips, although his face was still hardened. She does not hesitate to flash him a wide grin, wiggling a brow at him. It was true that at first she doubted that Keith could actually finish up the Hockings in just one day but when he had told her about the involvement of the lawyers from the state bar association, she had felt a bit confident but that confidence had been present only yesterday and today she had woken up with a shaken faith and anxious heart, but right this very moment she was feeling fly and untouchable. It would be too much to get up and record the Hockings family's defeated look ri

“Alright, since you all have nothing to say then I guess the case is settled. When you have the complete money then we can discuss business.” Mr. Hockings’ ears rang over and over with his mouth agape. Thompson just said the case is settled, what in the hell was settled about this case? He wanted a chance to say something even though he wasn't sure what exactly he had to say_ sincerely he might have nothing to say. He was yet to process the information very well right now, he was still very much confused, he had no idea who the bald man seated by the corner was, and neither did he know the person Keith had referred to as Mr. Bills but Mr. Hockings only knew they were far more in power than anyone who had been present in the court. He was not even concerned with how Thompson managed to get them all in touch with the state bar association_ alright maybe he was concerned a little bit but his main concern was how Thompson had been able to get the state bar association on his side and got

The clerk took that as a sign, then rose to his feet, “The case between the Hockings family and Keith Thompson is therefore adjourned.”Keith's eyes met with baldy Gabriel and he gave him a bow too, finally setting aside his jealousy and ego because none of this could have been this effective without his help and legal advice. Gabriel rolled his eyes at him but not before Keith caught a glimpse of the hint of a smile at the corner of his lips. He does not dwell on it, counting it as a win and a call for peace between them. He stepped down from the cubicle then his eyes searched for his girlfriend, well he did not find her on the seat but instead she was smiling broadly as she approached him. Keith did not wait for the moment she would close the distance between them as he rushed over to meet her halfway, scooping her into his arms and a soul crushing hug.Camila giggled, hugging him back. “Congratulations Keith, I am so happy for you. “Daddy,” Sheila mumbled as she approached her father who was also moving to meet her halfway, she glanced over her shoulder to confirm that her mother had indeed followed too as she hoped but then instead caught a glimpse of Keith jubilating with his mouthy stupid girlfriend, she scrunched her face in irritation to the view and was about to take her gaze away but instead her gaze landed on Frank who was still standing at the spot she had left him, the spot he stood to through her family into the mouth of the hungry sharks that lurked in the court. To be sincere she was still completely in shock over what Frank had done, how much of a chicken he ended up being. He was a freaking disappointment and Sheila was going to make sure he paid for it.“You just have a way of attracting the wrong guys, don't you?” Her father snarled as they finally met up halfway. Her eyes widened at the accusation before they narrowed back down to glare at her father, “Now it is my fault? Remember I only got i

Sheila was in awe as she stared at Keith's retreating figure who her father was still currently watching go.Mrs. Hockings frowned in confusion, blinking rapidly and trying to make sure that they were all staring at the same person, “Wait just to be sure we are all staring at each the same person. Does the person happen to be the lanky man wearing the blue shirt or is it Keith? Because they are standing so close to each other and I'm not sure who you guys are staring at, and why would we even be staring at Keith, if it was him anyway,” she rambled on, taking her gaze from her husband to her daughter before giving a disappointed pout when she came to realize that neither of them were paying her any attention or even making the tiniest attempt to give her a reply.Sheila's eyes narrowed on Keith Thompson, the man who had put them all in this mess, and ruined them until they had nothing. Why on earth would her father be considering such a man? Sheila's thoughts were quiet and almost empt
