"But that is not a reason for the decrease,” Mr. Roger scoffed.

“Indeed it doesn't look like it, but,"

Mr. Hockings growled impatiently, “Just speak up, what's with all the buts?”

The judge sat up in attention with a frown on his face, “I am surprised you have such audacity to talk especially considering you are not in the position to be doing any talking and much less yelling.”

Mr. Hockings' jaw clenched, damn he had forgotten he was not completely off the hook yet.
