Chapter fifteen

The car pulled over in front of the familiar house structure of the Hockings. He looked out the window taking in the surroundings of the place he once considered a home. He remembered the night of his wedding with Sheila when he had her in his arms both grinning at each other like idiots as they stepped into the threshold of the house after promising each other forever at the church. Sheila had requested that they live in her family's house after marriage.

'Just for a month baby,’ were Sheila's exact words to him that night when he disagreed. He didn't last long though and like always he agreed to her request because Sheila always had a way of changing his mind without even many words and he became a helpless pushover in his desperate attempt to make her happy.

“Yo man, you cool?”
