When they first heard his voice, they felt a sudden surge of hope but after they digested his response, their hope plummeted. They refused to accept his dismissal, as their desperation escalated into frantic pleas and protests.

They consoled each other as they sobbed uncontrollably, their cries echoing off the walls of the throne room.

“You may leave now. I will give your requests a thought,” Dario repeated, his tone firm.

Dario still had other guests to attend to and other plans for the day, so he had to dismiss them. Regardless, they were not worthy of his time!

“No!!!” Lauren screamed. She began to roll on the floor while wailing very loudly. “You have to help us now! Or we are not leaving,” she said, crying her eyes out with her heart shattered by Dario's dismissal.
