Mr. Alonzo's nervous glances in the rearview mirror only served to highlight his unease, while Max remained calm, his piercing gaze fixed on the horizon.

After several minutes, they arrived at an expansive compound surrounded by high walls and tight security. In the center stood a modern white facility that radiated sophistication. Two armed guards stood by the gate, their faces stoic as they watched the car approach.

The vehicle stopped, and the trio stepped out. Mr. Alonzo led the way to the guards, who stopped him with an outstretched hand.
