Chapter 4. Judgment Day!

In the emperor’s palace, rumors circulated that empress Xue Fen took the crazy young man and introduced him as Jian Zhang. The rumors even reached Gao Zhang’s ears, and as the emperor, he immediately summoned Xue Fen to inquire about the truth.

“That’s right, Your Majesty. Jian Zhang is back." Xue Fen confirmed.

“Bring Jian Zhang here!” Gao Zhang ordered.

Xue Fen was silent.

This morning Xue Fen had already tried to wake up her son, but whatever she did to get Jian Zhang to wake up failed. She even found something odd about her son. It worried her a lot.

“Sorry, Your Majesty. Jian Zhang had already traveled a long way, and now he was tired. Let him rest first.” Xue Fen replied calmly.

“Is it really Jian Zhang?” Li Wei joined in.

Xue Fen cold stare. How dare a concubine interrupt the conversation of the emperor and empress?

“Of course, a mother knows her son very well. There’s no way I could be wrong.” Xue Fen smiled in response to Li Wei.

The presence of Jian Zhang certainly threatens the position of Li Wei’s son who currently occupies the position of crown prince. Because Jian Zhang is the rightful crown prince.

Gao Zhang hesitated.

“Tell Jian Zhang he has to be at the banquet tonight. There’s no reason not to come.” After saying that, Gao Zhang and Li Wei left Xue Fen.

The empress confidant’s doctor didn’t even know what had happened to Jian Zhang. They haven’t come across a case like this, and don’t know how to treat the prince.

“What happened son?” Xue Fen who realized that her son had woken up. She came closer and touched Jian Zhang’s cold cheek.

That was weird. The human body can’t be this cold. But Xue Fen dispelled any prejudice against her son.

Jian Zhang didn’t answer. He just stared at his mother’s exhausted face. How many years have passed? A lot of things had happened, including the fact that his older sister was blind.

“Your Highness Xue Fen." A maid called out in a worried tone. “The bodyguards are in front of the house. They want to take Young Master Jian Zhang,” she added.

Xue Fen looked panicked. Her son had just returned, but he didn’t feel the slightest bit of calm. ”No need to worry, mom." Jian Zhang got up from his bed.

“I’ve been waiting for this time for a long time.”

Revenge will start from now!

In the banquet hall, Jian Zhang who has returned became the hot topic.

“Where is Jian Zhang?” Gao Zhang asked in a tone of suppressed anger.

“Sorry, Your Highness. Jian Zhang is in a terrible state, so he can’t come.” Xue Fen reasoned.

Li Wei smiled broadly, as if she had won something.

“Ah, The Empress didn’t lie about Jian Zhang, right?” Li Wei asked.

“Listen, Xue Fen, if you’re going to lie to me, then I...” Gao Zhang’s words disappeared as his eyes met with a young man who had just entered.

It’s Jian Zhang!

Jian Zhang walked straight.

Did the young man rise from the dead?

The princes looked at him with hatred. The ministers stared in shock. And everyone present was stunned to see Jian Zhang in good condition.

Didn’t Jian Zhang jump into the abyss? If he’s still alive, isn’t it strange that he’s doing well?

“Sorry, Your Majesty, that I came late.” Jian Zhang bowed respectfully. “I have some business to attend to.”

Gao Zhang and Li Wei were just silent. Both of them looked displeased with Jiang Zhang’s arrival.

After that,that, Jian Zhang turned his body. He looked closely at everyone present. Until one figure put a smile on his face.

Jian Zhang walked straight towards the man.

He is the head guard. Where his duty is to protect the kingdom, including the empress. But that night, the head guard did not do his job well.

Jian Zhang still remembers. No one came to the mother’s place, no one saved her mother and sister.

“I borrowed your sword!” Jian Zhang said as he took the guard’s sword.

“Welcome back, Prince.” The head guard frowned. He bowed respectfully in anxiety.

Why did Jian Zhang suddenly come towards him?

“The prince killed the head guard!”

“Run!”

Screams filled the hall. They saved themselves from Jian Zhang's blade.

“Prince is mad!”

No one could stop Jian Zhang. With a flat stare, he killed all the guards.

“What did the prince do?”

Even Xue Fen was surprised by his son’s actions.

“I will execute the guards who did not fulfill their duties four years ago.” Jian Zhang looked at the few guards. His memory was still very clear. He knew who to execute.

“Stop it!” Gao Zhang stood up from his golden chair.

"Why?" Jian Zhang smiled faintly. "You didn't execute them after what happened 4 years ago, oh, or have you forgotten what happened already?"

"Or are you the one who sent someone to kill me?"
