The ending isn't this bad

"Father, Darren received a threat and he's trying to hide it" The well-composed man with sharp eyes sat on the available seat across the man reading the newspaper. "If I had not discovered him hiding the package, I would not have known."

Trent Abner, the man reading the newspaper, lifted his gaze away from what he was reading and met the gaze of his first son, Alex. He was also the father of Darren. "Have you investigated what occurred? That boy is a troublemaker."

Alex exhaled deeply, his frustration palpable. "Father, please. You sent him to the military, where he has served for more than two years without complaint. This is not something that is simple, in my opinion."

With a look of pure rage, Trent slammed the newspaper to the ground. "Don't bother me, Alex! Don’t let him bother you; concentrate on your tasks."
