"WHAT ARE you doing here, you freak?” Carson asked, his brows furrowing. He was talking earlier to an employee about his appointment, so he didn't expect to see Damian.
“I asked you a question first. Are you here to treat your wound because of my punch?” Damian raised a brow.
“Hah! What wound are you talking about?” Carson laughed condescendingly. “You really thought you could hurt me because of that weak punch? You even call a punch?”
“That weak punch you’re telling me now is the same punch that made your nose bleed. Did you forget? Or did I accidentally hit your head, too?” Damian pointed at his forehead, pissing Carson.
Carson grabbed Damian on the collar, his teeth gritting. “Who the fuck do you think you are to treat me like this? Do you even know who I am?"
“Of course. We both know who you are.” Damian held Carson’s wrist and twisted it—Strong enough to make Carson groan in pain, but light enough not to break his bones. “You’re someone who took Ava away from me.”
He doesn’t love Ava anymore, but remembering how she cheated and disrespected him on the day of their anniversary makes his blood boil.
“You…You!” Carson tried attacking Damian but it was to no avail. Damian was strong, and his stance was extraordinary. He stood like a rock where no one could move him.
Damian let go of Carson before he already lost control.
“Fucking shit!” Carson grimaced as he looked at his wrist. It was swollen, and it hurt like hell.
If Damian’s one punch could make his cheek and lip bruised, and his mere grip could make his wrist swollen in pain, then no doubt. Damian was strong enough, and Carson alone couldn’t take him down.
“Remember this. If I put more force into that punch last time, you will not only end up in a hospital but in the morgue,” Damian muttered, his voice intimidating. “And I can do it again if you test my patience."
Carson frozed in his spot as shivers run down his spine. He became speechless even after Damian left him alone with the crowd. He subtly looked at the people walking past him and got embarrassed.
‘You’ll pay for this, you fucking pauper.'
He took his phone and called Anthony, the leader of the security department in the hospital. He knew every high-ranking employee personally because of his connections.
“Hello, Anthony?”
“Greetings, Sir Carson,” Anthony spoke on the other line politely. “It’s been a while since you called me. Is someone troubling you?”
“Yes. A beggar just entered this hospital,” Carson answered, his brows furrowing. “Are your employees doing their jobs properly? How can you let a beggar be inside this hospital? Do you know how much trouble he gave me?”
Anthony went silent for a moment. The security guards at the entrance always had a list of all the patients who were allowed to go inside, so a beggar couldn’t go in. He wanted to tell that to Carson, but no one should go to the hidden heir’s bad side.
“I’m sorry for the trouble you experienced, Sir. I promise that this will not happen again,” Anthony said calmly. “May I ask where are you? I will ask my guards to accompany you. Aren’t there any guards nearby?”
There are two guards near the entrance, but Carson didn’t call them on purpose. It would make him look weaker, knowing that Damian defeated him in terms of strength. He would embarrass the whole Ferremento family alongside him.
“I don’t need any guards now. I’m fine, but that beggar went upstairs,” Carson looked at the elevator moving. “You should do something, don’t you think?”
“Yes, Sir! I’ll send my guards and I’m going there myself right now!”
"Great." Carson ended the call with a wicked smirk.
A few moments later, Anthony and his guards went to the reception area where Carson was waiting for them. Anthony was on a phone call since he asked the guards to find someone who looked like a beggar.
“There’s no beggar here, Sir,” the person informed Anthony on the other line. “But there’s someone on the fourteenth floor who looked like a commoner.”
“A commoner?”
“Yes, Sir. His shirt and pants are simple—No sign of expensive things,” the guard answered. “I also had some witnesses here. They said that he gripped sir Carson’s wrist earlier, but no one can call the security because of fear.”
“That fucking bastard… How dare he cause a scene here?” Anthony clenched his fists, annoyed that someone managed to break into their security. “Monitor him. We’re going there.”
Anthony ended the call and bowed in front of Carson. “We found him, Sir. Should we beat him to a pulp before throwing him away?"
“Do whatever you want with him. I’m counting on you.” Carson tapped Anthony’s back. “If you manage to break his bones, I’ll tell the higher-ups to promote you. Is that a fair deal?”
“Yes, Sir!”
Meanwhile, Damian was on the fourteenth floor, looking for the doctor’s room. He didn’t know that this hospital was humongous, and one floor alone already consisted of a hundred rooms.
It’s time-consuming for him to wander around the hallways. Asking for directions from the guards would be a great idea, but all of them were looking at Damian like he was a criminal needed to be monitored.
‘Why are they looking at me like that?’ Damian wondered.
He ignored it as he continued walking, but suddenly, tons of guards blocked his way.
“We don’t want to create any ruckus here, so we’ll let you leave this place quietly," said Anthony in a cold tone, which made Damian raise a brow.
“And why would I do that?”
“We received a report about an unauthorized person entering this hospital, and it’s you. You’re not on the list and didn’t have an appointment.” Anthony raised the document in his hand. "Leave while we're asking you nicely."
Damian’s expression became cold. "What if I don't want to?”
"We’ll make you leave, then.” Anthony smirked.
“I’m afraid you can’t do that.”
"You're seeking death, huh?" Anthony signaled one of his guards to attack Damian, which he did.
But to their surprise, Damian took him down in one single move.
“I told you, didn’t I? You can’t make me leave.”
To everyone who added this story to their library, thank you so much! I hope you'll like Damian's story and support it with your comments and gems!
Anthony and his team went pale, seeing how Damian managed to knock the guard down in one move. Damian snapped his neck and looked at Anthony with a smirk, obviously mocking him.“What are you doing, you stupid fools? Attack him!” Anthony exclaimed.“Yes, Sir!”A total of five guards went to Damian. They surrounded him, making sure that Damian would have nowhere to run—As if Damian had plans to escape.“Are you ready, you prick?” one of Damian’s opponents asked before placing himself in a fighting position. He looked muscular and tall, and usually, people who see him would be scared in a second, but not Damian.Damian, instead of being intimidated, just smiled wickedly before fixing his stance. He placed both his hands in his pocket and stood up straight. “Then, try me.”“We’ll beat you to a pulp!”The five guards attacked him simultaneously, but Damian only dodged all the attacks, still his hands were in his pocket. Damian wasn’t attacking back, making Anthony laugh.“Why aren’t you f
“What? A man like him is Doctor Raine's VIP?” “You've got to be kidding me! I can't even set an appointment no matter how much I pay!" Suddenly, the hallway was filled with buzzes, and all of them were talking about Damian. The jealousy was evident in their expressions. “Wait. Are you saying that this man is the VIP and not me?” Carson asked, his brows furrowing. “I am Carson Ferremento, the heir of the Ferremento family. Are you even sure you got the right name?” “Yes, Sir. The VIP's name written here is Damian Giovanni Smith.” Jennica looked at the document again to confirm, then to Damian after. “Is it you, Sir?” “Yes. It's me.” “This could be a mistake,” Carson said, shaking his head in disbelief. “Maybe he was on the list of people banned from the hospital, and you just mistook him as a VIP.” “No, Sir. This document containing Sir Damian's identity came from the higher-ups a few minutes ago," Jennica replied. “It can't be,” Carson muttered, his veins almost showing on his
“What do you want?” Damian asked, his brows furrowing. “Are you that nervous you can't drag me away without using tactics like this?” “I am just trying to avoid ruckus, you freak,” Carson answered, his teeth gritting. “Why? Are you nervous now?” “Why would I? No matter what you do to me, I don't have anything to lose. But how about you?” Damian asked, shifting his position. He was now sitting on the hospital bed. “If a guy like me was able to beat all of you, what would they say? That the Ferremento family's heir is as weak as a rat?” “Don't you dare speak ill to my family like that." Carson held Damian on the collar. “I'm not speaking ill to your family. I'm just spitting facts." He intentionally prolonged the conversation so he could scan the place. The small room where they are right now placed him at a great disadvantage. He had almost nowhere to run and hide. Also, unlike Anthony's guards earlier, Carson's guards looked more attentive, skilled, and trained. Damian could judg
“What? I-I am banned from the hospital?" Carson blinked twice in shock. "Who gave you that stupid instruction?! Do all of you hit your heads and forget who I am?!” “We don’t forget who you are, Sir. Your family is one of the top contributors in the hospital,” Melvin answered politely, still his head lowered, the same as his people. “Your family donated buildings and hundreds of thousands of money for the hospital’s expansions and investments.” “If you know that, then why are you doing this to me, huh?” Carson pulled Melvin on the collar and slapped him. “Why are you humiliating my family in front of a fucking beggar?!” “He’s not the one humiliating your family,” Damian suddenly spoke, which made Carson stop assaulting Melvin. “You’re the one humiliating yourself, and you’re bringing the Ferremento family with you.” ‘And you’re dragging me into humiliation, too,’ Damian added to his thoughts. The fact that Carson and him are blood-related sent shivers down Damian’s spine. Not becau
“H-How could that happen? Why would Father ask you to ban me from this hospital?” Carson asked, sweating profusely. “I don’t know either, Sir,” Zach answered, his head still bowing. “To avoid commotions, you should follow us immediately. We already prepared an exit for you.” “Follow him. As an heir, you wouldn’t like to embarrass your family, right?” Damian spoke, obviously mocking Carson. “It’s your Father’s command, after all.” Damian found it strange that Carson addressed Veron as his father, although he was certain they didn’t have a relationship as a father and son. He had so many questions in mind, but Damian’s main goal now was to get Carson out of his sight. “This wouldn’t be the last time we’ll see each other. Remember that,” Carson warned him. “It will be easy for me to ruin your reputation. You’ll regret that you messed up with someone like me!” “Alright. If you say so.” Damian shrugged, unbothered. “Take him away now and take care of those people who saw this scene,"
“Mid-Century Elegance Events…” As one of the most famous event-planning companies in the country, Mid-Century Elegance Events is one of the top subsidiaries of the Ferremento Corporation. Millions of revenue are generated every month, and they hold power toward the rich families, too. Rich people book an appointment at Mid-Century despite its high fees because of their commendable work, and it is the reason why the management is keen on hiring people in the company. It was hard to land a job at this company, and even his former classmates were rejected when they applied here, too…But not Damian. Little did everyone know, he was working at Mid-Century as a janitor. Now, how could he explain to his department that he’ll be working as an intern starting today? “Is there a problem, young master?” Thaliana asked, lowering the car window. “Master told me that this company will give you more experience and learnings than the other subsidiaries, but if you don’t like it, I’ll tell him.”
“What the hell? Who are you?!” Nicole asked, her brows furrowing. “Why did you take my phone just like that? Give it back to me!” She tried taking back her phone from his hand, but failed. “Calm down first, and I’ll give it back to you,” the man replied before looking at Damian. “What are you doing here, anyway? Did I assign you to the Operations department?" “I’ll explain it to you later,” Damian answered coldly. “As you should.” “Hah! Both of you are accomplices, aren’t you?” Nicole smirked. Her gaze flickered on the man and Damian with disgust. “It should be the case! Because why would you take his side?” “Because I’m his boss.” The man smiled before taking Nicole’s hand. He placed the phone on her palm. “I’m John, one of the team leaders in the Utilities Department." “U-Utilities department?” Nicole blinked twice, realizing something. “Then…” “You're right. Damian is one of our janitors here,” John confirmed Nicole’s suspicions. “I’m saying sorry on his behalf. Usually, he’
“Yes, Sir. I heard it loud and clear,” Diana answered on the other line. “I’ll take care of it now.” “I will also send you the recording later," Damian added and hung up the phone. He looked at John. “You should have changed your attitude while you still have a chance, but you decided to continue being a jerk.” “You don’t think that I fell for your trick, do you? Who will believe that you’re talking to Ma’am Diana?” John asked disdainfully. “I'll decrease your salary. I won't accept your resignation, too. You'll live in misery here." “You have been cheating on the company for a long time. You're passing all your workloads to the employees inferior to you, and resting like you aren't getting paid…” Damian matched John’s intense gaze. “Don’t you think you’re not making everyone live in misery by doing that?” “It's none of your fucking business!” John held Damian on the collar and gritted his teeth. “Why don’t you just turn a blind eye and work like you used to? Why do you need to int
