Rich kids and nobles have an edge over commoners or normal people and that is their wealth. They have access to money and resources that makes their life enviable and enjoyable. Fortunately for Memphis, he was on the good side of it.
Back on Earth, he remembered the w******l books he used to read in his boredom and solitude. Almost often, the protagonist was trash and later became stronger, or was from a Noble family that rejected him due to certain circumstances which made them struggle and toil for resources on their path to get stronger but well, not Memphis. As the only son of the family head, his family loved him and doted him. He wasn't just in any noble family but rather one of the most powerful ones in the kingdom. With this, he was sure that becoming a Mage was going to be a piece of cake.Currently, Memphis and his family were having their breakfast in the large family dining hall. Well dressed servants holding trays of sweet smelling delicacies entered and began to do their work of serving those around the table. In the middle of the table, an enormous tray having an enormous roasted pig with an apple in it's mouth is seen. The servants start to serve those around the table, bringing them pastries and magical fruits for them to enjoy. Around the table, the family share small talk and laugh. Three year old Memphis looked around him and thought, "damn, rich people really are privileged," This was because the feast set before them for their breakfast was fit for a king. No wonder those young nobles in those webnovels were always powerful and well to do. Of course, having access to this kind of food, a whole roasted Warrior level pig which was filled with abundant energy for a growing body like this, why won't they have a higher talent at magic compared to those who weren't in noble families?"Very soon, Memphis will be five years. We have to make preparations towards his Awakening ceremony," remarked his aunt Loyce Lerain as she forked a piece of meat into her mouth exquisitely. Memphis' mother nodded in agreement. "You're right Loyce, we have to start looking forward to our lovely boy becoming a powerful mage," she said. Irias, Memphis' father said, "Then later today, I'll send Arudiz out to start getting the necessary equipment. After all, it never hurts to prepare early." The other family members nodded in agreement.Very soon, breakfast was over and the family got out. Philip Lerain and Talis Lerain, Memphis' uncles left to see to the family business. His aunts Maureen and Loyce also were headed to see Lady Edith Murkham, to have small talk and discussions. Irias went to his study to cultivate while his mother and his uncle Donlan were giving orders to the servants for the day. The head butler, Arudiz had also left, having been sent by Irias to get equipment for Memphis.Memphis didn't want to be lonely so he requested to visit his friend Raphael Zeron of the Zeron family. His grandmother agreed and sent three of the family guards with Memphis to the Zeron family house."Well if it isn't little Memphis! My goodness, you're really growing fast! How is the family?" asked Lady Zeron as she welcomed young Memphis into the house. "Everyone is well, aunty," answered Memphis. After few minutes of pestering and fussing by Lady Zeron, she allowed Memphis to go into Raphael's room but not before giving him juice from the spiritual purple peach for him to take as a beverage. Spiritual Purple Peaches were rare magic fruits which gave the drinker calm mind and a stronger body. Only few peop6had the privilege to taste it as it was even rumoured to be able to increase one's talent in magic.Ralph was waiting for his friend Memphis and Memphis came. Ralph became friends with Memphis a little after Memphis became a year old due to family connections. The two friends had the same tutor and they thought alike. Ralph had a quirky nature and an annoying personality. Both him and Memphis were true pranksters even as little kids and their families joking called them walking disasters whenever the two were seen together."Memphis! it's good to see you! Come check this awesome gift my dad got me for my birthday," said Ralph as he proudly displayed a ring on his pinkie finger with a pink diamond. "Isn't that the ring made by Master Forger Gordon Smith? The one that can turn into a spear?" asked Memphis in surprise. "Sure!" Ralph replied with a grin. Master Gordon was a renowned forgemaster in the Daris kingdom who was proficient in making weapons which could double as accessories like rings, chains, bracelets, pens and necklaces. His work always had a pink diamond with a curly letter G on it."You're such a bragger! You should know by now that you aren't the only one getting new gifts every month! Look at my clothes will you?" said Memphis with a cheeky grin. Now it was Ralph's turn to get surprised. "Is that Master Livern's signature trademark dragon embroidered clothes? The one inlaid with protective formations?" Memphis nodded smugly. "Awesome!" replied Ralph. As characteristic of rich young masters, it wasn't surprising for them to be showing off their goodies and expensive things to each other. Now their conversation had taken a philosophical turn and anyone would have been surprised by the depth of three year old kids talking about governance. Due to constant tutoring, they were abreast with all political matters ongoing as compared to those from normal backgrounds who didn't know much of anything.Very soon, it was time for Memphis to go. He hugged his friend and left the Zeron mansion with a gift from Lady Zeron. Rich young masters indeed had life very easy! Getting hands on rare things normal people could only dream off!"Welcome home young master, you're just in time for dinner!"

"Celine we have a problem," said Dean West. Celine came over to the dean and sat beside him. "What's the matter?" she asked."Some of the groups are in trouble. I need you to head to their locations as fast as you can and bring them here," said Dean West. "Is it Memphis' group? Their mission was a bit dangerous," asked Celine."No. They have problems too but they can handle it," replied the Dean. "Fine. You owe me one Andrew," said Celine and she vanished in a puff of black smoke. The Dean cracked a smile and continued to spectate the matches.**The first part of the round had come to an end. 50 contestants made it but the rest were all eliminated. The next day was much more fierce. The contestants gave their all to see to the elimination of their opponents. With neither side giving an inch, the match was very fun to watch. Just like the first part, only 50 qualified."Alright. Don't start celebrating now after winning your first 1v1. There are three more to go. We now have 100

[Author's Note: Hi guys, it's been some time... I've been having massive problems with my internet connectivity which has made me unable to update rapidly like I am used to. Let's hope it will be resolved soon so that I can make it up to you. Oh, and please do leave reviews so I can know what you think of my book. Thanks!]**While the council were still out completing their missions, the tournament was still ongoing. The second round had ended and it was left with the 400 who had made it from the groups of 10"Congratulations to all of you! It's not been easy but somehow you've made it into the 400. Don't get complacent though because it only gets harder from here," said Eric as he looked down at the remaining 400 participants. There was a cheer from the crowd and the contestants. Clearing his throat, he continued."For making it into the top 400, all of you will be given five low grade potions and 50 crystals. Now on to the rules of this next round. Unlike the other rounds, this r

"I'll come with you," said Hector. Phinehas and the trio were preparing to leave for the caves and Hector wanted to go with them. It was a perfectly logical idea.Besides, the kidnapped kids would tend to recognize the village chief more than the Phinehas and the trio."Okay. Who will look after the village though?" asked Phinehas. "Old Zayn will help out in my absence," replied Hector. Phinehas nodded and looked at Memphis. Memphis shrugged. It was fine by him. An extra Mage wouldn't hurt especially when they were facing the likes of a general level creature. Hector took one last look at his wife. She tried to meet his gaze but glanced downwards, unable to look at her husband. Breathing heavily, Hector stood up and followed Phinehas and the trio. Old Zayn looked at Hannah. "You know that Hector loved you very much? why would you choose to hurt him so?" he asked.Hannah sniffled. "I had no choice," she replied, unable to meet the old man's gaze.**Memphis, Ralph, Cathy, Phinehas an

Stu Harper was a very smart kid. Even without anyone telling him anything, he was somehow able to deduce why Hannah, the chief's wife was being stared at like that.He was in a state of shock. Who would have suspected the chief's wife to be kidnapper? Unfortunately it was the truth. He felt very lucky.Stu remembered the times that be and other kids in the village will recieve sweets from the chief's wife. All the kids in the village liked her. How could she do this? Stu could not fathom it.Memphis sighed. He was surprised too. Of all the analysis and deductions he had made, he had never included the chief's wife. Memphis remembered a term in the police circles back on earth. They always said, don't put a crime past anyone. From a child to a an old man, any could be a potential criminal. This situation had confirmed it.Of course, the ones who were shocked the most were Old Zayn and Hector. Old Zayn heavily sat on the ground and kept muttering. Hector meanwhile kneels before his wife

The masked woman clicked her tongue in annoyance. She had been tricked by the boy and was now standing on a movement restriction formation. There were many kinds of formations. The basic ones required the Mage to draw the circles and diagrams of the formation along with runes. This was a very tiring process as the drawn formation had to be inch perfect. If there was a lopsided circle, a wrong rune or any outside interference, the rune was bound to spoil. There was another type though which belonged to the rich and elite. This was called an irregular formation. Thus, the formation has already been made and the only thing a person needed to do was to get someone to activate the properties by stepping on it. In terms of space or coverage area, hand drawn formations were the best. Some could span as wide as 100 meters. Irregular formations though were movable and had less chance of failing as the formation had already been made expertly. Chief Hector had long noticed the signal and be

"Whoever is behind this has seriously crossed the line!" Hector fumed. It was almost midnight but he and his wife couldn't sleep. How could they sleep when their only child was kidnapped? You may not understand it until you become a parent yourself. The pain of losing a child and an only one at that was far painful than any form of cruel torture inflicted on the parent. Whether Benjamin was alive or dead, not seeing him for the past hours had been very tough for his parents.Hannah had regained her composure but she sat quietly on the bed, hugging her knees. Earlier, after the trio had gone to bed, he had to go out of the village to unwind, leaving behind fiery destruction before he calmed himself down. After a pause of silence, Hector spoke in a grave tone."I have to go to the city and request the services of a more powerful mage than I," "No that's dangerous. The people of the village need you, Hector. If you leave and anything... happens, what would we say? The... incidents don'
