Growing up as a rich young master

Rich kids and nobles have an edge over commoners or normal people and that is their wealth. They have access to money and resources that makes their life enviable and enjoyable. Fortunately for Memphis, he was on the good side of it.

Back on Earth, he remembered the w******l books he used to read in his boredom and solitude. Almost often, the protagonist was trash and later became stronger, or was from a Noble family that rejected him due to certain circumstances which made them struggle and toil for resources on their path to get stronger but well, not Memphis. As the only son of the family head, his family loved him and doted him. He wasn't just in any noble family but rather one of the most powerful ones in the kingdom. With this, he was sure that becoming a Mage was going to be a piece of cake.

Currently, Memphis and his family were having their breakfast in the large family dining hall. Well dressed servants holding trays of sweet smelling delicacies entered and began to do their work of serving those around the table.

In the middle of the table, an enormous tray having an enormous roasted pig with an apple in it's mouth is seen. The servants start to serve those around the table, bringing them pastries and magical fruits for them to enjoy. Around the table, the family share small talk and laugh.

Three year old Memphis looked around him and thought, "damn, rich people really are privileged," This was because the feast set before them for their breakfast was fit for a king. No wonder those young nobles in those webnovels were always powerful and well to do. Of course, having access to this kind of food, a whole roasted Warrior level pig which was filled with abundant energy for a growing body like this, why won't they have a higher talent at magic compared to those who weren't in noble families?

"Very soon, Memphis will be five years. We have to make preparations towards his Awakening ceremony," remarked his aunt Loyce Lerain as she forked a piece of meat into her mouth exquisitely. Memphis' mother nodded in agreement. "You're right Loyce, we have to start looking forward to our lovely boy becoming a powerful mage," she said. Irias, Memphis' father said, "Then later today, I'll send Arudiz out to start getting the necessary equipment. After all, it never hurts to prepare early." The other family members nodded in agreement.

Very soon, breakfast was over and the family got out. Philip Lerain and Talis Lerain, Memphis' uncles left to see to the family business. His aunts Maureen and Loyce also were headed to see Lady Edith Murkham, to have small talk and discussions. Irias went to his study to cultivate while his mother and his uncle Donlan were giving orders to the servants for the day. The head butler, Arudiz had also left, having been sent by Irias to get equipment for Memphis.

Memphis didn't want to be lonely so he requested to visit his friend Raphael Zeron of the Zeron family. His grandmother agreed and sent three of the family guards with Memphis to the Zeron family house.

"Well if it isn't little Memphis! My goodness, you're really growing fast! How is the family?" asked Lady Zeron as she welcomed young Memphis into the house. "Everyone is well, aunty," answered Memphis. After few minutes of pestering and fussing by Lady Zeron, she allowed Memphis to go into Raphael's room but not before giving him juice from the spiritual purple peach for him to take as a beverage. Spiritual Purple Peaches were rare magic fruits which gave the drinker calm mind and a stronger body. Only few peop6had the privilege to taste it as it was even rumoured to be able to increase one's talent in magic.

Ralph was waiting for his friend Memphis and Memphis came. Ralph became friends with Memphis a little after Memphis became a year old due to family connections. The two friends had the same tutor and they thought alike. Ralph had a quirky nature and an annoying personality. Both him and Memphis were true pranksters even as little kids and their families joking called them walking disasters whenever the two were seen together.

"Memphis! it's good to see you! Come check this awesome gift my dad got me for my birthday," said Ralph as he proudly displayed a ring on his pinkie finger with a pink diamond. "Isn't that the ring made by Master Forger Gordon Smith? The one that can turn into a spear?" asked Memphis in surprise. "Sure!" Ralph replied with a grin. Master Gordon was a renowned forgemaster in the Daris kingdom who was proficient in making weapons which could double as accessories like rings, chains, bracelets, pens and necklaces. His work always had a pink diamond with a curly letter G on it.

"You're such a bragger! You should know by now that you aren't the only one getting new gifts every month! Look at my clothes will you?" said Memphis with a cheeky grin. Now it was Ralph's turn to get surprised. "Is that Master Livern's signature trademark dragon embroidered clothes? The one inlaid with protective formations?" Memphis nodded smugly. "Awesome!" replied Ralph.

As characteristic of rich young masters, it wasn't surprising for them to be showing off their goodies and expensive things to each other.

Now their conversation had taken a philosophical turn and anyone would have been surprised by the depth of three year old kids talking about governance. Due to constant tutoring, they were abreast with all political matters ongoing as compared to those from normal backgrounds who didn't know much of anything.

Very soon, it was time for Memphis to go. He hugged his friend and left the Zeron mansion with a gift from Lady Zeron. Rich young masters indeed had life very easy! Getting hands on rare things normal people could only dream off!

"Welcome home young master, you're just in time for dinner!"
