"Damn it..." George said as he looked at the blue full moon. He felt nervous about the mission he had to do tomorrow.

"You're staying up?" Major Ivan asked as he walked towards George in his white t-shirt.

"Uhm, I can't sleep," George replied. "And I don't think I will be able to fulfill the mission successfully tomorrow." He said as he looked at his hands, "These hands only know how to work, and kill monsters, ever since the mass-scale invasion, I had to join the army, and I had no time to study. I don't know how to write properly and I am probably a retard when compared to everyone else. Please tell the General, that let me kill the monsters, don't make me do what I don't know." He continued as he looked at the Major's eyes in fear.

The Major's face turned visibly confused as his right eyebrow raised, "You don't know how to write properly?" He asked.

"Yeah, I mean, I can talk, I can read a bit. But I have troubling spelling words." George explained.

"No, that's not what I want to know. I don't care if you have a problem with writing or if you don't have any experience in spying. You have a gift, a gift that can change all that. You have more than one life. That itself is insane." The Major said before tapping George's shoulder, "So what if you don't know how to spy? Kill, Die, Learn, Adapt. For me and the military or anyone in this world, time is of the essence and it is most important that we use it to its max and we don't make any mistakes. But you. You are special. Make mistakes, get stabbed, get shot, but always learn and adapt after that. Tomorrow, you must do just that." He continued.

George nodded as he turned to look at the moon again, "I just wish that this world can be peaceful... No wars, no monsters, just... peace, just like this moment." He sighed.

Major Ivan nodded, "I don't need to hope about that anymore. Because that hope is right beside me." He said while turning to George.

"Cliche." George smiled as he walked back to his tent.

But what he didn't know was that the General was looking at him through a window with a black-and-white picture held in his hands. In the picture was a younger version of the General, and right beside him, was a man that had a near-perfect resemblance to George. "That punk... He should have told me he had a son." He smiled as he looked at George walking to his tent.

___

"Hey!" A man with dark skin shouted, he was wearing a suit and his hair was cleanly cut.

"Yes sir?" George asked while eating his meal, he was still in the military canteen. Major Ivan told him that a person would help him on his mission.

"Drop the sir, I'm Agent Jefferson," Jefferson said as he sat in front of George. "I have heard of your feats, the first non-hunter to ever kill an A-rank monster. You have an impressive resume." He continued.

"Agent Jefferson, if I may, are you the guy that General Jordan sent to help me?" George asked.

"I hope I don't need to babysit your ass, but yes, I will be assisting you in this mission." He said as he pull out his laptop from his bag and put it on top of the table. "As you might know, Brad Roth is holding a military convention today at night. There, he will be demonstrating the Neuralink." He added while he showed a picture of Brad Roth. "But that is something that you do not need to worry about. What you need to do, is to wait until the event is over, pretend to be one of the guards hired to protect Brad Roth, follow him to the Roth Tower, and get as much information as you can."

George nodded and smile, "Wow, so I just wait, and get in a truck, pretend to be one of his guards, get into his building, take some information and get out? That's nice." He said, thankful that it sounds easy.

Agent Jefferson chuckled as he saw the naive George, "Well, say whatever you want." He said before looking at George's hair, "But before we go, we need to fix your hair." He continued while staring at the simple and messy 2 block cut.

"What's wrong with it?" George asked as he fiddled with his hair, "The barber said that it is a classic." He added.

"A classic for the K-pop stans. But you look like a hobo." Agent Jefferson replied as he stood up, "Follow me." He gestured to George as the both of them walked out.

George followed around the base and walked into another tent with the Agent, "Gosh! Why do you have a coconut for a head?" A man shouted pointing at George's haircut.

Agent Jefferson smiled and tapped George's back before shaking the hands of the man who shouted, "Yeah, I brought him here to fix it. We need to go to Brad Roth's ceremony. Get him the best haircut he has ever had. I want it to be short but stylish." He said.

The barber nodded and turned to George, "Well, that shouldn't be hard. And it would be my pleasure to rid of another person's bad haircut." He said before pushing George to the chair and immediately getting to work.

"Wait! Can I at least choose my hairstyle?" George asked as he tried getting off the chair.

The barber got closer to George's face, "No. Now sit down and let me do my job." He replied with a smile.

George sighed and sat down as he saw the hair that he has been keeping long for a long time falling on his nose. "So long buddy..." He said as the barber started cutting his hair at a fast pace.

___

"Why am I wearing a suit?" George asked Agent Jefferson with a confused look in his eyes.

They were both in a van that had a lot of equipment and computers. And they were right outside the hotel where Brad Roth's military convention was being held.

"That's fine. Just kill him with the string in the bag." Agent Jefferson replied.George laughed it off, thinking that Jefferson was just playing a bad prank on him, "Yeah whatever, now where is the weapon?" He asked."The string is in the briefcase. Just open it." Agent Jefferson replied."The string?" George asked wondering why Jefferson was talking about the string, and as he opened his briefcase, he could see the scanner, a machine built into the briefcase, and a black string."That string is strong. Just kill that guy with the string." Agent Jefferson said seriously as George took the string out of the briefcase."I wasn't expecting you to be serious... I can't kill a guy with a string. I need something like a knife, or better yet, a gun!" George whispered angrily at Agent Jefferson."You'll be fine. You're a soldier anyways, you should be able to fight against a normal guard easily." Agent Jefferson replied treating George's worry as a mere overreaction.George sighed before wal

"So let me explain to you everything, you will be-" George paced back and forth as he spoke, his frustration palpable. "Be pretending to be Senator Dick, I will be going inside to take an identity of a guard before going to Roth Tower to get some information."Agent Jefferson nodded, but George could sense his apprehension. He walked over to the metal cabinet and swung it open, revealing a man bound and gagged inside. "This is Senator Dick and you will be scanning his face to get me a mask which will make me look like him. Look, I don't need any information, and I damn well know that I do not need the string that is in that suitcase, I need a gun."Agent Jefferson hesitated for a moment, eyeing the suitcase in his hand. "Look, the string is pretty strong," he offered.George rolled his eyes. "I need a gun," he said firmly. With a resigned sigh, Agent Jefferson rummaged through the box and retrieved a black Glock. "It's a gun with a silencer," he said, handing it over. "It will be lou

George had kept to himself inside the truck while the other guards realized he was quiet. But they just guessed it was because they had pointed their gun at him and almost killed him. As they stopped at the gate, he saw the tall tower that was the beacon of technology in the United States; that building alone cost 68 billion dollars. As they passed through the gate, the driver stopped and looked behind, "Mason, this is your stop; they have changed your place to guard the outside." He said before opening the back door. George nodded as he walked out, now slightly panicking from what was happening. He was supposed to go inside to get information, not walk around the gate of Roth tower. As he walked around the gate, he shook his head as he saw the countless amount of cameras that were there. 'I might be able to get away with walking inside the gate and maybe into the tower, but any more than that will get me caught.' And if he did get caught, he would have to solve the problem: the ma

George ran down as fast as he could; his mind couldn't process what had just happened in front of him; as he reached the stairs, he exited the door and saw the clone's body lying on the floor. He then looked away and continued running towards the gate before the guards who were trapped in the building saw him come out of the emergency door. "He's there! Catch him!" One of them shouted as they all ran after him, causing George to look back. But he didn't see any of the guards chasing after him. Instead, he saw the clone standing up as if taking a nap and started running after him at high speed, "Shit! Jefferson, the cyborg son of a ████ is chasing after me!!!" He screamed as he could hear the steps coming closer. "Hold on! Jump to the side!!!" Jefferson shouted. George, who was extremely good at following orders jumped to the side even though he didn't know what it was for. Suddenly the van that Agent Jefferson was in passed by him before hitting the clone away. "Get in!" Jeffe

"No, you didn't... Tell me you didn't..." George replied, shocked that the Major would do such a thing."George... I know that this might seem bad... But I will get the money back. The money is trackable after all, and I have taken a picture of the money as assurance." He said while pulling out his phone and showing it to George. The serial number... Good thinking..." George replied. "Once we find that son of a gun, I will beat the living shit out of him." He laughed."Yeah, you know, it's not so bad... This situation... only a few days ago, we were chased down to be killed..." George nodded, realizing that he wouldn't have been able to get this far without the sudden gift he had obtained."I've been thinking... about your ability." "What about it, sir?" "I've been wondering, could someone already know about your ability?"Upon hearing this, George raised his eyebrows before shaking his head, "That's impossible, sir... 'Quickly!' George took out the gun from his pocket. Snatch! The gun was quickly taken away from another Russian hiding behind all along before he felt a kick at the back of his knees causing him to fall down. He tried rolling to get up before he felt a boot on his face putting heavy pressure on it. AH! He felt as if his head was about to explode, but this might work as well. But the boot was lifted up, leaving his skull slightly cracked but nothing so serious that would end his life. Drago walked away from George before turning to look at one of his new team members, "Put them both in the room. Do not in any circumstance let them out, and do not kill them, especially the young one." He talked in Russian before walking out of the factory. # Thud! Both George and Ivan were thrown into a room with no window and the only exit was a locked metal door. "Shit," George cursed before Ivan got closer to the door and placed his ears on it to make sure that no one was near enough to lis

"So… that is a dungeon, huh?" George asked as he exited the truck while Major Ivan strolled away, walking to one of the officers that had arrived there. "So what is the rating? Seems that even the General has no idea." "The Hunter's association has rated this dungeon, Unknown, sir." "Damn it." Major Ivan replied as he looked up at the portal of the dungeon, which was starting to turn slightly red. "And how long until a dungeon breakout could occur?" "We have about 2 days!" One of the hunters shouted as he walked toward both of the soldiers. "And who are you?" "I'm a class B hunter from the association, Hans-Jurgen. Let's just say that I am somebody that knows about 'hunting' in dungeons." The German hunter said with his chin up high, clearly looking down on the regular soldiers. "Hans… The guy who stopped the C-level dungeon breakout on his own?" Major Ivan asked. Hans nodded, "Yes. And I have also gotten an order from the association to only involve hunters… And, I don't thin

The Ginjets flew over the vast sea while the soldiers were looking at their sea scanning radar to find any signs of strange movement that might hint at the movement of the submarine. "Any signs?" General Howard asked while pacing back and forth, his mind racing with possibilities of what Jordan might be planning. "Sir, we have contacted the National Reconnaissance Office. They will be checking for any visible signs of the enemy when they go on land, but for now, we don't have any." "Think! There must be some way to find them; if they are using a nuclear-powered submarine, then there must be a way that we can somehow find them through scanning nuclear energy nearby." "Sir, the whole base was filled with nuclear waste… We won't be able to find them… the nuclear waste has been spreaded out.” Howard punched the window, nearly breaking it, and could feel his heart beating with his stomach aching in anxiety; as he looked at his watch, he could see that it was 14:00. “Sir, we are ready. We are waiting for your orders.” General Howard looked down upon the sea base, “They must be scared… None of them are outside….” “Perhaps they thought that we would be attacking them directly?” One of the strategists responded while looking at the base using her binoculars before seeing a figure in one of the doors. “I see someone peeking at us… It seems that they really think that we will be going for a direct attack.” “Well, that’s for the best then. Destroy them.” He ordered just loud enough for all of them to hear. As the soldiers prepared to drop the heavy explosives on the sea base, the strategist could see the figure that was peeking at them from the sea base, entering and hiding back at the sea base. That figure to be exact, was Major Ivan. “Ivan, so what’s the condition outside?” “Not good. They are going to blow this place up. We should leave right now. We might have only 2 minutes max.” General Jordan sighed in relief as the both of them continued

"Where are they!?" The former Colonel, now turned Four Star General Howard screamed at the soldiers. "Satellites indicate they are in the Sea Base, Sir!" "Sea Base?" The Colonel paused before his phone rang. "General Howard?" Another General, who had more badges on his chest, walked towards him as he tried talking. "Wait." Howard pulled out his phone before answering it. His whole stature and persona that fit a strong and harsh leader had changed to a more respectful one, "Yes, sir?" He answered in a very polite tone, a vast difference from the one that he used not long ago. Everyone there stood quiet; they knew who General Howard was talking to. In fact, the news broke out that some unknown entity within the UN had promoted Howard for some unknown reason. And the other 37 Generals who had a position similar to the one he recently had all been demoted to Lower 4 Star General to increase the status and the authority that Howard received. But this information had been made priva

The pilot pulled back on his controls, ascending the plane to its maximum altitude. "Come on!" the pilot shouted, straining to align the plane directly above the sky. The metal covering the aircraft shook intensely, compressed by the high-speed flight. Seated in the co-pilot's chair, the Major was covered in the blood of the deceased co-pilot, his seatbelt securely fastened. The g-force pulled everyone's skin back, giving them the appearance of aging by four decades. Some even fainted due to the force. The pilot glanced at the fuel gauge, anticipating the low fuel level. With the slow leakage and the maneuvers performed, it was no surprise that their fuel was running low so early. Turning to his left, the pilot checked on the condition of the Major. The Major held onto his seatbelt tightly, struggling to communicate with the pilot through distorted mouth movements, saying, "Wha... ah ... we... asen?" "What?" the pilot asked, attempting to decipher the Major's message. But befor

The sleek military planes descended gracefully, their wings slicing through the air as they touched down upon the rugged expanse of the Texas land base. The pilots then manoeuvred their aircraft, bringing them to a halt, As the dust settled and the engines powered down, the pilot looked towards his co-pilot before seeing a glim of light right behind his head. Before the window behind his co-pilot shattered, a bullet shot through his head, causing his whole body to turn lifeless and drop to the ground. The pilot quickly ducked before taking his microphone," Take cover. We are being attacked!!!" "Not here too?!" The General shouted as he peeked out of the window and could see soldiers hiding and blending into the environment; if it weren't for the light that was reflecting from their scope, he would have never known that they were there. The commissioner's hand trembled as he heard General Jordan's voice instead of General Damien's. "Sir... Where's General Damien?" Beep... General Jordan abruptly ended the call, leaving the commissioner dumbfounded. He slumped into his chair, scanning the room in search of answers. It was inconceivable that General Jordan's army could have defeated the soldiers under the command of the highly esteemed 5th Star General. They weren't even prepared for a fight. "What the hell happened...?" He glanced at the phone directory once more, searching for another number. He dialled the guard's phone, which he had borrowed. "Colonel Howard... I think General Damien might be dead." The Colonel froze, disbelief etched on his face as he looked at the commissioner, shrouded in darkness. He whispered into the phone, "Is that really you, Commissioner?" "Yeah, it's me. My damn phone broke, so I'm using this one for now. But listen, there's a good chance General Damien is dead." The guard nodded, searching his pockets until he produced a small smartphone. He unlocked it and handed it to the Commissioner. Astentstein snatched the phone and swiftly navigated to the call application. Pulling out a small booklet from his back pocket, he located a number he had written down and dialed it. Chapter 48: Fight With Damien Part 3

George stood firmly in front of Damien, his body tense with anticipation. It was the second time he had experienced this day, and he knew exactly what moves Damien would execute. Yet, even armed with this knowledge, George couldn't shake the feeling of inferiority that washed over him. He still felt small, weak, and utterly unaware of the circumstances surrounding him. But George couldn't afford to dwell on these thoughts. Failure was not an option, for if he faltered now, he would be forced to relive the entire day using his time loop abilities. Fatigue weighed on George's mind, though it didn't manifest in his physical form. It was evident in his eyes, which carried the weariness of experiencing the same events twice over. With determination fueling his every move, George launched a punch towards Damien. Yet, just as he predicted, Damien effortlessly sidestepped the attack, evading it as he had done before. Undeterred by his missed punch, George unleashed a rapid series of strike
