The Real Flames

' I don't understand so you are saying my flames are not flames.' Kevin asked.

' Yeah, it's my energy of Death. It is ignited like a purple flame but it is not a real flame.' Dawn said.

' So how was I able to burn them?'

' You didn't burn them, the energy heated them from inside.'

There were so many questions that Kevin wanted to ask Dawn, so he was having a hard time staying calm. He didn't know what he had become and thought he became a ball of flames.

' I am just going to help you get more of this energy by expanding your core.' Dawn said.

' I want to use real flames can't you do something, now that I think about it. I didn't burn anything for a very long time, I was a fire magic swordsman, so I feel better with flames that are real.'

' It will not be beneficial, now just get down here on my hand.' Dawn crossed his hand. He had answered so many questions of Kevin today that he felt annoyed whenever he asked anything else.

On the side, Leona, Luna, and Cole were sitting watching Dawn. It was obvious that he was annoyed as he stomped his foot many times on the ground.

" Can master talk to Kevin?" Leona raised a question.

" You just found out, I knew it for a long time," Cole replied to her. Leona looked at Cole angrily when he boasted about it in front of her.

Luna who sat between them felt uncomfortable that now an argument might break in between the two of them.

Kevin finally decided to just let Dawn do whatever he wanted. He reached his palm and Dawn grabbed his Core, suddenly purple veins appeared on his arm, and his palm was covered in dense purple energy.

' I have got enough energy from killing those bandits, I will entrust everything to you.' Dawn spoke to Kevin.

The core which was the size of an eyeball started to expand within the palm of Dawn's hand.

' I hope, I don't kill Kevin in the process.' Dawn thought to himself.

------

Lock was in the village when he heard the news of the creatures of Death roaming the forest, he managed to stay Calm and knew that everything will be alright. As long as it's not something that the knights can not handle he doesn't need to interfere.

However, he came to check the forest anyway because he was concerned about the security of others. He wanted to see for himself how big of a threat it was and whether he should interfere or not.

Just when he was scouting the forest, he found f humans and followed them. Finally leading him to where Dawn was currently helping Kevin to evolve.

Some other kids were arguing, He eavesdropped on their conversation and heard them say a name that made his emotion run wild. It was the name of a friend he had buried a few months ago after his death. These kids were arguing about him, he could also see Dawn doing something with a ball of flames, how he grabbed it and purple energy covered his palms.

' That Kid, what is he doing? That ball of flame couldn't be Kevin. There is no way what these kids are arguing about it is true.' Everything was happening in front of his eyes but he was still arguing against the truth in his mind. But deep down he started believing in them and then started to walk towards Dawn.

" Hey, You, You are here to harm the master, right?" Leona shouted, she was the first one to notice Lock.

" Stay away from him, he is helping Kevin."

The three of them got in his way, Dawn also saw this but kept on giving his energy to form a larger core for Kevin.

' Why is he here?' Dawn thought to himself.

" Leona, Luna, Cole, don't fight him, let him come to me, he just has something to ask," Dawn ordered.
