The Real Flames Part 2

The process of evolution for Kevin was still ongoing, however, Dawn knew that he must be ready to face a conflict with Lock if he gets offended. This is why he tried to handle the situation calmly and tried to initiate a talk.

" What did they mean by calling that ball of fire 'Kevin'?" Lock asked.

" It's your friend's name, He decided to become my servant to complete his motives. I have changed his soul into one of my undead servants." Dawn said the truth.

" You are not a kid, not in a million years. I have heard about people like you who could raise dead and make them their slaves. You are connected to the Demon tower, right?" Lock asked furiously.

" Even if you are just a kid, I will have to kill you for that."

" Demon tower?" It was the first time Dawn had heard something like that. " I don't even know what you are talking about."

" Are you trying to make an excuse?" Lock shouted.

At this point the other three kids were alarmed, it no longer felt like they were just going to talk.

" What should we do? That man will kill Dawn." Cole spoke.

" I am going to kill him as soon as he moves." Leona already had a dagger in her hand and was ready to move.

" You and all of us are going to die if you try something." Cole grabbed Leona.

However, he couldn't stop her because the next moment Lock took out his sword from the scabbard and pointed it toward Dawn.

" No!" Luna shouted and Leona had already moved to attack him while Cole ran behind her.

" Stop!" Dawn shouted with all his strength for them to hear. Leona and Luna suddenly froze where they were standing, they couldn't disobey his command.

' Is it because of the marking he gave to them?' Cole thought and grabbed Leona by her hand and dragged her back.

" I don't want to fight you now, I am doing something to help your friend Kevin. So you should not try to get in my way."

" Why do I have to listen–" Lock shouted and moved towards Dawn with his blade in hand but couldn't finish his sentence as the next second the dead wolf stood between Dawn and Lock and started to growl.

" I can kill the likes of these creatures with one swing of my blade." Lock shouted as he went for a kill.

' I just need a few seconds.' He was about to finish evolving Kevin. As Lock claimed, it only took him four or five strikes to deal with the undead Wolfbat.

' What have I missed? Why is he here?' Kevin rose from the palm of Dawn, now his core was five times the size of what it was before.

' Your friend thinks I am from Demon tower, I don't even know what the Demon tower is.'

' It's a place where demonic creatures live, I didn't tell you because it didn't cross my mind. There was someone infamous in that seventh tower who can do things that you can.'

' Anyway, Stop your friend. If he kills me, you die as well.'

' He is strong, he has implanted the salamander king crystal within himself. I will have to take out that crystal to win, Just shoot him near his heart but not the heart when I give you the opening.'

Lock's sword was covered in flames, even if one of his legs and one of his hands were just prosthetics. He was still moving fast enough to fight.

Kevin flew at a great speed with purple flames covering his bigger core. He looked more terrifying, one could spot two light purple dots and a devilish smile among the flames. He distracted him meanwhile Dawn was condensing his energy on one of his fingers.

' Damn it, he is not letting his guard down. Try harder!' Dawn sends a message in a loud voice.
