The Vanderbilt's family are way wealthier and prominent than the knight's family which Rosalind want's her daughter Maya to marry into.

Through the phone call Mr Shawn already knew where Logan is at. He arrived the hospital with not less than 12 rolls Royce phantom latest model as escorts.

Onlookers were thinking it was the president of the country that has come to visit, but they were shocked when the saw Shawn come out of the executive car.

"He should be very rich to afford this type of luxury" the onlookers suggested.

Shawn stride to the medical ward where Logan and his Juliana were. As he saw Logan he bowed slightly. "Young master, it nice to meet you once again, here is the gift from my master."

He handed Logan a black card, the inscription on it reads Nexus X was written in bold. He also handed him an envelope containing a contract making him the president of the Nexus X, located in Gateway City where he is currently living in.

In just few seconds Logan has become the president of Nexus X. The estimated net worth of this group is about 10 trillions of dollars the biggest and wealthiest of all company groups in the city.

The Vanderbilt family's wealth is can not be estimated, they may worth more than hundreds of trillions of dollars.

Few seconds later Logan's phone beeped, and he immediately checked it, he saw a credit alert of a hundred million dollars. Soon after his phone beeped the second time, it was a text message which reads:

'Thank you for accepting my offer, the hundred million is for miscellaneous' (pocket money) this amount is more than enough to carry out the surgery for Juliana his foster mother.

Few seconds later Logan went to the hospital cashier's office and paid the full bill of 9000 dollars.the cashier. After the payment he requested that the cashier let the doctor incharge of her mother know that the bill has been paid and that they should commence treatment immediately.

As soon as the surgery team were informed they took Juliana to the surgical room and began the process.

"Mr Shawn, thank you so much for coming." Logan said in appreciation to Shawn as he walked back from the surgical room to the waiting room.

"You don't have to thank me Logan, it's all because of my master that I am here." Shawn replied.

As Shawn said that Logan's face frowned, he was wishing that Shawn never mentioned his father ever again to him but it was impossible, Shawn has been serving his father even before he was given birth to.

"Ehmm, I think it's time you get going Mr Shawn." Logan suggested, he was beginning to feel uncomfortable with Shawn sitting beside him and his escorts standing all over the place bringing attention to him.

"Alright then, if you need anything, you know what to do." Shawn stood and left but it was 3 out of 12 that followed him.

Logan was taken aback. "Aren't you guys going with your boss?" Logan asked with confusion on his face.

None of them dare answered him. Logan was upset right away, he rushed outside and find Shawn and his convey about to drive out but he hastily waved them down.

Shawn came out of the car and stride to him. "Is there any problem, young master?"

"Yes there is a big problem." Logan replied. With the look on his face one could tell he was deeply offended.

"What happened young master?"

"Don't pretend you don't know what's wrong, why are those weird looking men not leaving with you? I never said I needed a body guard. Please order them to follow you right away."

"I am sorry Young master if that offended you, the boss order they stayed back and work for you."

"I don't need nobody to protect me I can protect myself."

"Alright young master." Shawn signaled those men who were still standing inside, they immediately came out and joined the convey.

Logan stride back to the waiting room, and soon he dozed off. It's been a long day, Logan hasn't gotten much sleep for many days now. While he was deeply asleep his phone began ringing, but he was tired and fast asleep, he had no idea his phone was ringing.

The caller was no other than Maya, she was calling to know how things were going, and also to know if the money she sent was helpful, but unfortunately Logan wasn't answering the call.

Maya hasn't had time all day because the work load was too much for her, she went into the rest room to make the call so that no want would know who she was calling.

After several minutes of trying she finally gave up, and immediately as she came out of the rest room she bumped into her grandmother.

"Good evening grandma." Maya greeted.

"You are unto that foolish husband of yours, when will you stop disgracing this family, Maya!?" Mrs Fairfax said instead of responding to Maya's greeting.

The surgery took about 7 hours to be completed, the surgeon in charge said that the surgery was one of the most difficult surgery he has done. The reason being that Rosalind was very weak.

The surgery went to meet Logan to let him know that the surgery has be done and it was successful, when he got there Logan was still asleep, but he woke him anyway since it wasn't a bad news. The surgeon broke the news to him.

"Mrs Logan, you must be very tired." The surgeon noticed.

"Yes, how was it doctor?" Logan inquired. He was nervous though. What he wanted to here was that the surgery went well.

"I can see the nervousness on your face. The surgery was successful." The surgeon announced.

The fear that was written on Logan face immediately disappeared as soon as he heard the doctors announcement.

Logan couldn't contain his excitement that he almost hugged the surgeon. He brought out his phone from his pocket just to find out that Maya has been trying to reach him.
