Right away he dialled Maya's number, and before it could ring she already answered.

"Hello, Logan! what's going on? I have been trying to reach you all day." Maya said nervously.

"Nothing much, I am sorry, I was fast asleep when your call entered."

"No problems, how is Juliana?" Maya inquired.

"The surgery has be done and it was successful." Logan announced at the sound of his voice one could know that he is really happy.

"Really!! That's great news Logan." Maya screamed,

"I know right?!"

Rosalind heard Maya's voice and rushed to her room. "What is it Maya! what's it about the scream."

"Hey! I will call you back dear." With that said, Logan understood and ended the call.

"Nothing, mum. I am just excited." The Conner of her lips twitched into a sly smile as she replied her mother.

"And what could be making you excited? Rosalind inquired."

"Uhmm! Juliana's surgery had been carried out and it was successful." Maya answered excitedly.

Rosalind's was shocked at the news, a hint of disdain flashed across her eyes, and she fell into silence as she thought to herself."how possible was this? who lend him money?"

"Mom, are you okay?" Maya asked interrupting her thoughts.

"Yes I am. Why?" Rosalind replied.

"Oh! Nevermind." Maya said as she didn't want to create a problem.

Rosalind then left to her own room, her eyes was still filled with disdain. Rosalind plan of forcing Logan into divorcing Maya has been aborted and it really makes her very angry.

Rosalind wanted so badly for maya marry into the knight's family, this will earn her respect from the members of her family, including grandmother Fairfax. It will really be an honour.

As soon as Rosalind left, Maya picked up her phone and dialled, Logan's number, and not too long he answered the phone.

"Hello! dear." Logan said quietly, he was with Juliana.

"Hey, how is everything going over there and why is your voice low, is anything the matter?" Maya inquired.

"Everything is okay, I am with my mom and the doctor advised that there shouldn't be noise, but am out of the room now." Logan replied.

"Alright then, I wanted to know how your mum is fairing."

"That's sweet of you, she is doing okay. Less I forget, I will drop bye tomorrow to see you."

"Okay that would be nice." Maya replied.

"Have a nice sleep." Said Logan

"You too, bye."

11:30 am

At Cordial Enterprises Inc building, Maya heard a commotion outside and when she looked out she saw Logan being carried away buy to security guards. And Olivia, Maya's cousin was the one who asked the security guards to take him out of the company premises.

As soon as she saw that, she immediately ran down the stairs. "What's going on here? And why are you taking my husband away like that!? live him alone this instance." Initially she did not see Olivia standing there.

"Yes, I ordered them to kick him out, he shouldn't also bring his bad locks to the company as well. "Olivia said drawing Maya's attention to herself.

"Oh! I see!! I should have known that you are behind it." Maya then walked to the body guard and staring on them murderously she order them to leave Logan alone. And they quickly let him go.

"Don't you ever try this again!!" Maya screamed at the bodyguards.

As Olivia watched Maya's rage, she radiated a devilish smile and walked away.

Maya shifted her gaze to Logan who was still busy wiping his clothe. She knitted her brow into a frown as she saw how messy Logan was.

"You should have at least called me before coming, you know how my family are, you would have avoided this, you know?"

"I am sorry, I wanted to surprise you." Logan replied.

"Oh yes, how surprise I am." Maya said sarcastically.

"I said am sorry. Here." Stretching his hand he was handing Maya the bag of money she gave him earlier for Juliana's hospital bill.

"What are you doing, is this not the money I gave you earlier? Why are you giving it back?" Maya asked, her face didn't look happy at all.

"I don't mean to offend you darling, using this money seems to me like sucking your blood, You have done so much for me. And I do appreciate all your help." Logan explained, he hated it when Maya gets angry.

She narrowed her eyes upon hearing him. "How then did you get the money for your mother's surgery?" Maya asked.

Logan slightly hung his hand on Maya's shoulder "I love you so much baby!"

All the while, Mrs Fairfax and Rosalind, where together on the third floor of the building staring in disdain at the two love birds.

"How could my own grand daughter stup so low to let that idiot of a husband touch her, how disgusting." Mrs Fairfax let out, her voice was filled with disdain and anger.

In agreement with her, Rosalind shook her head in disbelief and muttered "I am so disappointed with Maya, how could she."

Maya was tickled on hearing Logan, she ripped his hand off her shoulder and afterwards she tossed her hair over her shoulder out of habit, revealing her gorgeous flirtatious face.

Logan's eyes widened, he has never seen his wife this gorgeous for a long time. He smiled. Logan couldn't wait to give Maya everything she want. Her flirtatious face made him love her even more.

There was some seconds of silence as they stride out of the gate, Maya couldn't afford witnessing another humiliation from her family, as they are very good at that.

"I will do everything possible to always make you happy, not just that, I want to give you a luxurious life you deserve." Logan continued, breaking the silence.

"Enough of that Logan, I do know that you wants the best for me, but let's be real. How did you get the money for the hospital bill?" Maya said. Logan was sounding too good to be true. He didn't even have a proper job, so how could he possibly carry out all this promises.
