With the assistance of the new branch, Alec was able to relocate some of the demonic beast corpses closer to the Mana pond.

He closed his eyes and tried visualizing the pond absorbing the carcasses, causing him to witness the emergence of tentacles made of luminous light elements.

These tentacles stretched out from the sides of the pond, piercing into the bodies of the dead beasts and extracting their essence.

Within minutes, Alec observed over two hundred Tier 3 demonic beast corpses being drained until they turned to dust.

Lifting his head, Alec noticed a small bar flickering like it was about to go off and it was almost halfway filled.

He interpreted this as a measure of the pond’s progress towards the next level.

Intrigued, he instructed the free branch to bring another set of roughly three hundred corpses near the Mana pond.

Alec was keen to see how much the pond could devour before ascending to the next level.

The free branch obediently moved back towards its roots whe

  • Battle Mage Academy Duo Part 1

While Lucius was still trying to figure out how he’d been outplayed and caught off guard, he finally noticed the kunai stuck in the ground a few feet away from him lighting up. That was when he realized there were runic spell engravings etched along its handle.Being a sharp mage, he quickly put two and two together and understood how Vincent Whitefang, who is known for his low elemental affinity, had managed to cast a spell from such a distance. The kunai was one of Vincent’s spirit weapons, and he had inscribed spell runes along its handle in tiny lines. So when he cast the Wind Slam spell, even though Vincent himself wasn’t close enough, the kunai was, and it acted as a substitute for him to bypass his affinity penalty. For someone like Vincent, whose weakness was low elemental affinity, he had trained in other areas: like reducing the casting time of his wind spells and mastering wind rune manifestation which had become some of his greatest strengths only he couldn't show them u

  • Foreign Battle Styles 2.

“Igor, I’m really sorry about this, but we’re about to put you on a stressful task despite your condition, can you handle it?” Vladimir said to Igor, who had fallen slightly behind them in the lineup; as only Vincent stood on Vladimir’s opposite side, level with him.Meanwhile, Igor, who had been asked if he could take on a task he didn’t yet know of, nodded fiercely, showing his resolve to follow through with the task that would be given to him irrespective of what it was.“Good,” Vladimir said, turning back toward the four Arcanis Dominion mages who looked ready to dash at them at any moment.“Two against one, I see the odds are stacked against us, but I believe it’s time we stop being complacent and get serious. Am I wrong?” Vincent finally spoke, for the first time since stepping onto the stage.“Yeah, it’s been fun blocking all this while, if we don’t make a move now, we’ll end up losing, and that’d be bad for the face of the Northern Kingdom academies. Let’s act serious, at lea

  • Foreign Battle Styles.

While all this was happening in a faraway city in the northern kingdom, Alec decided it was time to return to his team, as he’d realized the Battle Mage Academy was up against the Arcanis Dominion Academy currently.Four academies from the Northern Kingdom had already lost and been disqualified in the opening bouts, but Alec wasn’t worried about the Battle Mage Academy. Because he didn’t believe the Arcanis Dominion Academy could topple the Battle Mage Academy.Strong as Arcanis was, to him it didn’t change the fact that, unlike most Northern academies, the Battle Mage Academy excelled both individually and as a unit. They practically lived for team battles, and in the last tournament, their overall team battle power had ranked just below the Bloodline Academy. And also next on the schedule to battle was the War God Mage Academy versus the Ashmaw Academy, and Alec intended to be there no matter how uneasy he was feeling at the moment. As he stepped out from the corridor into the sta

  • War Of The Estonia City.

From where Alec stood with his eyes closed, he could hear the cheers of the crowd growing louder and louder as the battle between both academies got to a peak point. He could tell that both the Holy Grail Academy and the Solarium Sanctum team had matched up and it would take a sideline for any of the team to win, and the battle had gone on for a while.Eventually, only one name rose above the other after a few minutes passed, and it made Alec sighed as “Solarium Sanctum” was chanted and roared by all.He couldn’t help it, it was another loss for the northern kingdom academies, another slap to the kingdom’s face. Normally, he would have worried more about them, but the uneasy feeling gnawing at him wouldn’t let up.It was getting worse with time, he’d never felt this way before, something like homesickness. Making him wish he could be done with the tournament and return to Estonia City as soon as possible; as something there was calling to him.–Estonia CityAbove the Gordons Clan h

  • Predictions.

The Northern citizens watching from the four gate axis and the high executives of the Northern kingdom watching in the arena could hardly believe their eyes. The match had just begun, and it wasn’t looking like the Vajra Academy team had more to offer; neither did it seem they could mount any real resistance again.“Get them!” Raizo said, as he was still on a mission to beat the three-minute time frame the School of Silent Night had used to achieve victory, at his command, his team closed in on the Vajra mages, while Daigo shifted to block both Omar and Yama as they tried to engage others.“Come on now, your opponent is me, let’s have some fun,” Daigo said, shocking the crowd that a mage who is not even introduced with an official position in the Crimson Dawn team would block both a captain and a vice-captain of another team together. His actions reeked of arrogance, but given what he’d shown so far, they couldn’t write him off, after all he’d proven himself capable; they just couldn’

  • Bloodsteel Overture.

“Begin,” the judge called for the start of the match after both teams had settled into position, immediately the mages of Vajra Academy dashed toward the Crimson Dawn Academy team, their realm pressure surging forward, as they aimed to seize momentum. However, when that pressure reached Raizo who was at the forefront Crimson Dawn Academy line up, he felt slightly disgusted, because the pressure had been so weak that he barely felt a thing.“Let’s end this in under three minutes. I don’t want that Takeda gaining more momentum than me in this tournament, the mages of the Northern Kingdoms are really as weak as suggested,” Raizo said. In the next instant, twin knives with broad blades manifested in his hands, as he took the lead, by bending slightly as his leg muscles bunched from the compression he was placing on them, and the next moment he was already leaping into the midst of the Vajra Academy mages after an explosive takeoff. It happened so fast that he arrived before the sound of
