The War God Academy team was walking down the tunnel entrance they had emerged from.

When the arena’s cover was lifted, the rest of the eliminated team members were teleported back without any external injuries on them. .

The moment Alec saw this, he didn’t pause to wave at his fans or engage with the red-haired referee who wanted to speak with him.

Instead, he started walking toward the tunnel entrance with determination.

His goal was to return back to his quarters as quickly as possible, and as captain, the rest of the team followed closely behind him.

But that didn’t stop the fans from chanting his name, though. The fervent supporters he had gathered were even more animated after witnessing another masterful display from Alec.

To them, he was now seen as unbeatable, a sentiment that didn’t sit well with some fans from the Great Eight Academies who were reluctant to acknowledge Alec’s prowess.

As Alec and his team walked through the tunnel, he noticed a shared space to their le

Everyone present turned to see who had emerged from the tunnel entrance.“I apologize for the rash behaviour of my academy’s captain,” said a voice. “Without further ado, we will excuse ourselves now.” When they looked closely, they saw the entire Bloodline Academy team, and the one restraining Dragov was the co-ordinator of the Bloodline Academy team. The War God Academy team returned to their living quarters, gathering in the main room that connected all their rooms. They exchanged glances before bursting into laughter.“How did we get to this point? I have to admit, when we set off for the capital, I never expected to make it to the finals of the inter-academy competition, my only desire had been to get a little spotlight on me, enough to catch the attention of some elders from my clan,” Pale remarked.“But now, I’m pretty sure almost every elder in the Zero Clan knows my name,” he continued, prompting more laughter from his teammates.“I’m so proud of you all! Alec, what’s with that face? You look like you’d rather be anywhere else than celebrating with us,” Selene said, standing as she curiously observed his demeanor.“Sorry about that. I’m just a bit sleep-deprived. I really would like to skip the celebration activities, if you all don’t mind,” Alec replied, turning to the rest of the team and giving them a pleading smile.Bef

“Finally! I’ve waited so long for this!” the system spirit exclaimed, rubbing its bubbling hands before Alec, which he found both cute and amusing. If the spirit knew what Alec was thinking, it would probably wish for the ground to open up and swallow it whole. Throughout their time together, Alec had realized that the system spirit wanted to be feared; or seen as a respected safe, there was no way it would ever want to be seen as a cute entity.“So, what’s left on my list? I’ve been grinding for materials needed to create a new armor set. If you remember, it’s this same grinding that’s keeping me from going to the region where the Golden Horn Drakes reside,”“Just because of the grudges that Tier 6 Drake has against me, there are a lot of strong demonic beasts there, and they’re solitary Demonic beasts” Alec complained, turning to the system spirit.“Hmph! So what if you can’t go to that part of the forest right now? It’s just a little lizard Drake. If you weren’t still in the Tier

Among them was his own child, now poised for promotion to City Commander, having ascended to the rank of a High Rank Mage. The resources the City Lord had secured from giving the patriarch of the Fridall clan to the Ancient Blaze Clan instead of the Royal Palace had not only helped promote the realm of the mages in the newly forged alliances against the Gordons clan but also elevated his son to the high ranks.Despite his efforts to support the other two City Guardians, only one had reached the high rank realm and was also due for promotion to City Commander. This mage, named Marcus, was often referred to as Sir Marcus and had consistently followed Alistair, the City Lord's son. Alec shuffled through the forest, determined to reach the source of the noise, he had sent his golems out to scout the area, and they returned with a list of demonic beasts nearby. After careful consideration, he decided to hunt five Peak Tier 5 demonic beasts. So far, his strategy of letting his golems take the lead had proven effective; as they had successfully hunted three of those beasts without any issues. The only challenge now lay with the final two, a duo that worked well together, a Golden Armored Rhino and a Jungle King Boar. Alec carefully navigated the forest, wanting to observe how the battle would unfold. He had spread out some of his golems to either scout ahead or secure the perimeter to make sure no other beast breached in, and he is confident they would meet up with him shortly, as he had sent them all a mental transmission to return. The golems currently facing the two Peak Tier 5 beasts were Titan, Legion, Hunter, and Tempest Butcher. Though the Rhino was angry and aimed to pursue him, but it redirected its target to Legion, who was still advancing toward it.From his elevated position, Alec observed the Rhino causing a stampede as it charged closer. Just as it was about to slam Legion into the air, the hook that had hooked his horn finally tugged. Almost instantly, as Legion eliminated the Rhino demonic beast, Alec heard the system notification and assumed it must have been triggered by Legion’s action. However, he soon felt a cold chill creeping over him, which caused him to look down at the tree he was perched on; and he noticed that the ground beneath it was lightly covered in frost.“No way, this can’t still be about Legion,” Alec muttered as he turned his gaze toward the second battlefield, which they had all overlooked while watching Legion. While doing this, Alec pulled up his system notifications to check what had prompted the alert.[> Titan’s Ice Manipulation has finally completed its evolution.] [> Ice Manipulation has now changed to Ice Manipulation I.] [> The first stage of Ice Manipulation ability will soon be awakened.] [> Pay 250,000 system points for the first stage awakening (Y/N)?] Seeing this option left Alec quite perplexed, but he didn’t hesitate to select “Y” for yes. Why are you allowing a golem to undergo a breakthrough inside the Beast Forest?” the system spirit demanded.“How was I supposed to know my golem would level up so soon?” Alec shot back, spreading his hands wide in frustration.“You’re in big trouble,” the system spirit replied, dramatically slapping its golem head with a hand, making Alec scrunch up his face at the gesture.“Can you just explain what the real problem is?” Alec shouted at the system spirit, who trembled at Alec’s outburst.“Let me make it simple for you, normally, if Titan were having a regular breakthrough, it wouldn’t cause much of a reaction. # War God Mage Academy The atmosphere at the War God Mage Academy was somber, despite their academy team’s victorious return, the events at the Grand Royal Arena had cast a heavy shadow over what should have been a time of celebration for the whole academy. What truly broke the spirits of the academy’s executive members, however, was the Northern Kingdom king’s final decision to withdraw all support for the academy, the normal shares they usually receives before has been cancelled, the new Dean interpreted this as a blatant show of power, an attempt to subjugate the War God Mage Academy and keep it in check so they don’t go out of line. In response to this injustice, a long silent voice emerged, the retired old Dean, who had been in self imposed seclusion for years, sent an urgent message to the academy’s top instructors, in fact to call it a message would be an understatement, it was more of an order. The old Dean had demanded that all senior students with no link to any cla

It had been a week since the blood moon battle, yet the Northern Kingdom’s capital city still buzzed with talk of the events that had unfolded at the Grand Royal Arena. Despite the king’s decree forbidding any discussion of the matter, and despite the crowning of the Bloodline Academy as the winners of the inter-academy competition, the truth could not be buried, as too many witnesses had seen what transpired. The entire kingdom had watched as their king used his authority to strip the War God Mage Academy of their rightful victory. The move ensured that the Great Eight academies remained unchanged, or in simpler terms he made sure the Royal Mage Academy which is under the Royal Family’s direct control, remained one of the primary beneficiaries of the kingdom’s resources for academies. Meanwhile, the War God Mage Academy that was dragged to the finals by Alec’s miraculous efforts, was discarded, its former glory overshadowed by its inability to contend with the kingdom’s polit

The crowd understood the truth of Alec’s situation: there had been no investigation. The king had renounced the War God Mage Academy’s achievements in a single, unchallenged decree, using Alec’s actions as a convenient excuse. But now, with Alec’s bold justification and reference to the law, the tables had turned, he had exposed the lack of due process, indirectly calling out the incompetence of those responsible for investigating the incident, and by extension, the king himself. Though Alec had not openly insulted the king, but his words were an indirect slap to the monarch’s authority, forcing him into a corner before the eyes of thousands. “Don’t push your luck, boy!” the Golden Armoured Knight growled, releasing a suffocating wave of aura toward Alec, as Alec’s word indirect meaning was picked up by many. But before the oppressive energy could reach him, it was effortlessly blocked by the Dean of the War God Mage Academy, who stepped in front of Alec with a calm yet dang

Things had turned out far better than he had anticipated, though the outcome was vastly different from what he initially planned, the escalation of events was beyond his imagination, but he enjoyed every second of it because it ultimately worked in his favour. Initially, Liam’s sole intention in reporting Alec was to see him punished, a brief stint in the royal jail or being forced to destroy the golem that had caused the fatality would have sufficed. He just wanted Alec humiliated, subjected to ridicule for a while, but never in his wildest dreams had he thought the king would take the matter so far, penalizing Alec’s entire team also and stripping the War God Mage Academy of their championship title and right to have their names recorded as winners. While this level of severity wasn’t what Liam had aimed for, he still found himself relishing the outcome, t

As Alec observed the preparations, the weight of the lives lost because of the king’s decision to place the final battle above a space gate filled him with disgust, unable to stomach the scene any longer, he turned and made his way to the changing room to replace his tattered academy uniform, as he had already unsummoned his spirit equipment set which left him with what was left of his tattered Uniform. A bizarre and unexpected scene unfolded before the eyes of the High rank mages and above that were watching the battle, and even the once entertained demon monarch Azgoth, now found no joy in watching the ongoing battle. All this was due to the fact that an ordinary Tier 5 mage, who is not even at the pinnacle of the realm allowed to fight, was wreaking havoc, under the Blood Moon rule invoked by Azgoth himself. To Azgoth this mage was allowed to fight just to entertain him and yet, instead of being fodder for the demons, he was chasing down Tier 6 Demonkins with relentless determination. Azgoth’s amusement had soured, as this wasn’t how it was supposed to go, the limited army he had brought was due to being restricted by the lack of unanimous support from the other demon monarchs, but now he was failing to deliver the chaos he’d envisioned. His plan relied on unleashing a group of Mid Tier elite Demonkins, who would wreak havoc while the High and Monarch Tier mages would be r

Alec had likely already decided to use his hard earned low Tier 6 random spell cards to shift the battle’s momentum if needed, he knew that even the low Tier 6 demonic beasts from the Beast Forest had battle prowess nearing the Tier 7 realm. With such a trump card in his hand, he believed he could turn the tide, mitigate the human mages numerical disadvantage, and bring the battle to a swift end, as a prolonged battle wasn’t ideal for them, especially since there was no guarantee reinforcements would arrive anytime soon. Alec had already sensed intense mana activity in the north, south, east, and west of the capital, and he recalled from his previous visit to the capital, that they had been defending against four high space gates simultaneously. Which confirmed that the entire Northern Kingdom’s capital was under siege from the four corners against if the Royal palace wasn’t counted.
