As the undead army retreated and Alec’s teammates moved back, a clear space opened up for him and Dorian to engage in their battle.

As Dorian’s long sword lunged toward Alec with such speed that the crowd gasped, seeing him aim for a vital spot on his very first move.

Just when the tip was mere inches from its target, Alec raised his hands and slightly drew his Changdao from its scabbard, just enough to defend against the attack but not fully unsheathe his weapon.

Bang!

A small shockwave erupted as Alec defended against the thrust, but he was sent skidding backward about ten steps before managing to stabilize himself skillfully.

“Don’t even think of underestimating me; that could lead to your downfall. I didn’t become captain of one of the Great Eight Academies for nothing,” Dorian declared as he kicked off the ground, showcasing an impressive foot technique as he advanced on Alec.

With his head bowed, Alec made it difficult for the audience to see his expression, but he paid

For the first time in a long while, the War God Academy arena was packed to the brim. Even some of the newly enrolled students, who started alongside Alec and the others in the team, were taken aback by the sheer number of spectators that had turned up. They had not expected so many of their seniors to come out and support the academy’s first-year team, they didn’t even know they had that much seniors in the first place, As many of them are just seeing some faces for the first time. This was something even the new Dean, all the way in the capital, was unaware of and hadn’t anticipated. Alec fixed his gaze on Dorian, who was now floating before him, radiating a Tier 6 aura. A deep frown etched across his face; Dorian had clearly undergone a significant transformation after casting the Undead Overlord spell. In fact, discussions were erupting not just among the regular audience but also within the VIP section. The Undead Overlord spell was a High Tier spell that only mages who had reached high rank realm could cast. But yet, it seemed the spell had been modified by an expert close to Dorian, the expert had clearly modified the spell with preference of Dorian creating some type of lower version of the spell, so it was at a level where it would be possible for Dorian to cast it as long as he had enough Mana. However, one nagging detail tugged at the back of Alec’s mind.He was certain that all these necromancy spells required immense amounts of mana to activate. The previous spell that summoned the undead army had nearly drained Dorian to the point of exhausti

Feeling the intensity of Dorian's gaze, she felt a wave of dread wash over her and quickly decided to cast a defensive spell as Mana threads swirled around him, Both her wooden spider puppet and even the crocodile moved in front of her instinctively in an aim to shield her. However, her efforts appeared to be mere child's play in Dorian's eyes. He thrust his left hand forward, and despite the distance between them, he surprised the audience by launching a punch that unleashed a long dark chain materializing from his hand, and flying directly toward Beatrice. Despite Alec facing a significant disadvantage, his supporters didn’t relent in supporting him, they kept chanting his name in unison, holding on to hope that he could turn the tide. The distance between Alec and Dorian closed with each passing second. ‘I can now slightly match his speed with the Red Salamander set this is an improvement,’ Alec thought, but his confidence wavered as he noticed Dorian moving even faster when he came closerBang! “Fuck!” Alec cursed, as he staggered backward after being struck in the face by the hilt of Dorian’s long sword. Dorian had wasted no time when he was in such close distance, he capitalised on his chance by raising his sword high with both hands and jabbing it toward Alec's face.Though the attack caught him off guard, but Alec quickly regained his composure, by tilting his body to the side when he felt his danger senses tingling. “Hmmm, that battle technique the War God Academy team captain just employed... I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it before, is this some new skill?” a spectator in the VIP second section mused, eager to pry answers from the War God Academy’s Dean seated few seats ahead of him. However, the Dean was just as clueless as everyone else seated there, so he only offered a smirk and played the part of the enigmatic sage, though inside, he tried not to be surprised by Alec again but he still couldn’t help but wonder how Alec had managed to display such a martial skill, one that neither he nor the other academy Deans had ever encountered. Which was weird as they were all old monsters that have come across thousands of spells and battle skills. In fact, at the moment he had begun to attribute any unique thing Alec did to the Gordon clan.As for the other Deans, who had been eagerly awaiting a reply, they soon realized that the War God Academy Dean would not divulge any insights into

The audience was perplexed when they saw Alec relax his guard, almost as if he had given up any chance to defend himself.Alec sighed after realizing what Dorian’s final move was all about. He whipped his hand toward his Blood Changdao, which had been thrown aside during the heat of battle. As a flaming whip materialized from his hand towards the weapon, it coiled around the hilt of the weapon, and with a gentle tug from Alec, the whip retracted, bringing the weapon back to his hand.“Here I was thinking I could coast through this round without showing some cards, but you’ve lived up to your reputation as one of the Great Eight Academy captains,” Alec said, his tone grim. “You’ve pushed me to the edge. I know I can’t match you in spells and mana, but if my guess is right, you’re running low on mana after casting spells beyond your rank ““I initially thought the mana you absorbed from your undead army might have sustained you, but we both know you didn’t have enough time to refin

“Alec!!!” Alec’s name echoed throughout the Royal arena, and in that moment, even some fans from Onyx Academy and the other Great Eight schools couldn't help but stand and clap. They watched as Alec surveyed the crowd, and no matter how much they might want to deny it, they couldn’t anymore, Alec Gordons had single-handedly carried his team to the finals of the inter-academy competition. For years, the Battle Mage Academy, Royal Academy, Holy Grail Academy, Onyx Academy, Gate Academy, Wizards and Witches Academy, Bloodline Academy, and Vajra Academy had dominated the inter-academy scene. Over the years, the winners of the competition had consistently come from these eight institutions, and with the other High and Ancient Tier clans aligning themselves and choosing one of these academies, it only made them nearly untouchable. These were the places where the most talented mages aspired to study, while those deemed low-ranked or unreliable were relegated to the ordinary academies, as

“All you have to do is step up to the obelisk and give it your best shot,” Instructor Duran began, his voice echoing across the venue. “You’ll have three chances to strike the stone pillar, and your highest score will be the one that counts.” He paused briefly before continuing, “For regular students, reaching the peak of the third bar is enough to be put up for auction, Instructors will then compete to take you in as their direct disciple. If more than one instructor is interested in you, you’ll have the privilege of choosing the one you feel is most compatible for you.” Alec listened to Duran’s words, noting the subtle undertones, he knew what wasn’t being said outright: choosing between instructors often came with consequences. Rejecting an instructor, especially one less powerful than your chosen mentor, almost always led to animosity, the only time an instructor would swallow their pride was if the student chose someone like a Great instructor or someone undeniably superio

All the second-year students were also present, drawn by the rumours and speculations surrounding the new first-year class, ever since the new batch arrived, whispers had circulated that some of the first-years were stronger than their seniors. Instructors even frequently used the first-years as examples during lectures for them, which had bruised the egos of a few second-years who couldn’t accept the idea of being surpassed by their juniors. This growing rivalry meant most of the second-years came to observe the tests, eager to see if the rumours were true. The exams functioned as a grading system, any first-year mage who surpassed the hallmark set by the first two tests would be allowed to advance to second-year classes ahead of schedule. While those who failed would have to wait until the next academic year to move up, it was also an opportunity to identify the strongest mages within the first-year class. -After about thirty minutes, the venue was fully occupied, the fir

    # War God Mage Academy The atmosphere at the War God Mage Academy was somber, despite their academy team’s victorious return, the events at the Grand Royal Arena had cast a heavy shadow over what should have been a time of celebration for the whole academy. What truly broke the spirits of the academy’s executive members, however, was the Northern Kingdom king’s final decision to withdraw all support for the academy, the normal shares they usually receives before has been cancelled, the new Dean interpreted this as a blatant show of power, an attempt to subjugate the War God Mage Academy and keep it in check so they don’t go out of line. In response to this injustice, a long silent voice emerged, the retired old Dean, who had been in self imposed seclusion for years, sent an urgent message to the academy’s top instructors, in fact to call it a message would be an understatement, it was more of an order. The old Dean had demanded that all senior students with no link to any cla

It had been a week since the blood moon battle, yet the Northern Kingdom’s capital city still buzzed with talk of the events that had unfolded at the Grand Royal Arena. Despite the king’s decree forbidding any discussion of the matter, and despite the crowning of the Bloodline Academy as the winners of the inter-academy competition, the truth could not be buried, as too many witnesses had seen what transpired. The entire kingdom had watched as their king used his authority to strip the War God Mage Academy of their rightful victory. The move ensured that the Great Eight academies remained unchanged, or in simpler terms he made sure the Royal Mage Academy which is under the Royal Family’s direct control, remained one of the primary beneficiaries of the kingdom’s resources for academies. Meanwhile, the War God Mage Academy that was dragged to the finals by Alec’s miraculous efforts, was discarded, its former glory overshadowed by its inability to contend with the kingdom’s polit

The crowd understood the truth of Alec’s situation: there had been no investigation. The king had renounced the War God Mage Academy’s achievements in a single, unchallenged decree, using Alec’s actions as a convenient excuse. But now, with Alec’s bold justification and reference to the law, the tables had turned, he had exposed the lack of due process, indirectly calling out the incompetence of those responsible for investigating the incident, and by extension, the king himself. Though Alec had not openly insulted the king, but his words were an indirect slap to the monarch’s authority, forcing him into a corner before the eyes of thousands. “Don’t push your luck, boy!” the Golden Armoured Knight growled, releasing a suffocating wave of aura toward Alec, as Alec’s word indirect meaning was picked up by many. But before the oppressive energy could reach him, it was effortlessly blocked by the Dean of the War God Mage Academy, who stepped in front of Alec with a calm yet dang

Liam stood beside the king and the golden armoured knight, suppressing a smirk that threatened to spill across his face. Things had turned out far better than he had anticipated, though the outcome was vastly different from what he initially planned, the escalation of events was beyond his imagination, but he enjoyed every second of it because it ultimately worked in his favour. Initially, Liam’s sole intention in reporting Alec was to see him punished, a brief stint in the royal jail or being forced to destroy the golem that had caused the fatality would have sufficed. He just wanted Alec humiliated, subjected to ridicule for a while, but never in his wildest dreams had he thought the king would take the matter so far, penalizing Alec’s entire team also and stripping the War God Mage Academy of their championship title and right to have their names recorded as winners. While this level of severity wasn’t what Liam had aimed for, he still found himself relishing the outcome, t

As Alec observed the preparations, the weight of the lives lost because of the king’s decision to place the final battle above a space gate filled him with disgust, unable to stomach the scene any longer, he turned and made his way to the changing room to replace his tattered academy uniform, as he had already unsummoned his spirit equipment set which left him with what was left of his tattered Uniform. While the royal mages worked, the audience remained seated, fearful of even leaving the venue due to the king’s presence, no one wanted to annoy him in the slightest, as trouble was quietly brewing elsew

    Inter Academy Arc Ending 1.

A bizarre and unexpected scene unfolded before the eyes of the High rank mages and above that were watching the battle, and even the once entertained demon monarch Azgoth, now found no joy in watching the ongoing battle. All this was due to the fact that an ordinary Tier 5 mage, who is not even at the pinnacle of the realm allowed to fight, was wreaking havoc, under the Blood Moon rule invoked by Azgoth himself. To Azgoth this mage was allowed to fight just to entertain him and yet, instead of being fodder for the demons, he was chasing down Tier 6 Demonkins with relentless determination. Azgoth’s amusement had soured, as this wasn’t how it was supposed to go, the limited army he had brought was due to being restricted by the lack of unanimous support from the other demon monarchs, but now he was failing to deliver the chaos he’d envisioned. His plan relied on unleashing a group of Mid Tier elite Demonkins, who would wreak havoc while the High and Monarch Tier mages would be r
