Samantha's hanging answer made Harvey squint. There was something behind those words-doubt, or perhaps fear that still lingered in her mind. Harvey didn't press her further, just observed her expression calmly.

He let out a long breath, letting the silence settle in for a moment. "Be careful next time."

His tone remained even, but there was an implied warning in it. Samantha looked at him, as if she wanted to say something, but ended up just nodding slowly. The relief of being safe from danger was mixed with the anxiety that still left traces on her face.

"I take my leave, Miss Samantha Claymore," Harvey said with a slight bow of his head. The gesture was simple, but it still exuded authority. Without waiting for a reply, he turns around, his steps steady as he leaves the restaurant. The business is done-the perpetrator has been caught, and Samantha is safe.

However, Samantha does not immediately breathe a sigh of relief. Instead, as Harvey walks away, her chest feels even more tight.

Harvey lifted the perfume bottle, pressing the spray once. The subtle masculine scent spreads through the air, blending in with the silence of the room. The white suit he wore looked perfect on him, contrasting with the black shirt hidden underneath. A black-and-white striped tie hung neatly around his neck, a symbol of his belief-justice always has a firm boundary, like black and white that never mix.He smoothed his sleeves, his fingers gliding slowly along the fabric. His calm movements showed the habits of someone who was always prepared for the unexpected.Suddenly, the sound of the door opening broke the silence. "What a party," he muttered softly. The high ceiling was decorated with crystal chandeliers that emitted golden light, making soft shadows dance along the walls. In the corners of the room, foot stands stood in a row, displaying sumptuous dishes with tantalizing aromas. In the center of the hall, a champagne fountain shimmered under the spotlight, golden bubbles rising to the surface before spilling in a graceful stream into sparkling crystal glasses.Classical music flowed softly, permeating the air like a whisper that enveloped the guests' conversations. They stood in small groups, laughing in low tones, raising their glasses in conversations only those familiar with this world could understand.Harvey swept his gaze around, his lips slightly bent to one side. This party was no mere celebration-it was an arena for those accustomed to playing in the shadows of power.A crowd of lavishly dressed guests filled the hall, but Harvey's ke

Stan was silent for a moment. His eyes widened slightly before he quickly regained control of his expression. For a moment, the room was silent for both of them, but within seconds, a mocking smile returned to Stan's face. A small chuckle escaped his lips, light but full of condescension-the signature laugh of someone used to being at the social top. "That's impossible," he said with absolute conviction. He shook his head slowly, as if he was facing something ridiculous. His eyes glanced down, his lips slightly raised, as if he was holding back a laugh. "Really, I don't get it," she continues, before finally looking at Harvey again, this time with a sharper smile. "You have nothing to be ashamed of," he said, his voice sounding like a teacher counseling a lost student. "What you're saying is so far-fetched. There is no way such a thing could be real." His hands dropped from his chest, and with a casual gesture, he slipped one hand into his pants pocket. His frivolous smile beca

"The eight people I hit earlier should have been a warning for you," Harvey said calmly, his voice as flat as the calm water that hid the rushing current underneath. He stood with a straight posture, not a single trace of tension in his body as if the surrounding gunmen were mere shadows.Alvaro smiled casually, like someone who knew he was still in control. • Chapter 151-2

Harvey's steps echoed softly as he entered the empty building. The walls are dull, the paint is peeling, and the smell of dampness lingers like the breath of a decaying past. This place is far from decent, but that's what makes it ideal. There are no cameras, no witnesses. Only space and silence were silent witnesses to what was about to happen.Jordan had chosen this location carefully-and Harvey loved it. A place like this gave him freedom, space to speak... or act.On the other side of the room, a man stood with his arms folded across his chest. Sunglasses covered most of his face, but his sharp jawline and faint wrinkles on his forehead suggested impatience. Despite his age, his body was still well-built, clad in an expensive suit that was too flashy for such a bad place. His face conveyed a stern and dominant disposition. Alvaro Gibson. A man known not only for his business success, but also for the long list of women he'd collected like a personal collection. Four wives, and sti
