Anastasia got up from her seat and walked out of the room straight down to the lobby reception desk and met Renal and Yoke who were waiting there with brown envelopes in hand.
"Miss Anastasia, we finally met," said Renal enthusiastically.
"We will not collaborate with the Kyle Group through you," said Anastasia. Yoke's eyes clearly widened when he heard that, ae dil Rentals.
"But what does that mean?" Renal asked.
"Isn't the commissioner of the Kyle Group Miss Harley Kyle?" asked Anastasia.
"Yes," answered Renal.
"We will only accept it if the cooperation proposal is sent by him," answered Anastasia.
"I can't accept this," said Renal.
"That's your business, sir. I'm just carrying out the tasks that Mr. Wayne gave me," answered Anastasia.
"No! It's impossible for Mr. Wayne to reject my proposal and wait for that useless commissioner. She's just a useless woman. You're stupid if you refuse me to wait for her to come," said Renal.
"Do you think our decision is a stupid decision, Mr Kyle?" asked Anastasia.
"It's not like that, it's just—" Renal stopped talking.
"Excuse me, I'm Harley, commissioner of the Kyle Group," said Harley. Simultaneously, Renal and Yoke turned their heads and found Harley standing with sweat dripping down his forehead.
"What did you do to make my proposal rejected by Wayne Corporation? Grandma even told me to resign, why are you so determined to keep submitting a proposal? Did you sell yourself to get into this company," accused Renal, coming forward and pushing Harley's body almost made the woman fall.
"You're crazy, aren't you?!" Harley screamed.
"You're the one who's crazy. Just because your husband is poor and useless, you're willing to do anything to gain grandma's trust," snapped Renal.
"I didn't do anything, Renal," said Harley.
"Liar," answered Renal. Seeing the commotion that was happening, Anastasia immediately called the building security to come. Two building security officers then forcibly grabbed Renal and Yoke, led them out of the Wayne Corporation and kicked the two people out disrespectfully.
While seeing his cousin being kicked out disrespectfully, Harley in the building still didn't understand the situation. Renal was rejected by Wayne Corporation just to wait for a proposal from him. She remembered what Gerald had said last night and began to suspect that this morning's incident had something to do with her husband.
"Is Gerald related?!" Harley screamed in her heart.
Her poor husband couldn't possibly have anything to do with this morning's incident, but Harley's mind was still disturbed, and her heart was convinced that Gerald was behind all this.
"Really impudent," growled Renal.
"I agree with what you said, Harley will definitely do everything he can to collaborate with the Wayne Corporation to take away Grandma's trust," said Yoke provokingly.
"I have to say this to grandma. She has really tarnished the Kyle family's good name just for the sake of position by giving her body to the head of the Wayne Corporation," said Renal irritably.
Now that Harley is in front of Arnold, the man is impressed by her achievements that the woman in front of him is no less intelligent than Renal. Ana immediately prepares a cooperation contract right this winter.
"Congratulations, Wayne Corporation has agreed to collaborate with the Kyle Group," said Arnold.
Harley's heart almost wanted to fall out on the spot when Ana placed the collaboration contract in front of him. Gerald had proven his potential to be enormous, and Harley was very indebted for that.
"Is it true?" Harley asked nervously.
"Yes Miss, you are extraordinary," said Arnold.
"I wouldn't have been able to do all this without the support of my husband," said Harley.
"Then, you owe a debt of gratitude to your husband, Miss Kyle," answered Arnold.
"Yes, of course I will do it," he said happily.
Harley decided to pay with a romantic dinner at the restaurant where they dated in college. It felt like it had been a long time since I had fun with Gerald.
Gerald apparently waited anxiously in Grandpa Wayne's study and at that time Arnold and Ana came with the cooperation contract that Harley had signed.
"Sir, Miss Harley has signed a cooperation contract," said Arnold.
"Thank you for your help," replied Gerald.
"I didn't expect your wife to have intelligence like Renal," answered Arnold.
"I already expected that, it's just that Harley never believed in himself because of that, he was always bullied and looked down on by his own family," said Gerald.
Gerald briefly remembered that Grandma Kyle always thought Harley was stupid and useless for choosing a man like him as a poor husband, thinking about it, his hands clenched into fists in annoyance. Harley built the Kyle Group when his grandfather was sick and died, at that time he racked his brains so that the company wouldn't go bankrupt in the midst of tense economic problems.
"But why doesn't the young master want to tell his wife that you are the owner of the Wayne Corporation?" Ana asked.
"No. This is not the time for me to have something to take care of first before revealing my new identity to Harley," answered Gerald.
"Yes sir, we both understand," they both said at the same time.
Elsewhere, Harley came to see Kyle's grandmother after the business with Wayne Corporations was finished and brought the cooperation contract, one hundred percent confident that the old woman would definitely be happy and would not suspect that she was the one who won the cooperation contract. However, when he was about to enter the luxurious house, apparently everyone was gathered there to drink tea, even Renal and Yoke also seemed to not like Harley's arrival.
"My grandmother has good news for the Kyle Group," said Harley.
"I already know," answered the grandmother curtly.
"How did grandma know? I haven't even told her," asked Harley in surprise.
Harley's gaze immediately fell on her cousins who were still sitting without moving, and suddenly she felt uneasy.
"You're really disgusting Harley!” snapped Rose, Renal's mother.
"Yes, he is indeed disgusting, selling himself to the head of the Wayne Corporation for the sake of a cooperation contract," continued Renal.
"This isn't true, I didn't sell myself to anyone," Harley defended.
"You're a big liar, Harley," the grandmother raged. Harley doesn't understand why his family is accusing him of such cruel accusations without any evidence.
"What proof is there if I really sold myself to the head of the Wayne Corporation?" Harley asked while looking at them all.
"There's no need for proof. With me being flatly rejected by the Wayne Corporation and treated like trash, it already proves that you are playing with its leadership," explained Renal.
Harley really doesn't understand Renal's way of thinking, who is arrogant and conceited to the point of declaring himself more worthy than Harley and slandering him for doing the vile things he said.
"Accusing me of selling myself just because you were rejected?" Harley replied. "Yes, that is the reality," emphasized Renal. "You are very cunning and arrogant, Renal. To the point of slandering me for unclear reasons. I did all this without any frills," screamed Harley. "I will never accept this disgusting cooperation contract," said the grandmother firmly. "Grandma," whispered Harley. "You, grandma, fire me and immediately leave the Kyle Group!" Kyle's grandmother continued. Like being struck by lightning, Harley heard the words of Kyle's grandmother who fired him for something he didn't do without caring about his self-respect. He, who didn't want to lose his job, immediately sat down and prostrated himself asking for forgiveness. "Grandma, please don't do that. I've survived and sacrificed many things to stay in the Kyle Group," Harley begged. "All this time, I've been merciful to you, Harley. If it weren't for my husband, I would have taken you away from the Kyle Group a
"Okay. I'll prove it," replied Renal confidently. Gerald immediately snatched the cooperation contract letter with Wayne Corporation from Harley's hands. The man with a thin beard and mustache tore the paper into shreds and threw it in front of everyone there with full confidence. “Are you crazy, Gerald?!” Grandma shouted because the thin paper was so precious to her. "Grandma won't need that, because her beloved grandson will guarantee a new cooperation contract from Wayne Corporation," replied Gerald. After saying that, Gerald pulled Harley's hand away from there, the two of them walked confidently and left the Kyle family residence. Meanwhile at home, Grandma was infuriated by Renal's mother's arrogant attitude and immediately hit her very hard in the face and blamed her for making Gerald that angry. "You're the one who made Gerald angry today, are you out of your mind?" Grandma snapped. "She's just a worthless daughter-in-law, why bother with her? Don't worry, regarding the
Grandpa read all the reports Ana gave today and thought what Gerald did was stupid. The woman reported the actions taken by the new owner of the Wayne Corporation, not expecting her grandson to receive a cooperation contract with the Kyle Group, which was only a small company. "So far, that's all the young master has done," Ana reported. "What is Gerald thinking? If this collaboration is successful, we will only gain a few percent of Wayne Corporation's shares, doesn't he think this is a waste of energy?" Wayne's grandfather asked disapprovingly. "It seems that Mr. Gerald has a special grudge against the Kyle Group," said Ana. "He is his wife's family, but I didn't expect Gerald would actually do this to make up for his heartache," added Grandpa Wayne. "Then what should I do, sir? Should I cancel the cooperation agreement with the Kyle Group?" Ana asked for reassurance. "No, don't do that. To cover the operational costs that will occur in this collaboration, it's better to make
The person who was targeted was unable to utter a word, his head lowered, his face looked unbearably pale due to the fear that enveloped him. Grandma started to growl in annoyance because the situation had strayed far from the topic of conversation. They glared sharply at Renal. "Enough! Stop this chatter," said the grandmother firmly. "Mother just kept silent watching Harley being hurt like that? Please open your eyes, mother, that all this time Harley has been up and down building the Kyle Group since his father left temporarily because of the arrival of Renal, who he said was precious gold at his university?" said Gerald's mother-in-law. "Auntie, watch your words, I am indeed a golden child and grandmother should be proud of me," said Renal arrogantly. "Enough! That's enough, aren't you embarrassed Renal with your words and behavior? You look even more rubbish compared to Gerald. If you are indeed capable of getting a contract with the Wayne Corporation, just prove it. Don't ke
"Stupid! "Opportunity will not come twice, look at Edward coming here just to defend you because his family's wealth is not comparable to ours, throw away your ego and look at the gold that is in front of you," he added. Harley was silent for a moment, the glory of the Johnson Company was beyond doubt, even Edward, the first son of the Johnson family, was famous for having the same arrogant and sarcastic attitude as Renal. "I highly doubt it," thought Harley. "With your attitude, are you sure that your father can persuade the new owner of Wayne Corporation?" quipped Gerald. "Don't interfere, Gerald," snapped Harley's mother. His poor son-in-law almost went too far in front of the figure of Edward Johnson, the richest and most successful son on the West Island. "It's okay mother-in-law, we'll see how this poor and arrogant person acts carelessly towards me. Harley won't last even five minutes at Wayne Corporation because he will definitely need me," said Edward confidently. "You
All eyes immediately turned to the graceful figure of the Limousine pulling up in front of them. A vehicle representing the power and wealth of Wayne Corporations had just arrived, capturing the attention of everyone present. The company emblem proudly displayed on the car door left a dazzling impression. "Just arrived, the new leader of Wayne Corporations," someone whispered among the guests, their voice low but filled with unbearable curiosity. No one could resist wanting to know more about the mysterious figure behind Wayne Corporations' new splendor. It was as if the entire West Island held high hopes of witnessing him firsthand, unveiling the secrets behind the city's economic powerhouse. The Limousine slowly opened, revealing the confident figure of Arnold stepping out from the driver's seat, followed by Ana emerging from the other side. They walked towards the passenger door with light steps, opening it as the whispers of the curious guests drew closer, eager to catch a glimpse
"Have you finished washing all the dirty dishes?" Harley asked in a haughty tone of voice as she stood in the kitchen doorway. The opponent Gerald Wayne was talking to just nodded his head obediently to his wife while showing dozens of white plates that looked so shiny neatly arranged on a large plate rack. There was a look of satisfaction on her face after seeing the results of her husband's useless work in her eyes. "Hurry up and change clothes, and remember not to embarrass me in front of my family's guests," said Harley and then left Gerald. A year ago was like a nightmare for Gerald Wayne. After the day of his wedding to Harley Kyle, the most beautiful woman on campus, Gerald's parents were involved in a serious traffic accident which caused his mother to die on the spot and his father to fall into a coma. Even worse, his adoptive younger brother, Christian Wayne sabotaged the company and took over the family's company for himself. The company and property were confiscated an
"Who are you? And how do you know my birthday?" Gerald asked in a confused tone and chuckled in surprise. The reason is that literally after the accident that bankrupted his family, no one in the world remembered his birthday, not even his wife, Harley. "My name is Arnold Zummer," he said, introducing himself. The name sounded familiar to Gerald's ears as if he had heard the name before, but he didn't know when or where. The handsome, reddish-haired man tried for a moment to remember the name Arnold Zummer in his head, but unfortunately he didn't know or remember who Arnold Zummer was. "Who are you?" Gerald asked. "I am your grandfather's personal assistant, William Wayne. My purpose in calling you is to tell you that your grandfather wants to meet to hand over all of Wayne Corporation's ownership assets." Gerald found it difficult to swallow his own saliva when he heard the words of the man speaking on the other end of the phone. The owner of Wayne Corporations inheriting the fr
