After the Clash

The subspace didn’t disappear right away. Asther is still there, with the lance pierced through his body. He didn’t want to move much because it would mean complicating the damage that has already been done. Hence, he left the collection of the loot dropped by the hobgoblins to his undead.

While they did this, Asther has his eyes set on one thing. The soul of the devil masked hobgoblin. Among the monsters that he fought in the subspace, this is the one that showed the most promise. As such, he wants to add the monster to his ranks.

It's funny how the necromancer could disregard his own wound and focus on the prize before him. But then again, this is something that any normal human might do as well.

When faced with a reward that is greater than the threat of death, one would probably feel numb from the pain. That is exactly what was happening to Asther at that moment. His eyes being entirely fixed on it.
