Octavia Harpis. This woman has wielded the sword ever since the day that she joined the tournament hosted by Claire’s father. She loves the feeling of the weapon on her hand. Not in a barbaric way of course. Rather, it’s in a way that she feels liberated. As if there’s nothing that can stop her as long as she has a sword…and that is exactly what she also felt at that moment. The female knight dashed through the ranks of the Direwolves. Her heart raced quickly but this is not due to any form of fright. The reason why her heart raced this fast is because of excitement. She is excited to use the full potential of her weapons and, to display what she is now currently capable of.While dashing, Octavia continued getting the attention of the nearby Direwolves. They followed her just as the female knight planned. And when there was finally enough of these, Octavia suddenly turned around. Her longer blade already charged.“You’re so dead.” The ego claymore commented as her master casted:“Dar
Familiar summoning. There are a lot of ways that can be used to summon a creature. The simpler the method is, the weaker the creature would also be. Likewise, the more complicated it gets, the stronger the summoned creature would also be. This is the basic rule of summoning that cannot be gone against by anyone or anything. It is a rule in Jhinn that will always apply.Asther has read little when it comes to summoning. He wasn’t able to go in depth on information regarding this because, the time he spent reading was limited to a week on juror Boreas’ basement. That’s why there’s only minimal information.Yet, even with this scarcity, there is one thing that Asther is sure of. That is, the thing happening in front of him at that moment is definitely a superior form of summoning.“System. What is going on?”[The leader of the Direwolves is being summoned master.] The system replied.“The leader? Isn’t the leader supposed to be among the ranks of the Direwolves already?”[No master. Just
Sixty direwolf souls. That is the exact number of the souls that Asther can attempt to raise as his undead. He didn’t waste any time doing this as well. His dark mana raged within the battlefield as if it had a life of its own. Slowly bringing the Direwolves back to life. Animating them in the form of undead. There is something else that Asther needs to do while performing this as well. With every direwolf that gets successfully turned into an undead, he needs to sacrifice one of his existing ones. This isn’t even a difficult choice for him to make as, every direwolf is just as strong as the alpha great wolf that he reanimated as well. That is why he made this process go on auto pilot. Letting his system automatically delete existing undead in order to replace them with the Direwolves. That is, except for the devil masked hobgoblin and the alpha great wolf, undeads that are still relevant in his team. With this the process continued happening until, Asther finally got what he wanted.
The attack that the alpha used is simple enough to understand. Basically, there is a way for it to follow the intended target. This explains why the attack is always present no matter where Asther chooses to shadow dive. This is one of the reasons why he decided not to answer the alpha a third time. He used this as an opportunity to understand the spell that the alpha used on him. The necromancer doesn’t want the fight to drag out with his opponent showing one move after the other that he doesn’t know how to deal with after all. That is why he reduced the number of the possible kinds of spells by doing what he just did.He is also able to figure out that, the attack would stop when it makes contact with something that is “alive”. Asther knows this is a fact because, even when the blades of wind hit the ground, the succeeding attacks still continued. The only time it actually stopped is when it made contact with Asther’s undead. Allowing him to completely understand how the spell works
This is what actually went on in the final stretch of the necromancer’s fight against the alpha bloodhound. But before this can be clearly explained, the first thing that needs to be understood is the way Asther fought the creature. The first thing that Asther did is provoke it. The necromancer made sure that this has a huge impact on the creature and, did an effort to leave it this way throughout the whole duration of the fight. This is important because, through it, the necromancer also ensured that the fight is basically his to claim. With the mental state of his opponent being weakened, the necromancer is able to use moves that it wouldn’t expect. The fact of the matter is that the necromancer actually purposefully made itself get into the defensive. Other than the fact that the monster is really strong, the necromancer also knows that there would be little benefit in him making attacks from time to time. This is because getting close to the alpha would surely lead to him getting
While Asther was busy taking down the boss monster, his allies was also busy doing what they were tasked to. Claire, Octavia, Parch, and Tyre, finished off the remainder of the Direwolves that are still alive in the battlefield. They made sure that they did this as cleanly and as quickly as possible because’ there’s no room for the group to make any mistakes. The four of them are fully aware that if any of the Direwolves escape from them, then the said monster would cause a problem for Asther. And they can’t have this. They can’t have trouble being brewed for the necromancer. That is why they did their utmost best because, even without thinking of Asther’s wellbeing, this is still what they would do.Octavia continued using her dark slash in order to trim down a sizeable number of opponents. Then there’s Claire who finally used her spear to its full potential. Coating it with enough mana to allow her to cut through the bodies of the Direwolves as if this is only made of butter. Tyre a
The necromancer now has something new that he needs to worry about. Asther needs to think about this new quest of his. He needs to think about the fact that he needs to singlehandedly slay all of the monsters on the left side of the forest. He can do this of course. It’s not a question of whether he could or not. But the bigger question is how. How can Asther ensure that he can kill all of the monsters within this area? How can he make sure that none of these monsters run away and just get themselves fed to the avian monsters? This is the biggest difficulty that comes with his quest. After all, it specifically indicated that he needs to kill “all” of the monsters on the left side of the dungeon. Not a single exception can be made from this. Hence, he needs to thread the waters carefully before proceeding. The necromancer can easily one tap the monsters there by using his Prototype. But it isn’t a question of whether he can do this or not after all. It is a different question entirely.
Asther didn’t leave on the same day that he made the announcement. In fact, he’s not planning to leave on such a short notice because, he still needs to make sure that his allies are truly prepared for whatever it is that the forest might have in store for them. Hence, the first thing he did is train his allies. If there’s one thing that Asther is sure of, it’s that his allies aren’t properly prepared yet for what is to come.Although he did say that they are strong enough to win against whatever it is that may come their way, this doesn’t mean that they would instantly win. Even with their ego weapons and, even with the new items that Asther has generously given to them, they still need the proper mindset that is coupled with the proper tactics. All in order for them to win against the upcoming battles. The necromancer knows for a fact that these battles are going to be rough. He knows this because, he already has a firsthand experience of what the boss monsters within the forest of
