The attack that the alpha used is simple enough to understand. Basically, there is a way for it to follow the intended target. This explains why the attack is always present no matter where Asther chooses to shadow dive. This is one of the reasons why he decided not to answer the alpha a third time. He used this as an opportunity to understand the spell that the alpha used on him. The necromancer doesn’t want the fight to drag out with his opponent showing one move after the other that he doesn’t know how to deal with after all. That is why he reduced the number of the possible kinds of spells by doing what he just did.He is also able to figure out that, the attack would stop when it makes contact with something that is “alive”. Asther knows this is a fact because, even when the blades of wind hit the ground, the succeeding attacks still continued. The only time it actually stopped is when it made contact with Asther’s undead. Allowing him to completely understand how the spell works
This is what actually went on in the final stretch of the necromancer’s fight against the alpha bloodhound. But before this can be clearly explained, the first thing that needs to be understood is the way Asther fought the creature. The first thing that Asther did is provoke it. The necromancer made sure that this has a huge impact on the creature and, did an effort to leave it this way throughout the whole duration of the fight. This is important because, through it, the necromancer also ensured that the fight is basically his to claim. With the mental state of his opponent being weakened, the necromancer is able to use moves that it wouldn’t expect. The fact of the matter is that the necromancer actually purposefully made itself get into the defensive. Other than the fact that the monster is really strong, the necromancer also knows that there would be little benefit in him making attacks from time to time. This is because getting close to the alpha would surely lead to him getting
While Asther was busy taking down the boss monster, his allies was also busy doing what they were tasked to. Claire, Octavia, Parch, and Tyre, finished off the remainder of the Direwolves that are still alive in the battlefield. They made sure that they did this as cleanly and as quickly as possible because’ there’s no room for the group to make any mistakes. The four of them are fully aware that if any of the Direwolves escape from them, then the said monster would cause a problem for Asther. And they can’t have this. They can’t have trouble being brewed for the necromancer. That is why they did their utmost best because, even without thinking of Asther’s wellbeing, this is still what they would do.Octavia continued using her dark slash in order to trim down a sizeable number of opponents. Then there’s Claire who finally used her spear to its full potential. Coating it with enough mana to allow her to cut through the bodies of the Direwolves as if this is only made of butter. Tyre a
The necromancer now has something new that he needs to worry about. Asther needs to think about this new quest of his. He needs to think about the fact that he needs to singlehandedly slay all of the monsters on the left side of the forest. He can do this of course. It’s not a question of whether he could or not. But the bigger question is how. How can Asther ensure that he can kill all of the monsters within this area? How can he make sure that none of these monsters run away and just get themselves fed to the avian monsters? This is the biggest difficulty that comes with his quest. After all, it specifically indicated that he needs to kill “all” of the monsters on the left side of the dungeon. Not a single exception can be made from this. Hence, he needs to thread the waters carefully before proceeding. The necromancer can easily one tap the monsters there by using his Prototype. But it isn’t a question of whether he can do this or not after all. It is a different question entirely.
Asther didn’t leave on the same day that he made the announcement. In fact, he’s not planning to leave on such a short notice because, he still needs to make sure that his allies are truly prepared for whatever it is that the forest might have in store for them. Hence, the first thing he did is train his allies. If there’s one thing that Asther is sure of, it’s that his allies aren’t properly prepared yet for what is to come.Although he did say that they are strong enough to win against whatever it is that may come their way, this doesn’t mean that they would instantly win. Even with their ego weapons and, even with the new items that Asther has generously given to them, they still need the proper mindset that is coupled with the proper tactics. All in order for them to win against the upcoming battles. The necromancer knows for a fact that these battles are going to be rough. He knows this because, he already has a firsthand experience of what the boss monsters within the forest of
There are a lot of things that Claire and her allies need to consider before making their initial strike. The first is the location of the enemies. They need to know exactly where the nearby opposing undead summons are. Second is the terrain where these monsters are located. They need to know if the ground is slippery, if there are any cracks on the ground or any other type of inconvenience that might be on the ground. Then there’s their current state as well. How disposed are they for this fight and if they have any kind of handicap. All these things need to be considered because, these will affect the type of approach that they’d be using for the fight. Depending on these things, they might be more lenient with their strikes. At the same time, if things are working out in their favor, then they can choose to go all out. That is why this is such an important factor to consider for them. With the report given by Tyre, the team has at least a general background and idea on what they sh
A loud ringing could be heard in the ears of all the four. They also felt their bodies seemingly being shaken by the force of whatever blow it was that caught them. None of them understands what happened. Fortunately for them, they do not need to guess about the nature of the said experience because, Asther finally appeared at that moment to explain things to them.“You failed.” The necromancer began.Asther took away all of his undead from the battlefield. There is no hostility present anymore because there is no need for it anymore as well. With the training going the way it did, the necromancer thought that there’s no reason for his undead to be maintained in the field anymore.“W-What was that?” Octavia asked.“That, milady, was an explosion caused by two fractured mana crystals exploding.”“What? How did you…”Asther is impressed by the fact that the saintess can still talk even in the state that she is in. But then again, this should not come as a surprise anymore. After all, Cl
If there’s one thing that Asther is known for, it’s his distaste for wasting time. When he was still the Deidre of earth, he would always have things organized so that things do not overlap in his overall schedule. This is the type of person Asther is and, this is the kind of thing that he also employed at that moment. Before leaving the group, Asther gave them another layer of security. Asther gave all of them five potions of every kind. Health. Mana. Stamina. The ones that he handed out are the most expensive ones inside the System’s shop as well. That is why most of his System Coins have been depleted as well.Nevertheless, Asther still finds it to be a good thing that he is able to give his allies this much. Because with them having something like this, he at least has an extra assurance that his allies would bee able to survive. Taking away a big part of the things that he needs to constantly think of. And with that being said, the necromancer can finally start his quest.“Alrigh
