The fight continued to move in the favor of Claire and her allies. There is nothing that their opponents could do about them anymore. Everything continued moving in the direction that Claire intended it to. Almost as if she has full control of everything that is happening at that moment. But aside from this, there’s also the fact that she’s doing her best in raising her awareness of the whole surroundings. Her level isn’t as good as Asther’s of course. She can never match the level of the necromancer. Nevertheless, she is still on a level which is acceptable. On a level where it can be said that they will not easily lose to the likes of the basilisks that they are facing.“What else do we need to do your highness?” The two soldiers asked as soon as they are finished with their task.“We need to reduce the number of basilisks as quickly as we can. Otherwise, we’d probably go through the same thing again.”As she said this, Claire watched Octavia hold back a total of twenty basilisks al
The fight is finally reaching the part where Claire is intending it to reach. The final part. The climax, if it can even be called that. With less than forty enemies needing to be defeated, Claire’s team is now in a position where they can continue the fight with less tension. Of course they still need to focus on taking down all of their enemies but, since there are now less than when they started off with, it removes a lot of the problems that they initially had as well. These including the continuous use of earthquake to change the terrain in their favor. This also includes the fact that they needed to put out flames and magma which, will now be greatly reduced as well. With all of this being said, there is one more problem that can rise for the group. Actually, this is the only real problem and threat for the group. The guardian of the forest and the leader of this group of monsters. The Blood Basilisk. The group doesn’t know that this is the type of basilisk that they need to fac
Blood red wings that seem to burn under the sunlight. Gleaming yellow eyes which pierced through everything it gazes upon. Crystal like claws that are sharp enough to make anyone uncomfortable just from looking at them. Scales that seem sturdier than any outward armor that a golem could ever fathom. A tail long and whip like. With flames coming out of it.This is the full form of the wyvern that Claire’s team needs to face. Fortunately for them, they didn’t die from the attack that the creature made. This is because the saintess shielded them from the blow. Claire made use of her powers. Creating a barrier that can only be mustered by someone as her. A person that has been chosen by one of the deities. She used all of the mana of light that she can borrow from her generous benefactress, creating a type of barrier that can negate a certain amount of damage.Thankfully, it is strong enough to block the entirety of the blow. Breaking just as soon as the breath of flames ended and, leavin
The wyvern screamed from the amount of pain it experienced from the attack. This much is acceptable because, after all, it has finally been wounded. The wyvern probably never had any damage all of its life due to its thick scales. But there it is now, finally receiving the first bit of damage after a long time. And it isn’t even a slight scratch at that. The attack that hit it, dug deep into its flesh. Opening up a wound and leaving a burning sensation that drove the creature crazy. It began to flail its body around. The wyvern thrashed the pillars with the wild sweeping of its tail. This is accompanied by the swinging of its arms. Destroying almost the same number of pillars that its tail is capable of.This would’ve been the perfect opportunity to follow up the attack. If not for the fact that the frenzied state of the monster isn’t something that they can easily get close to. Nor would Claire and her allies chose to do so because of how dangerous it all looked. Since the monster is
[Notice: The quest, Defeat the Forest Guardians have been updated.][Forest Guardians defeated: 2/3]“Well, that’s a surprise.”Asther read this message as soon as he finished clearing up two more monster camps. The necromancer used the same combination that he did earlier on. He used the domain of the high ogre bloodbornes in order for his operation to go unnoticed and, as for the source of damage, Asther made use of something else this time around. He made use of his Direwolves and made these fight against the monsters over and over again. The necromancer did this in order to put a little test into practice. Surely enough, it yielded him positive results. But before we move on to this part of the story, let us first focus on the necromancer’s reaction to the news about his allies.Asther knew that this would happen sooner or later. After all, these are individuals that he trained himself. Apart from this, they are also partially blessed with the system. With the party function apply
DeathThat’s the name granted to the strongest sniper in the world Asther Wolfhorn. There is not a single assassin who doesn’t know his name. The man who, at the age of twelve, assassinated a whole group of terrorists all by himself. The man who, at the age of fifteen, took out a whole mafia gang that numbered in a thousand. The man who, at the age of twenty, is responsible for destroying a large underground criminal organization without even being noticed – not until he finished his work. His accuracy is so on point that he can even make a clear short in the middle of a thunderstorm. It doesn’t matter if you hide under a bunker. It doesn’t matter if you fly a hundred thousand feet above the ground. It doesn’t matter if you hide in an island that’s far away from any good sniping point, this man…Death…he will find you. He has killed dictators. Slain terrorists. Destroyed organizations. He is a nightmare that nobody wishes to confront. Not once has he been caught and not once has he mis
Asther's sure he died. He released twenty high powered grenades at the same time. Three are on his body and, the explosion from this is strong enough to reach and detonate the other grenades he calculatedly scattered across the battlefield. There’s enough firepower to even destroy a bunker from the inside. There’s no human that would be able to survive such an explosion, especially someone who was at point blank range when it activated. That’s why he is surprised at that moment because…he found himself inside a seeming throne room. This doesn’t feel like hell because of how lavish it is. The chandelier seemingly made from diamonds and the golden silk-like chains that adorns the high ivory walls, all of this created a feeling of extravagance. Though nothing that Asther's ever seen on earth. He didn’t have much time to look around though. As an assassin, he needs to focus on anyone who looks like a threat. And at that moment, this means the person who sat on the throne.“Asther Wolfhorn,
“Hey, are you sure that he’s dead?”Asther could hear this voice from a distance. It’s feint but, the sound echoed to where he is. Allowing him to clearly hear it. In fact, he could even hear the nervousness in this person’s voice. Something that is shared by the second person who spoke.“Definitely. Who would survive from falling from that height?”Asther felt something warm at the back of his head. His senses slowly came back one by one. He was able to distinguish the smell of fresh blood. Giving him an idea of the warm liquid that flowed from where he lay.“Let’s go then, I don’t want to stay here any longer.”Asther heard the footsteps trail away. While this happened, his eyesight slowly got restored. It’s almost entirely dark. There is a bit of light but not enough to work with. He focused on this and waited for his eyesight to completely return – this only happening when the sound of footsteps finally disappeared entirely.[Congratulations on your reincarnation master.]This mes
