The next one on Asther’s list is Tyre. He didn’t actually want to go with the Thief next. For what it’s worth, Asther actually intended to go with Octavia as the next one he’d test out. However, the knightess is somehow a special case. Making her someone that Asther should save for last. And the reason for this would be revealed as soon as she’s given her new weapons.Hence, Asther Shadow Dived back to their base. He immediately picked out Tyre who already has a rough idea of what’s going to happen. Asther did brief all of them about the new weapons during breakfast after all. Thus the thief eagerly followed Asther to where they needed to go. Namely, the same part of the forest where Asther went to talk with Claire about her weapon. At that very same moment, the saintess is already beginning her additional training on the use of her new weapon. Moving to a new nest of monsters within that forest.“Tyre.” Asther began.“Yes sir.” The thief answered.“These will be your partners from no
“Hey scaredy cat.”“Stop calling me that.” Tyre told his weapon which was speaking to him telepathically as well.It felt weird to Tyre when this first happened, although frightening is a better word to describe the experience. But it’s not like he’s gotten used to it already. As far as the thief is concerned, the experience is still something that feels off to him.“Why should I? It’s true isn’t it? You got scared as soon as you got me.”Unlike Claire, Tyre isn’t up to a good start with his ego weapon. The main factor that contributed to this is the fact that he basically threw it away as soon as he got his hands on it. Making him look weak to the eyes of the very same weapon which he needs to dominate. As a result, he already as a bit of a disadvantage on this area.“That’s only because weapons like you don’t have a good reputation. You know that right?”“I’ve got no clue what you’re talking about. I was just born last night so how should I have any idea on what you’re saying?”“If
Tyre ran out of hiding. This is the first thing that the thief decided to do for that fight. As soon as he did, the eyes of the dark goblins all went to him. Without even any surprise being drawn on each of their faces. But Tyre couldn’t see this anymore, nor did he have time to look at it either as, they all suddenly vanished. They are used to this kind of thing after all. They are used to getting attacked while they are busy doing their day to day activities. There is no need for these goblins to hunt for their prey, the prey themselves go to their nest. Meaning also one thing…that the same nest that Tyre is attacking is filled with traps – activating one of these right away.Arrows came flying towards the thief’s direction. This is just the beginning however. Each of the dark goblin is already making their move to kill the uninvited guest inside their nest. However, none of this would work as easily as they thought.Tyre dodged the arrows by ducking down. These accidentally hit one
Tyre felt a surge of pain course through his body as soon as the fight ended. His whole body is hot from the whole ordeal. As if he just came out of a steaming hot magma. That is how he felt at that moment.Weirdly enough, this same sensation is able to mitigate the amount of pain that he felt. It isn’t as strong as he thought it would be. It’s on a manageable level which, made it even more weird. He has a lot of wounds from the fight after all. Most of these coming from the traps that he couldn’t avoid while some came directly from the dark goblins themselves.Nevertheless, Tyre is still able to win the fight. He singlehandedly defeated a whole nest of monsters. This hasn’t even completely registered in his head yet. Nor is he given a chance to do so as, with the fight ending, he is finally able to hear his weapon properly once again.“Hey! Are you listening to me?”“You’re really loud you know that.”“You little…you acted like I didn’t even exist during that whole fight.” The ego we
Asther thought back on the fight that just went with Tyre. There were a lot of things that happened and, so far, all of it far exceeded his expectations. Right from the moment when Tyre began to dodge the traps set by the dark goblins, Asther was already amused. He was amused by the fact that Tyre is actually capable of performing such a move.It was almost like he was watching a young assassin in training while looking at Tyre. This sent a wave of nostalgia back to him which felt weird. There isn’t anything about his past that could bring him good memories. Yet there he was, finding himself almost smiling.Asther understood everything that Tyre did. Even without the thief discussing his plans to the necromancer, Asther is still able to easily read this. After all, he has been doing this all of his life. A necessary tool for survival in the underworld back on earth.Another thing that surprised Asther is the fact that Tyre is already the master of his ego daggers. This is such a big d
[Weapon Name: Earth’s Wrath][Weapon Type: Ego Greatsword][Grade: C][Information: A weapon forged using an unknown method. This weapon holds an incredible amount of power due to the mana core that is used in its creation. Creating a distinct ego of the weapon, giving it a consciousness of its own.][Information: As an ego weapon, the greatsword will grow in proportion to its wielder. However, the weapon needs to be maintained properly as well.][Information: The whims of the weapon should be followed. But a the same time, this should be done so in moderation. The weapon must understand that it is merely a servant to its master which is the wielder. Hence, the wielder must show that he or she can dominate the weapon. Should this fail, the weapon shall never be accessed by the same wielder again.]This is the full information that came with Parch’s weapon. Just like Claire and Tyre, he shares the problem of having to tame the ego that comes with his greatsword. And since there are uni
Parch’s enemies are Crystaline Lizards. It’s another variety within the lizard type monsters and, it specializes in defense. Because of the crystals that covers parts of its body, it is a lot more resilient to damage compared to the regular lizards as well as the giant ones. However, a tradeoff of having a high amount of defense such as this is their poor movement. The crystalline lizards have a hard time moving around. It isn’t easy for them to do so because of how heavy the crystal around their body is. And, another thing, these same lizards cannot use any skills. They have mana of course. It’s just that they can’t utilize this because, for some reason, the crystals around their body will shatter if they attempt to use any actual active skill. But this should not be taken to mean that they are weak and cannot fight back. No. These lizards actually have a lot of threat to them as well. Passive threat at that. This being caused by the fact that the same crystals that surround their bo
A hundred percent. Parch is able to reach a hundred percent of his power output without his weapon complaining about it. This means one thing and one thing only. That, for the remainder of this fight, he can go all out without thinking of his weapon anymore. But before this, Parch also thought of something else. Another safety measure just in case he was wrong with what he thought. The Cleaver moved back. Far enough for the crystalline lizards to not reach him.As soon as this distance is covered, he decided to have another conversation with his weapon. This time, choosing a new approach in making it see things.“Hey, we’re going to do something fun from now on.”“Fun?”“Yeah. We’re gonna play a game.”“A game?!? What game mister?”As Parch expected, the response of the weapon to this is positive. He thought of himself to be stupid for not coming up with this strategy earlier. His weapon is a child. And if there’s one thing that all children love, it’s a good and enjoying game.Parch
