Asther and his allies stood a far distance away from the target that they need to kill. The high orcs are positioned at least half a kilometer away from them. And the only way the group can even see these monsters is because of the same binoculars that the necromancer first handed to his allies. Tools that he didn’t bother taking back anymore because, Asther thinks that this would prove to be very useful for his team. And it did. The item is one of the reasons why all of the missions of his allies thus far has succeeded. This helps them in the tactical aspect right before they begin a fight. Giving them an upper hand by letting them know how many enemies they need to face, what kind of monsters would be waiting for them. As well as potential traps that could be around the area. That moment is no different. Asther and his allies are there to observe for a quick while. The necromancer didn’t give any sort of orders because, he’s technically given the forest to his allies. It is theirs t
“Well that doesn’t look good.”Asther witnessed what is happening to the high ogres at that moment. They are releasing an immense amount of blue mana out of their bodies. The kind of mana that is attributed to the wind element as well. This explains the reason why his enemies are able to use the spells that they made use of earlier on in the fight. But more than the mana that they are bringing out, there is also a kind of transformation that is happening to the high ogres. Their bodies are being filled with markings of a sort. Blue intricate markings that glowed all over their bodies. These aren’t just for show either. Asther can see that these markings are actively making the ogres powerful. With his [Analysis] passive, Asther can see the numbers on the screen going up. All of the capabilities of the ogres, as well as the grade of their skills, all of these are going up exponentially and there doesn’t seem to be anything that can stop this. That is why he is fascinated with it.Never
Asther’s allies didn’t need to come down to the scene of the fight anymore. The necromancer went to them himself. Bringing his usual calm and composed state which surprised his allies after everything that has happened. After all, the necromancer did display a level of power that went way beyond what a normal person should be capable of, especially at the current ranking of the necromancer. He is a person who has not even gone past a whole year after gaining his job class. And yet, Asther already has a couple of tricks that shouldn’t be possible for him to use. This naturally made the necromancer feel an odd vibe coming from his allies. They all looked at him with a bit of nervousness in their expressions and he understands why. He knows that this is caused by the fact that he just released an immense amount of dark mana in one go. Something like this shouldn’t even be possible. No. Something like this shouldn’t even be allowed to happen. That is the kind of thing that Asther just did
The group followed Claire Ildefonso’s command. Second to Asther, she is the one who holds authority over the group. Even if Asther is much stronger and seemingly has more experience, on paper it is Claire who should be followed. Plus, there’s the fact that the air of nobility lingering around her adds to the sense of superiority she has over others. Making it even easier for others to follow her because of this.Hence the group packed up just as Claire ordered. Asther actually wanted to go back to his own mission at that moment. But for some reason, he felt that it was not the right thing to do. Especially because Claire intended this retreat to be a means for them to have a better environment for asking questions. This might be a bad thing and Asther knows it. He knows it because, with the interval being given, the initial shock that he brought upon the group would’ve surely been wiped away already. And with this being the case, his allies would naturally be able to formulate better
“Let’s put things in order.” The necromancer said. “Since the intention of your question is to know whether or not my spells are correlated, I need to present them to you in that order as well.”“So there’s really a correlation?” Claire asked.“Probably.” The necromancer suggested. “Anyway, I’m going to begin.”Five spells. Asther has five spells which are given to him by his weapon. Among these, there are only two spells that affect him as a person. All the other three spells are used primarily by his weapon itself. And since he needs to place these things in order, he decided to begin with his skills that belongs to his weapon.“There are three skills that are linked to my weapon itself.” Asther began. “First are the Black Bullets.”“That’s the name of the skill sir?” Tyre asked.“Yes. As the name indicates, the skill actively coats my bullets with dark mana that is stored by the weapon. This increases the piercing capability of each round that I fire.”“But you didn’t use that righ
Asther didn’t have trouble explaining his third skill to the group. It is a curse. This skill is basically designed and developed the same way as a curse. That is how Asther’s allies sees this and Asther can see their point clearly as well. The skill makes use of Asther’s life force as the catalyst. The skill continually drains the life force of the user and converts this into attribute and status points for the weapon. Making the weapon a lot more stronger than it already is. That is what [Advent of Evolution] can do. However, there is one factor that Asther’s allies are missing out when it comes to this skill. And that is, a specific concept that goes along with the skill.Asther’s life span doesn’t actually get decreased because of this skill. First of all, the skill is reliant on the health points of the necromancer. This is what the skill drains. Hence, as long as Asther has health points to spare, there is no danger of his actual life getting siphoned by the skill. After all, ho
[Death’s Reward]This is the name of Asther’s fourth skill. A skill that continually went active in Asther’s fight against the high ogres. His allies weren’t able to see this because of how far Asther was from them. However, they were able to notice the anomalies during the fight. Instances where Asther wouldn’t even bother dodging, yet would not get hit by an attack.“This is my fourth skill. Basically, this gives me a shield that nullifies all damages on the next attack that would potentially hit me.” Asther said, leaving his allies with their jaws almost dropping.“Can you repeat that? I think I heard you wrong.” Claire commented.“My skill activates every time I kill four enemies. Upon killing the fourth enemy, I’d gain a nullifier. A shield that would block the incoming damage no matter how powerful or how weak it may be.”It didn’t sound right to Asther’s allies and this is clearly evident in their expressions. The necromancer can’t blame them for this as well. After all, how ca
Claire didn’t actually walk up to the necromancer to meet him. Nor did she even give him a notice that she’d like to talk to him in private. That is why the necromancer thought that it’s okay for him to leave already. Yet, even before he could step out of the forest, he felt a presence staring at him.The necromancer knew that he was a second too late in noticing this. This made him grin a bit as he already knows who the coming up to him would be and, he didn’t waste any time calling this person out as well.“Is that a new skill of yours? You’re getting quite good at sneaking up to people.” Asther commented.“I have my methods.” The saintess replied, coming out of the shadows. “Anyway, I know that you already have an idea why I’m here right.”“Actually no. I have no clue why you’re here.” Asther replied. “I thought everything was already settled earlier.”“It was.” Claire said. “But that’s only on the part of the questions that I’m permitting everyone to know about.”Asther already kn
