Claire waited patiently for Asther. She wanted to fight his undead while doing this but, she thought that her stamina would be completely depleted if she does this. After all, although she has already remedied this, the fact still remains that she’s the one who gets tired the easiest within the group. The amount of time and effort that her allies invested in improving this is not something she can catch up to. That is why she simply sat down and meditated. Making sure that all her muscles and body parts are still in good condition as she awaited her opponent. She closed her eyes and made deep breaths. The amount of focus that went into this is so incredible that, nothing would ever be able to break it without her consent. And because of this same amount of concentration, all her other senses have been heightened. She can smell the dried leaves as well as the fresh ones on the trees. She can feel the warmth of the sun’s rays that peeked through the leaves on the branches. She can hear
Claire doesn’t understand what just happened in the fight. As far as she’s concerned, there’s no good explanation to what just happened. She was winning. She was the one who continued attacking. She was the one who was pinning her opponent against the wall. There was never a part of the fight where Asther was the one coming out on top. From the very start, everything was moving at her pace. That is why things didn’t make any sense. It was just one moment. Asther suddenly made an attack that didn’t seem to align with everything that was happening. One moment when the spear Claire held suddenly got forced up. With her hands feeling the vibration. What’s more. The things that happened after that didn’t align in her head as well. It didn’t make sense how Asther was able to advance towards her without worry. As if he was waiting for that moment. As if he knew that this would happen. That there would be an opening where she wouldn’t be able to do anything. And since she can’t think of the e
All the sparring matches have finally ended. As soon as it did, Asther checked on his notifications. Surely enough, what he wanted to see appeared to him right away. The notification that he needed in order to keep on strengthening his allies.[Congratulations! You have cleared the final requirement to break through to the second stage of the progressing quests. All party members that are under this will now receive their next quest.]This is exactly what Asther needs. This notification is basically everything to him at the moment. Asther needs this because, it is only through it that his allies can continue training in the pace that he wishes. And what is that exactly? It is a pace where they disregard all common sense. Something only possible if they share with Asther’s system function of attaining quests. However, the next notification that came after this is something he didn’t expect.[From this point onwards, all of the progression quests will be shared by the members that have
There isn’t actually a way for Asther to suddenly get his allies stronger. Leveling overnight is not an option. Nor can they receive skills that easily. And as far as actual combat goes, Asther can’t train them to be master assassins overnight. If he could, then he would’ve done something like this a long time ago. Unfortunately, something like this is too unrealistic. However, it isn’t like he’s entirely out of options as well. There is still something that Asther can do. And, only he can do at that. The necromancer, who is an irregularity of that world, can craft items and weapons for his allies.“Let’s see. What do they need.”Asther’s mind raced through the various weapons that are available on earth. He can’t mate anything that is too far apart from the weapons that his allies are using. But at the same time, he need not restrict himself to the rules of that world. He already proved that this can be bypassed when heh created the Prototype and, he won’t think twice before doing so
Asther didn’t waste any time and began making the weapons right away. That is what was supposed to happen right after he finished creating the blueprints. Unfortunately, the day is almost done.He can see the warm colors of sunset filling up the forest. Asther still finds it a bit weird that the dungeon also follows the normal intervals of day and night as if it is still part of Jhinn. He didn’t think of this as a nuisance of course. In fact, he thinks that this is actually a good thing because, it reduces the amount of things that he and his allies need to adjust to inside the dungeon. And, because the intervals are the same, this means that Asther needs to head back to camp. It’s time for dinner.“Where have you been?” This is the question Octavia asked as soon as he popped up.“I stayed on the area we used as an arena. Thought I’d get a bit of mind work done there.” The necromancer replied.“And did you?” Claire asked.“Is that even a real question? Of course I did.” Asther replied
Asther is able to create four new weapons in total. Perfect for his four allies that need to clear the dungeon. It took him roughly three hours to finish crafting these. Not because he encountered great difficulty in doing so but, rather, he had to redo the forging over and over again until he comes across the version that would be a perfect fit for his allies. Namely, weapons of a grade that is at least [C] or higher. And this is exactly what he finished with.[Weapon Name: Sky Piercer][Weapon Type: Ego Spear][Grade: C+][Information: A weapon forged using an unknown method. This weapon holds an incredible amount of power due to the mana core that is used in its creation. Creating a distinct ego of the weapon, giving it a consciousness of its own.][Information: As an ego weapon, the spear will grow in proportion to its wielder. However, the weapon needs to be maintained properly as well.]The first two information given by the weapon is nothing to be concerned about. But, the thir
Claire Ildefonso stood in the middle of an open field. Wielding her new weapon in her hand, she was given the assignment to eliminate a group of salamanders. These are the same type as the creatures they fought not long ago. Monsters that have an unbelievably high amount of armor, owing to the fact that they have scales which can almost negate any physical damage. As well as lessen the damage that comes from elemental spells.Of course, the greater the monster on this category is, the sturdier the scales would be. And when comparing the giant lizards and the salamanders, the giant lizards have a slightly harder scale compared to the regular salamanders. That is why these are the targets chosen for Claire and, the saintess understands this too of course.Claire has her eyes set on her targets already. The salamanders are scattered around the area of the trees outside the open field. Meanwhile, she’s there openly exposing herself to her enemies. As for Asther, he’s simply spectating fro
Claire isn’t able to finish the battle unscathed. Due to the fighting style that she needed to use to entertain her spear, she sustained a couple of hits by the projectiles emitted by the regular salamanders. One of these reached her arm. Thankfully, it wasn’t her spear wielding arm that was hit. Of course both hands are used to wield the weapon. But it wasn’t the primary wielding one which was damaged. At the same time, since the arm that was hit is only used to support the primary one, she is still able to use her weapon with some minor setbacks only. Then there’s her left leg. This sustained two hits during the whole interval of the fight. As such, it greatly impaired the movements that Claire could make. In fact, there were a lot of moments within the fight when Claire would suddenly stop for a split second due to the pain that she felt from her leg.Thankfully enough, she only sustained these injuries when the fight was nearing its end already. That is why there wasn’t much of a
