One thing that Asther is sure of is the fact that what happened to Octavia would never happen again. This is not something that he planned but something that came about as an accident. An accident which works in his favor at that. And although he’d love for something like this to keep on happening in the future, it would be impossible for the same kind of accident to keep on happening, even for a second time. That is why it is an accident after all.Hence, the one and only product of this accident is Octavia. And before Asther moved to the main topic, he first got the little details out of the way first. Beginning with telling the female knight that, unfortunately, the color of her hair changed because of the recent events.Of course his garnered a negative reaction on Octavia’s part. She was shocked about it and looked at her hair right away. Shouting the word “WHAT?!?” once again. But this is all that happened and no major commotion was stirred. Asther thought that this is mostly ow
Right after Octavia struck the deal with her ego weapons, she went to report the incident to Asher. This is only fitting since the necromancer needs to know everything that goes on in their group in order to create the best improvement plans for everyone.Hence Asther was told about the deal that was struck. How she would undergo the process of hybridization little by little. How her weapons agreed to let her use their skills while this is still going on. And how they would only accept her as their master once Octavia has actually turned into a full hybrid. These are the conditions to using the double ego weapon. Asther thought that this is a good bargain on the female knight’s part. Especially because, at the moment, she doesn’t have the strength necessary to dominate the said weapons. And although he is a bit worried about the said hybridization, Asther would have to reserve his thoughts and worries about it for another day. After all, there are still other more pressing matters tha
A hundred wolves. That is the exact count of the enemies that Asther and his allies need to face this time around. The group could clearly see this number as well. They could see it from the area that they currently are. That is, on top of a seeming hill within the forest. With the elevation being enough for them to see the direwolves on the camp. This place isn’t actually free. In fact, there were direwolves which guarded this area. This is something which should be expected. After all, the leader of this group of monsters is one of the three rulers of the forest. Although these monsters are still inferior to the avians that roam free outside the forest, the said direwolf alpha is not a monster that should be trifled with.Asther confirmed that it has a certain level of intelligence because the said hill was guarded by other direwolves. Other than this, there are also other direwolves nearby which served as backup to the ones that are out in the open. Just in case these gets ambushed
The ground quaked as Asther’s allies all dropped from the hill. This act got the attention of the Direwolves within the area but they didn’t care. In fact, this is exactly what the four wants. They want their enemies to recognize their presence and, for them to be seen as an actual threat, Parch set things of by creating an earthquake.“Let’s go!”As the Cleaver said this, he made a vertical swing with his ego greatsword. The weapon glowed in a golden yellow color before finally coming in contact with the ground. As soon as this happened, cracks on the ground appeared and from this came small pillars of rocks that came in waves. Some of the Direwolves actually felt within the gaps created by this attack while some simply fell because they lost their balance. However, Parch’s allies are unaffected by this because all of them leapt as soon as Parch shouted. Allowing them to escape potentially going off balance as well. They used this opportunity to strike some of the Direwolves that wer
There is one thing that the necromancer realized after the blunder when he first made his allies fight within the dungeon. That is, the worst could easily be prevented if he placed more effort in fighting alongside them.He sent his undead on the first fight. He even made sure that all members of his team are properly monitored and defended. That’s why he decided not to enter the fray himself. But at the end of the day, what he realized is that this method is faulty.Although he wants his allies to get stronger with experience, he should never push them to the brim. The reason being, if they accidentally receive mortal damage, the chances are that they would take a long time to recover. If not, there would be an effect to their minds. Making it easier for them to think that they would lose. Creating a persona that is weaker than they actually are. These are the things that the necromancer wants to avoid at all costs. Hence the decision to come down there and join them this time around
Octavia Harpis. This woman has wielded the sword ever since the day that she joined the tournament hosted by Claire’s father. She loves the feeling of the weapon on her hand. Not in a barbaric way of course. Rather, it’s in a way that she feels liberated. As if there’s nothing that can stop her as long as she has a sword…and that is exactly what she also felt at that moment. The female knight dashed through the ranks of the Direwolves. Her heart raced quickly but this is not due to any form of fright. The reason why her heart raced this fast is because of excitement. She is excited to use the full potential of her weapons and, to display what she is now currently capable of.While dashing, Octavia continued getting the attention of the nearby Direwolves. They followed her just as the female knight planned. And when there was finally enough of these, Octavia suddenly turned around. Her longer blade already charged.“You’re so dead.” The ego claymore commented as her master casted:“Dar
Familiar summoning. There are a lot of ways that can be used to summon a creature. The simpler the method is, the weaker the creature would also be. Likewise, the more complicated it gets, the stronger the summoned creature would also be. This is the basic rule of summoning that cannot be gone against by anyone or anything. It is a rule in Jhinn that will always apply.Asther has read little when it comes to summoning. He wasn’t able to go in depth on information regarding this because, the time he spent reading was limited to a week on juror Boreas’ basement. That’s why there’s only minimal information.Yet, even with this scarcity, there is one thing that Asther is sure of. That is, the thing happening in front of him at that moment is definitely a superior form of summoning.“System. What is going on?”[The leader of the Direwolves is being summoned master.] The system replied.“The leader? Isn’t the leader supposed to be among the ranks of the Direwolves already?”[No master. Just
Sixty direwolf souls. That is the exact number of the souls that Asther can attempt to raise as his undead. He didn’t waste any time doing this as well. His dark mana raged within the battlefield as if it had a life of its own. Slowly bringing the Direwolves back to life. Animating them in the form of undead. There is something else that Asther needs to do while performing this as well. With every direwolf that gets successfully turned into an undead, he needs to sacrifice one of his existing ones. This isn’t even a difficult choice for him to make as, every direwolf is just as strong as the alpha great wolf that he reanimated as well. That is why he made this process go on auto pilot. Letting his system automatically delete existing undead in order to replace them with the Direwolves. That is, except for the devil masked hobgoblin and the alpha great wolf, undeads that are still relevant in his team. With this the process continued happening until, Asther finally got what he wanted.
