The Gamble

Asther’s strategy is simple. He’s making the weapon feel like crap. He’s making the sword feel like it’s not worth anything. That even though it’s actually an [A+] weapon, the amount of power and relevance that it contains is so small that it almost seems like it doesn’t exist at all. This is the plan. This is the necromancer’s plan. But for this strategy to fully work, Asther still needs one last thing. He needs to prove himself to the weapon.

“You don’t care about the power that I can grant you?” Noir asked.

“No.” Asther said. “Your power might let me finish the enemies quicker but, even without it, I can handle myself perfectly fine.”

“Wait, come to think of it, what is your job class?” The weapon asked.

The ego weapon, although having a consciousness, is not all knowing. Just because it is wielded by a human, does not mean that it will automatically know everything about the human that will possess it.
