The Hunt

Gerald doesn’t understand what’s happening. He doesn’t understand why his house is burning at that moment. He doesn’t understand why the explosion suddenly happened when his other manor has just been destroyed.

“What are the guards doing? How can they let something like this happen?” Gerald said out loud as he looked down the ground.

There are supposed to be more guards and soldiers there than usual. He placed them all around his manor to keep his family safe. He needed this extra measure for him to be eased of any worry for the lives of his other family members. Yet, the explosion that woke him up still happened. There is still fire in the house. And as he looked at the wide area owned by his family, Gerald understood why.

All the guards are on the ground and unconscious. Gerald doesn’t know what happened to them but, one thing is sure, that whoever did this to the guards is also responsible for what’s happening to his manor.

“What’s going on?”
