Asther and Octavia continued to train like crazy. There was nothing stopping them because, both of them are true fighters. Even though the knight doesn’t have that many on field experiences, her stamina alone is enough of a testament that she is taking her job class seriously.Asther watched everything from the corner. He keenly observed Octavia with his passives. Meanwhile, Octavia was fighting against the human type undead of Asther. The same ones that he took from the Ragencliff manor. There are three human type undead and two hobgoblin undead that are mixed into the match as well. These five fought against Octavia at the same time. None of them was letting up in aggression as well. Effectively pushing the female knight to a corner in no time at all.Although this happened quickly, it isn’t Octavia’s fault. The fault is with the fact that she’s using two blades instead of just one. This alone is making it difficult for her to fight because, she isn’t used to the dual wielding yet.
The whole second day was devoted for nobody else but Octavia. Asther spent his time with her. He summoned his undead over and over again for her to fight. He made sure that she gets the hang of using dual swords before he leaves because, after this point, he needs to focus on the two soldiers.Within the span of that day, Asther found great success in this undertaking. He was able to do a lot of things. Aside from properly guiding Octavia, he was also able to accomplish three of her progression missions. This allowed Octavia to have a strong power spike. This is a good thing of course. However, Asther was beginning to experience the dilemma that comes with the progression of these quests. That is, the questions that would be raised by his allies.“Hey, I really feel like something’s weird here.” Octavia said. She tried cutting through a tree with her dual swords. She didn’t even use a skill to do so. And yet, her blades buried up to the middle of the tree.“See? Didn’t I just get way
Before the day’s training could end, Asther decided to check up on his first trainee. The area where his allies train are separated by thick trees that seemingly made walls. This prevented them from distracting one another. But there is another reason why the setup is like this. It’s because Asther needs to keep the dignity of Claire. The kind of training that he’s making her go through is gruesome after all. To the point that it would be easy for Claire to throw up just from exhaustion or to have a look on her that seemed like she’s been sucked dry of all life. That is the kind of state which cannot be seen by Claire’s allies other than Asther. Sure Octavia saw her in a poor state yesterday. But the one that the knight saw was already the watered down version. Asther made sure that he properly helped Claire tidy herself up to the extent that’s possible before they faced the knight. That afternoon is different. Asther checked up on Claire right as soon as she finished her training. He
The schedule of their third day inside the dungeon went like this. Claire needed to continue her stamina training. Asther made sure to provide her with enough stamina potions just like on the first days. It’s a bit expensive doing so of course but, he could definitely see some progress from this training.Claire is already at a stage where she requires less stamina potions for the duration of the day. Yesterday, she left two bottles unused. Meaning, there is already a considerable change to her stamina.Meanwhile, Octavia had to get more comfortable with using two blades at the same time. For her to do this, she needed competent enemies to fight against. That’s why Asther needed to use the demon masked hobgoblin and the bandit leader as her opponents. With this, Asther can finally take his sweet time in training the remaining members of the group. The two soldiers who are lucky enough to have travelled with Claire at that time. Tyre and Parch.“First things first.” Asther said. “I nee
[Item Name: Regular Greatsword][Item Grade: C+][Level Restriction: 15][+100 Attack Power][Information: An item made using basic materials and minerals. It is a unique item that cannot be duplicated due to the conditions when the item was made.][Unique Trait – Berserk][Information: When the wielder of this item reaches low health, he or she will gain additional attack power boost. This boost is directly proportionate to the percentage of health that’s lost when the passive is activated.][Information: There is no direct percentage linked as to when Berserk will activate. But it will not occur until the user has dropped below 50% health.]This is the first item that Asther is able to make. There is one thing that surprised him right away and, that is the color given off by the item. It’s purple. Every item has its name colored. There are six variations to this. The first and the most common ones are white. The second grade is green. Then there’s the third which is blue. Then comes
“I’m a cleaver.”This is Parch’s answer when asked what his job class is. Asther didn’t expect both the soldiers to have a job class that doesn’t seme to belong to a swordsman. But he might be wrong. For one thing, Asther doesn’t know what a Cleaver, job class is. That’s why he needed to ask Parch to elaborate on this further.“A cleaver? What’s that?”This is the first time that he has encountered the job class. This doesn’t come as a surprise since he’s only lived inside Jhinn for more than a month. He doesn’t have enough knowledge and experience of this world yet.“It’s a job class that uses up heavier weapons to strike.” Parch said. “Basically, my body is more fit to hold giant claymores and axes. Those are the kinds of weapons that would suit me best.”“Then why did you enlist in the military as a swordsman?” Asther asked. “Your job class doesn’t sound normal to me.”“That’s true.” Parch replied. “It isn’t a normal job class. But I can’t pay the fee that’s required to join the be
“You both have great form.”It was only after Asther said these words that the two soldiers noticed him. They were even startled in fact. Neither of them sensed his presence until he made it known. Asther did this intentionally of course. He wondered how strong his stealth skill still is and, used the opportunity to test this out.“How long have you been standing there sir?” Tyre asked.“Long enough.” Asther replied. “I saw a couple of things on your form but before I discuss that, I have a little something for you.”Asther took out his magical pouch. From it, he drew out the items that belonged to the two soldiers. He handed it to them immediately which surprised them both.“Where did you get these sir?” Parch asked.“Those? I made them of course.” Asther said nonchalantly. He wants to hide as much information about himself as possible. But he also believes that something like his craftsmanship won’t be something he can keep hidden. If he continues supplying items, weapons, and equip
“My passive is called Cleave.” Parch said.“That’s a pretty bland joke don’t you think?” Asther said.“No sir. It’s true. My passive is called Cleave.”“You’re a Cleaver and your passive is Cleave? Who thought of these names?” Asther sighed. “Anyway, what does the passive do.“The passive allows me to land a guaranteed critical strike when I make my fifth attack.”“Wait, isn’t that actually a really good skill?” Asther asked.“It’s supposed to be sir.”“Supposed to be? What do you mean?”“Well, the skill allows this passive to activate, only when I’ve met the requirement through the use of a heavy weapon.” Parch said.“Dear lord.” Asther realized the meaning behind these words right away.Parch is a soldier. A swordsman at that. This means that his weapon is a regular broadsword, the same as any other soldier of this category. This also means one thing…that his passive has never activated. Not even once.“My weapon prevents me from getting the passive to proc.” Parch said, confirming
