Asther thought back on the fight that just went with Tyre. There were a lot of things that happened and, so far, all of it far exceeded his expectations. Right from the moment when Tyre began to dodge the traps set by the dark goblins, Asther was already amused. He was amused by the fact that Tyre is actually capable of performing such a move.It was almost like he was watching a young assassin in training while looking at Tyre. This sent a wave of nostalgia back to him which felt weird. There isn’t anything about his past that could bring him good memories. Yet there he was, finding himself almost smiling.Asther understood everything that Tyre did. Even without the thief discussing his plans to the necromancer, Asther is still able to easily read this. After all, he has been doing this all of his life. A necessary tool for survival in the underworld back on earth.Another thing that surprised Asther is the fact that Tyre is already the master of his ego daggers. This is such a big d
[Weapon Name: Earth’s Wrath][Weapon Type: Ego Greatsword][Grade: C][Information: A weapon forged using an unknown method. This weapon holds an incredible amount of power due to the mana core that is used in its creation. Creating a distinct ego of the weapon, giving it a consciousness of its own.][Information: As an ego weapon, the greatsword will grow in proportion to its wielder. However, the weapon needs to be maintained properly as well.][Information: The whims of the weapon should be followed. But a the same time, this should be done so in moderation. The weapon must understand that it is merely a servant to its master which is the wielder. Hence, the wielder must show that he or she can dominate the weapon. Should this fail, the weapon shall never be accessed by the same wielder again.]This is the full information that came with Parch’s weapon. Just like Claire and Tyre, he shares the problem of having to tame the ego that comes with his greatsword. And since there are uni
Parch’s enemies are Crystaline Lizards. It’s another variety within the lizard type monsters and, it specializes in defense. Because of the crystals that covers parts of its body, it is a lot more resilient to damage compared to the regular lizards as well as the giant ones. However, a tradeoff of having a high amount of defense such as this is their poor movement. The crystalline lizards have a hard time moving around. It isn’t easy for them to do so because of how heavy the crystal around their body is. And, another thing, these same lizards cannot use any skills. They have mana of course. It’s just that they can’t utilize this because, for some reason, the crystals around their body will shatter if they attempt to use any actual active skill. But this should not be taken to mean that they are weak and cannot fight back. No. These lizards actually have a lot of threat to them as well. Passive threat at that. This being caused by the fact that the same crystals that surround their bo
A hundred percent. Parch is able to reach a hundred percent of his power output without his weapon complaining about it. This means one thing and one thing only. That, for the remainder of this fight, he can go all out without thinking of his weapon anymore. But before this, Parch also thought of something else. Another safety measure just in case he was wrong with what he thought. The Cleaver moved back. Far enough for the crystalline lizards to not reach him.As soon as this distance is covered, he decided to have another conversation with his weapon. This time, choosing a new approach in making it see things.“Hey, we’re going to do something fun from now on.”“Fun?”“Yeah. We’re gonna play a game.”“A game?!? What game mister?”As Parch expected, the response of the weapon to this is positive. He thought of himself to be stupid for not coming up with this strategy earlier. His weapon is a child. And if there’s one thing that all children love, it’s a good and enjoying game.Parch
When the battle finally finished, there was only a single person left standing in the battlefield. Parch. Just like his allies who trained with their ego weapons before him, the Cleaver is also able to manage with the handicap given by his own ego weapon. Allowing him to become victorious and, in the process, gain a kind of experience that only that kind of fight could bring.Unlike his allies however, he didn’t sustain that much damage. And this is all due to his own ego claymore. The weapon finally took away its covering, making all of its passive skills activate at that moment. Hence, the regeneration also activated. Allowing Parch to heal with every second that passed. While this happened, Parch took the liberty of entertaining his weapon once more. It is a child after all. And, a child will always have a lot of question no matter the situation.“That was so cooooool!” The weapon said in joy and excitement.“See? What did I tell you?” Parch answered. “It was fun right?”“Uhuh. You
Everything is finally coming along based on Asther’s grand design. The first three have finished with their training with their ego weapons. And unlike what Asther thought, the two soldiers didn’t fail in wielding theirs. Instead, these two have gotten the full consent and approval of their weapons. Putting them above Claire who is still in the middle of negotiating. As for Octavia, well, Asther is almost certain that she would get the same outcome as Claire as the best possible outcome. This isn’t the highest possible outcome however. Just the best that he could hope for because, Octavia’s ego weapon is a bit more complicated.“Is it finally my turn?”“Yup. You’re the last one.” Asther said.Right after Asther finished with Parch, he returned to the base to meet up with Octavia. He knew that she’d be in the state that she is in because he made her wait a long time. This isn’t his fault of course. All of the credit goes to Parch who took a long time finishing off the monsters because
Black mana began oozing out of Claire’s body. As soon as she held on to the weapons, the transformation began as well. Black and powerful mana covered her entirely. To the point that she seemed like a shadow inside the spiral of dark mana.Asther stood just outside of this. Watching the whole thing carefully as she examined Octavia who was beginning the test already. Her training is a lot different from what the first three experienced. She will not try to tame her weapon by fighting alongside it. No. Octavia will tame her weapon by fighting it. She needs to use the same method that Asther talked of with Parch. Octavia needs to dominate her weapons. This is the only way she can ever get them.[Warning: This zone cannot be entered. Anything that enters the point of range will receive corruption damage.]This notification appeared to the necromancer who stood outside the spiral. He didn’t have the slightest intention of going in of course. That’s why he placed the preventive measure on
Asther remained outside the area of effect of Octavia’s training. He’s the one who made the female knight do this after all so, he has every intention of seeing it through until the end. This is the least he can do to show that he actually cares about what would happen to Octavia. But it isn’t like he’s idly standing there as well. While the necromancer is there, he used his [Analysis] in an attempt to get some useful information out of the spiral of dark mana. Although he knows that there is already a safety measure in play, Asther still checked this nevertheless. After all, it wouldn’t hurt to be too careful when it comes to things like this.True enough, Asther found something interesting coming out of the spiral of dark mana. A warning at that which is connected to what is happening to Octavia.[Warning: The mental fortitude of party member Octavia is declining below the reasonable threshold.][Mental Fortitude: 45%]This is the first thing that Asther saw.
