Chapter Seven: Party 1

         "Alina dear, that's not very gracious of you."

Ariadney adjusted her self and called a maid to clean the table. 

She wasn't okay with Alina's teasing and same goes with Zeres. Even though, it was funny somehow they still find it hard to contain it.

Alina looked down and apologized. 

" Am sorry your Majesties." 

The King held his Princess right hand and smiled at her. " It okay Ali, and happy birthday in advance sweetie."

He wished her and Alina beamed.

The King was the first to wished her in advance, and she hugged him. 

" Thank you Papa." 

"Oh please...." 

Ariadney snorted and crossed her legs. Zeres got ahead of her and she was mad at him for that. She thought, she was supposed to wish their daughter first and not him. 

"Mama, it still not late." 

Alina said and nodded at the Queen.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. In advance my love."

 She hugged her daughter and kissed the crown of her head.

Zeres sat back on his seat and trilled gently,

 " I have decided to host a party for you. Don't get me wrong, I know you don't like parties but this one is going to be special. 

"Firstly, because it going to be your eighteen birthday.

"Secondly, because I will be inviting the dark fae King. He is my friend somehow, and I know you have been wanting to meet some supernatural Beings before, so this will be your chance.

"Thirdly, I think this should pave way for you to find a suitor........"

                 

Zeres words made Alina so happy especially the second part but when it came to the third part, her laugh died down and she frowned.

"No! No.... I am not ready for that your Majesty." 

She said almost immediately and cut the King's words.

Zeres sighed. " You should let me finish Alina, it is not proper to cut an elder's words."

"Apologies your Majesty." 

She bowed and expressed her deepest apology.

She didn't meant to offend her father by cutting his words, but she just couldn't accept it. She wasn't ready for anything call "love", maybe later but not now. 

"We are not forcing you Alina, infact we are giving you a one of a kind opportunity. Maybe you can find the one, who can make your heart to skip a beat in the coming party. We don't want you to be like others, we want you to fall in love and be happy." 

Ariadney expressed in a content tone, even though she was displeased with Alina's actions. 

She still wanted the best for her daughter no matter what.

Alina already knew what she did was wrong. Coupled with what the Queen said, she was willing to adhere to them now.

"Papa, Mama, I have agreed, and I hope to find the one."

"Oh, don't worry. Am sure you will be pleased with the party, plus dark faes are going to be present too. You've always want that right?"

The King said and questioned his Princess. He knew Alina has always craved to see a dark fae and making it come true will really make her happy.

Alina beamed. " Yes! I can't wait to see how beautiful they are."

Zeres held his daughter's left shoulder  and commented at her words, " Oh, am sure you will be fascinated by their beauty. They are cool creatures."

Ariadney cleared her throat. "Hemmm."

She thought, they forgot she was still there with them, thus she cleared her throat to gain their attention.

"Alright, you two can continue your discussion in the later hours. Ali darling, for your birthday I already assigned a really good seam mistress for you. Am sure you will love her designs."

Alina was surprised at her parents plans for her. She honestly didn't expect that, and she was moved.

She hugged them both and muttered , " Thank you."

"It nothing darling."

"Yeah, you are our Princess. Anything we do for you is nothing but our duty."

Alina looked at her parents and wondered, what she will do without them. 

"Oh by the way, do you want anything else as your birthday present?"

Zeres asked his daughter.

Alina went quiet for a while, seemingly thinking, and then she nodded.

"Hah, yes. I want Eris to be my personal knight."

"Who is Eris?" 

Ariadney asked with a frown. She was surprised at Alina's request, cause she knew Alina wasn't the type to associate with guys, except if it involves fighting.

The King also gave a questioning look to his daughter.

"Huh Eris, the guy with a blonde hair. He is part of the Special Knight Squad."

"And why do you want someone from a Squad? Alina you already have lots of bodyguards, even you can protect yourself. So, why do you need this one?"

The King was still confused and threw questions at her.

Alina exhaled loudly. 

"Please Papa, just grant it. That's what I want."

Ariadney hummed.

"It will not be easy dear."

Zeres replied his daughter. He can't just use his power as the king anyhow. He needs to make nice decisions, cause alot of people are looking up to him.

Alina looked at her father sweetly and begged. " Please Papa.... I know you can do it, and it not about abusing your power as the King."

Zeres was unable to resist his daughter's puppy eyes, and he gave in to her wish.

 " Fine! As you want but don't tried that puppy eyes with me again."

He warned her, cause he thought it was actually unfair.

"Yes!" She squealed.

A servant came to delivered a message to Alina. 

" Your Highness, Lady Joy is asking for you, and she is waiting in the garden."

Alina face palmed her self and hissed. " Oh! I almost forgot. Shit!!... Papa, Mama, me and Joy have an outing today. Am sorry I didn't inform you both earlier, it actually skipped my mind."

Zeres looked at Ariadney, and she nodded at him.

"Fine, you can go."

He gave his permission.

"Yes! Thanks. I need to go now, before she fry me with her scolding."

The trio chuckled, and she hiked her way out.

       "Hey girl." Alina greeted Joy, as she made her way towards her.

She knew she was in a deep shit.

Joy stood up and ran to hugged her.

"Well, that's came as surprise." 

Alina muttered, barely inaudible. 

She was expecting Joy to be mad at her or something similar to that but instead she was greeted with a hug.
