The light had filled the car, consuming them both. Adrian had not felt anything like this before and was enjoying every ounce of the power and how powerful it made him feel, but he was suddenly interrupted by a knock on the door of the car and as he finally pulled away with the light slowly diminishing, he realizes that it was Aunt Emma and he had totally forgotten about checking up on her.

But just when Adrian was about to unlock the car from Avery’s ray, his eyes met with hers, and what he saw made his heart beat so fast that he thought that his heart was going to jump out of his chest.
