There was a long sigh from the other end of the phone again before Mr. George’s voice came through again. “Listen, Reynold, we go a long way back, we have been friends and I have helped you in all ways that I can, but I think that this is as far as I can go. I have taken my hands off this and hope you find a means to pay off this loan”

“George….” Mr Smith was not done talking before a loud beep sound came through and that was the call ending. He caressed the bridge of his nose as he lowered his head down to his computer like there was a solution sitting there, but even at that moment, he felt so lifeless.

Just then, the door twisted open with his wife stepped in, she stared at him briefly before she asked. “Is everything alright?”

“yeah, sure, why shouldn't it be alright”

“Okay, I just thought that you looked a lot of distance lately”
