Satan ruffled his hair. "She said she wanted to come along, and I wanted to stop her, but she locked me inside this box."

Leonid didn't look convinced; there was no way his skinny wife was going to lock a fully-built man in a box without his consent. There was no way he was going to believe that lie. Reaper slapped Satan on the shoulder.

"Dude, I can't believe you let me carry you all the way here. No wonder the bag was so heavy," Reaper scolded.

"That's not the point," Viktor said. "We told you to watch the young miss at home, didn't we?"

Amelia got up from the ground and stood to her feet. She rubbed her arm.

"Don't take it out on him; it is all my fault," she said. "I have to take responsibility for what I did; I made him bring me here. I just wanted to go with you; I won't cause any trouble or be a burden. I will stay out of your path."

Leonid shook his head and turned to Viktor. "How far are we from shore?"
