CHAPTER 42

"Leonid, wait," Amelia called after him.

Leonid wasn't ready to listen to her; he walked into a room and locked the door. Amelia banged on the door.

"Hey! You can't ignore me. Fine, I'm sorry. I just wanted to go with you."

Leonid chuckled as he heard those words. He glanced around the room; his eyes were drawn to the luxurious surroundings. The bed was tucked in a corner of the room, and there was a large glass window through which he could see a pool.

He completely forgot about Amelia, who was banging on his door, and he jumped onto the bed, falling asleep, engrossed in its comfort.

By the time he woke up, it was already dark. He rubbed his eyes as he got off the bed and headed to the bathroom. Turning on the lights, he splashed water on his face and stared at his reflection in the mirror. Even though he had cut his hair shorter, it was still long. He grinned and turned away from the mirror.
