Chapter thirteen

Christian merely smirked at the outrage, many members of the table were rather eager to agree with Hogan. Most believed that indeed he was trying to outsmart them all.

Pa Pete raised his fist and a hush fell in the room, many stared at him condescendingly but could not oppose his authority.

Hogan, now by the table, right beside Jupiter's seat, had his eyes leveled on Pa Pete, almost challengingly.

"You ask if Jupiter knows of his reinstatement into the family? Who do you think would dare make such a call if not Jupiter?" Pete asked rhetorically.

"You fail to understand him, we all believe that, all we want to see is prove that indeed we are not being played by his...boy." another member of the board said, all the while Hogan nodded to the discord he'd fueled.

"It's rather strange how you all suddenly wish to see the same Jupiter you've regarded as a god, a deity, now you're eager to receive confirmation." Christian laughed heartily and leaned on his armrest, staring at
