1. Bad Luck Streak

Nigel walked unsteadily to the bus stop that would take him to the apartment. The golden brown-haired young man had just lost his job as a food delivery boy. The last customer obtained a low-rate review because the food arrived late, and the arrangement no longer looked delicious.

“Huh, I shouldn't have bothered to come to the office; this way, I don't have to deal with that arrogant Jenkins who finally fired me. I should accept the sanction suspended for two weeks. Now I alone have to lose and be confused thinking about the continuation of my life! It crashes all the way.

“Damn… damn!” Nigel kept cursing at his stupidity.

He was emotional and did not pay attention to the circumstances around him until colliding with someone.

"Hey, trash, you're blind! Just walk until you have to bump into my girlfriend!” exclaimed a man with a woman who accidentally collided with him.

Nigel looked up and intended to apologize, but the young woman before him only lowered her head while covering part of her face with her palms. Nigel narrowed his eyes and nodded; he knew who the woman who accidentally bumped into him was very well.

"Bella?" he scolded to make sure the girl.

Of course, Nigel could easily recognize the figure in front of him, even though the woman tried to hide by covering her face with her palms and standing behind the man she was with.

"Hmm you know him, honey?" asked the man who had scolded Nigel.

Darling? Did he call Bella by an affectionate name? The man dared to say he loved Bella. Doesn't that man know that Bella is his?

Seeing Bella, who still didn't answer and looked away, was like giving a code to the man beside her. Nigel was even more furious; his feelings were even more mixed now. He could even feel his blood starting to boil.

“Oh, he's the stupid guy you've told me about? Never mind, my dear Bella, is there no point in us hiding like now? Let him know the truth of what happened," replied the man with Bella. It seemed that the man didn't like Nigel's figure and irritated him even more by hugging Bella's waist intimately.

Bella slowly looked up and lowered her palms, which covered part of her beautiful face. He was no longer awkward and held the hand of the man beside him tenderly.

"Hmm, yes, it's me, so what. It's good that we met here, so I no longer need to think of ways to say I'm breaking up with you," Bella replied curtly, and she was getting spoiled by the man she was with.

The woman he bumped into was Bella Hughes, who had been by his side the last few months. A blonde girl with blue eyes and a violin-like waist. She is a young woman with above-average beauty and an idol on the campus where she studies.

Nigel loves Bella so much that he will do anything for her happiness. Even Nigel is willing to work hard as a food delivery person until he loses sleep and saves expenses from fulfilling Bella's wishes.

"You're going to leave me Bella?" asked Nigel in disbelief.

Bella didn't answer; instead, her slender fingers were placed on Nigel's forehead and pushed him away.

“You think for yourself, that is if you have a brain. Oh yes this is my lover Jordan Wright, he is the sole heir of the Wright family, you know who they are? One of the richest people in the city of LongBay City," Bella proudly introduced her new beau.

Jordan also confidently smoothed his shirt collar and embraced Bella's slender waist, deliberately making Nigel even more jealous.

"Hmm actually Bella is not planning to leave you, but she has already left you. Because hmm you know yourself, Bella is so beautiful like an angel, it's impossible for her to be side by side with a bum like you?” Bella's adorable crunchy laugh followed his sarcasm. The laughter that always made him happy when fatigue came.

“You… why are you doing this Bella? I've fought a lot for you. Even I'm willing to eat only two times a day and take a lot of orders just to please you, "replied Nigel with great disappointment.

“Ha ha … you are not only stupid but also deaf. Jordan already said that you don't deserve me. You are a completely useless man. How can someone like me live with you. You see, can you give this to me? Don't you dare to think about making me live in that rundown apartment of yours? Or go on a date using public transportation? You know I'm going to itch because of that,” Bella explained while showing several paper bags bearing the logo of branded fashion products whose prices can reach thousands of dollars.

Nigel said nothing because he knew he couldn't make Bella's wish come true.

"Of course you can't right? Ha ha,” Bella sneered, followed by laughter from Jordan.

"You want to hear my advice dude? Now you better get up from your sleep and wash your face so you can see the truth," Jordan added, patting Nigel on the shoulder and laughing at him.

At that moment, Bella accidentally looked behind Nigel, and he widened his eyes. He quickly took Jordan's hand and asked him to leave that place.

"Honey, let's go, there's no point in us staying here and tending to this poor fellow. Later we can be infected with poor and unlucky like him. It's better if we just go to my place, don't you want to see me try on the lingerie I just bought?” Bella spoke quickly but seductively. Of course, Jordan would not refuse the invitation, and they immediately got into the luxury car and left Nigel alone.

Jordan's car had left the area for three minutes, but Nigel still stood there mourning them. He didn't even realize that behind him were four burly men.

One of the four men grabbed Nigel's shoulder so roughly that he had to turn around. One of the groups saw a photo and compared it to Nigel.

"That's right he is!" said the man holding the photo.

The man who had grabbed Nigel's shoulder also grabbed Nigel's collar and twisted it roughly, making him cough because of his strong grip.

"Hurry you pay your debts or you will die!" threatened the man clutching his collar. At the same time, three other people were seen holding sharp weapons.

Nigel glanced around and looked deserted. The people who happened to be heading towards him turned around. The shops that were previously open were forced to close by their owners. Meanwhile, those who had no choice but to pass Nigel pretended not to see.

Nigel also wondered who the four people were. As far as he could remember, he never met them, then why did they come to collect his debt?

“Hu…debt? As far as I can remember, I owe nothing to anyone," said Nigel.

"Ha ha ... it's not you who borrowed money, but your girlfriend Bella Hughes who borrowed money from our boss, and he said your name as a debt payer," said one of them.

“Bella did this? Huh you devil woman," she added. Today he was unlucky; all the misfortunes came successively.

"We don't care how you judge her. We only care about you paying us back. Pay now and you will be free!” threatened the man choking her while twisting her more tightly.

Nigel coughed again, he tried to ask for help, but no one helped him.

“Humph! It seems he really needs to be taught a lesson so he knows we're not playing games,” said one of them, then punched Nigel in the stomach.

The besieged youth coughed again, this time as if he was going to vomit.

"That's not much, you pay quickly, here are the details of the debt!" exclaimed one of them while showing a cellphone screen containing Bella's debt notes.

One of them then prepares to punch Nigel in the face. Bugh! The man fell because someone had blocked his intention suddenly.

“Dare you touch it then it will deal with me!” shouted a well-dressed man, complete with a tie.

Nigel widened when he saw his figure, especially when the man stepped closer. Behind the man in the tie were several men whose appearance was no less sinister than those who had intercepted Nigel.

“Get them done!” the well-dressed man ordered as he smoothed his tie, drew closer to Nigel, and reached out to help him.

Nigel also looked away when the man approached him instead of taking a helping hand and thanking him.

"Nigel, of course you remember me right?" asked the well-dressed man, smiling and giving him a shady look.

"Huh, what are you doing here? Laughing at my situation?” asked Nigel fiercely and then looked away.
