2. Please Come Back Home

The men dressed in all black immediately pointed their guns at Nigel's attackers' heads and made them not move. Even though they weren't as big as the people who attacked Nigel, none dared to fight back.

The four big men who had been rude and forced Nigel to pay off the debt made by Bella slowly lost their nerve. The four of them were now squatting with their hands behind their ears, following orders from the well-dressed male followers.

But Nigel was still reluctant to exchange glances with the well-dressed man, even though he was the one who had saved himself. Nigel instead showed an unfriendly expression, maybe even hidden anger there.

The well-dressed man gently tapped Nigel on the shoulder so the young man would turn to look at him.

"You still can't forget that incident? Are you still stubborn? Look at you now!” said the well-dressed man, looking Nigel up and down. Her gaze showed pity as she looked at Nigel.

“Tch!” Nigel looked away again and then said again, "You should be happy with my absence, that way you can become the sole heir to the Parker family, right?" sneered Nigel scathingly. He didn't care if his words hurt someone.

However, the man who reprimanded him is pretty mature, not only in age but also in mindset and actions. The man smiled and clapped his hands, hearing Nigel's words just now.

“Ha ha Parker family legacy? You still have a negative thought about me, Nigel. I thought that your current situation could make you change, but in fact,—” The elegant-looking man didn't continue his words but turned his attention back to Nigel's figure.

“Apparently what? Turns out I'm not what you thought. Huh! Who told you to think about me?"

Again the well-dressed man smiled at Nigel and irritated him even more.

“Humph, is there any reason for me not to think badly of you? So far, you have earned the trust, they will pay your tuition fees in full, and you will even get a private car facility. Then what about me? I have to work hard for everything myself even though you are not related by blood to them?” argued Nigel in a high tone.

The well-dressed man paused and nodded. He didn't deny Nigel's words at all. He is Aaron Parker, the man adopted by billionaire Bastian Parker. Aaron Parker has succeeded in becoming a well-known lawyer at a reasonably high rate.

"I don't blame you or dad for all of this, I'm here because I was looking for you for a long time and I was asked to take you home to Ever Spring," replied Aaron Parker.

Now it was Nigel's turn to laugh loudly, then he lowered his eyes, considering Aaron's words ridiculous.

“Back to Ever Spring? What for?" his sneer was fierce.

Then the golden brown-haired youth looked at Aaron with a look full of anger, but his face wore a sinister smile.

“Is that old fart sick and need a kidney and then tell me to come home? Because you can't afford to give me your kidney ha?” Nigel was still speaking harsh words.

Aaron shook his head, not expecting to hear such words from his adopted brother. But he tried to understand because his foster sister's position was unacceptable.

"You're wrong Nigel, your father is fine and his condition is still healthy, he can still carry out normal activities, as well as your mother. As a parent, of course you are worried about your situation, come home Nigel!” This time Aaron spoke more firmly.

No need to be surprised; Bastian Parker is indeed the biological father of Nigel. Only because of a mistake in the past, Nigel had to be expelled from Bastian Parker's residence in Everspring.

Nigel, born and raised in a wealthy family, enjoyed everything quickly, anything he wanted. He just had to ask his mother and father. Unlike Aaron, who was ten years older, he who was adopted indeed did not want to disappoint the kindness of his adoptive father.

Plus, he wants to become a lawyer to give leniency to the sentence of his biological father, who is a death row convict. Too bad Aaron's biological father lost to his illness before he became a lawyer.

Bastian Parker decided to close all of his financial access to stop Nigel's habit of splurging and become an independent and responsible man. They even create drama when they are bankrupt and have a lot of debt.

News of the Parker family's bankruptcy had surfaced slowly throughout Ever Spring. Not wanting to be embarrassed, Nigel also chose to leave because he realized that his friends were only there when he had money.

The saddest And, when Nigel left, he knew bankruptcy was just an act. The play was set up to drive Nigel out of the Quadrillionaires, Parker.

"Go home? Huh tell that old fart that I don't need his help. I can do everything myself. Tell him too, he wants me to live independently I have done it!” cried Nigel, then walked away, leaving his adoptive brother.

Aaron also followed Nigel with wide steps.

"Nigel, you should go home and talk to your mom and dad, they will definitely forgive you."

Nigel shook his head, "No."

Aaron took a long breath, “What are you looking for here? Your father has lifted your sentence. He already knows your life, and you can access your money back. If you don't believe me, check your phone!"

“Humph, to hell with everyone! I don't care," Nigel replied, then pushed Aaron so hard that the man stepped back and continued to the bus stop.

“Hey Nigel, are you going to let yourself go on like this? I already know what's going on where you work, and Bella Hughes too!" Aaron shouted back at his foster sister.

Nigel stopped short when he heard the shouting, and he turned around, not to turn back but to give his adoptive brother a middle finger.

                         ***

Nigel climbed the stairs of his apartment dispiritedly. Since earlier, he has not stopped nagging and regretting the misfortune that happened to him.

“Damn I really am today, everyone really is assholes. Even meeting Aaron the adopted son really made me unlucky,” he muttered as he walked to his apartment, which is located on the third floor.

Still lazily, Nigel opened the door of his studio-type apartment and found several letters lying on the floor.

"Huh, surely all of them contain bills," he muttered, then brought the letter to the table and charged his cell phone.

It's lazy for him to check all the bills, but he has to pay them anyway. Accompanied by cold water, he tried to open one by one the envelopes containing bills; there were utility bills, cell phone bills, and the biggest was the cost of his studies.

"Damn!" he roared again, throwing all the envelopes on the table.

Nigel also ruffled his hair to express emotion; he did not know how to pay it off. Moreover, if he does not pay off his tuition fees within one week, he will be threatened with dropping out.

"I have to try to find another job," he said, then took his cellphone that was being charged.

It was then that the aqua-eyed youth was in for another surprise but a good one. A notification from the bank entered Nigel's cellphone and informed him that the blocking of his account had ended.

'First Bank: We inform you that your account with number xxxx618 in the name of Nigel Parker has ended its blocking period. Your current account balance is $2,500,000,000.'

Nigel stared and made sure that he had read the notification message correctly. He quickly reinstalled his account application and filled in the required data.

"Crazy! What the adopted child said was really serious, I see?” he muttered.

The bills he had to pay off were nothing compared to his savings. The amount alone does not reach one percent of his savings. Nigel pinched his arm to make sure this wasn't a dream.

“Huh, this is real, but if I take this money, it's a sign that I'm giving up on that old fart. I have sworn never to ask her for money again,” Nigel muttered as he held his cell phone and weighed the decision.

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard someone knocking on his door hurriedly.

"Huh, what else is this?" he complained as he headed for the door.
