Chapter 36

“Ouch.” Alexander and Luca winced in pain.

"I'm sorry, Luca." Alexander instantly stood up and sat next to Luca. The hurt in his back vanished immediately.

“Luca.” Alexander checked Luca’s head, and he sighed in relief when he found no blood, but he couldn’t believe Luca’s head wasn’t injured because Luca’s head hit the wooden block.

“Is your head okay?” Alexander touched the back of Luca’s head, and he glared at his hand, which was covered in blood. “Your head is bleeding. The rain makes your blood invisible.”

Luca held his dizzy head. “I’m not okay.” He said honestly. He opened his eyes; he tried not to panic when his vision was blurry. He blinked his eyes several times. “Phew.” His vision had returned to normal.

“I’m sorry, Luca. I didn’t realize the black dragon was after me.” Alexander was genuinely sorry. He almost had a heart attack watching his friend get hurt because of him. He didn’t want to lose the closest person to him in his current life.
