Chapter 40

No one heard Alexander’s scream. The sound of swords and spears clashing dominated the room.

The bandit was dueling with the woman who entered through the window. The spear hunter and the magic hunter, guarding hundreds of gold coins with Alexander, were focused on watching the fight and ready to help the woman.

“Hey, don’t you see the fire on the curtain?” Alexander looked at the spear hunter and the magic hunter and pointed his index finger at the burning curtain.

“Tell everyone! I’ll put all the gold coins in my backpack.” Alexander put down six brown bags containing 600 gold coins. His hands didn’t shake because he was used to holding a lot of money.

“Fire! Fire! This place is going to burn!”

“We’re going to be roasted!”

The spear hunter and the magic hunter shouted to make sure those fighting heard their voices, but Francis, Luca, and the 25 hunters from Licore could only turn their heads for a moment because the nine bandits would take advantage of their carelessness.

“Damn it.”
