Chapter 39

“Damn it.” Alexander cursed. He and the two Licore hunters on duty guarding the room immediately joined the other hunters and magic hunters.

Three people would not defeat the ten muscular and scary-looking men. They all had to work together to fight the ten robbers.

Alexander glanced at the tightly closed window. The ten robbers did not enter this room through the window; they broke down the door. That meant the people downstairs, the employees of the free trade union office, had been beaten by them!

Although it was possible that the employees simply surrendered, not trying to fight back, because they knew they did not have the strength to fight the ten robbers.

The free trade union office was open twenty-four hours a day and never closed. Downstairs, there should be one or more people working as bodyguards—offering to escort a group of hunters out of the forest alive after fighting bandits and then escorting them back to the inn.
