WHAT ABOUT MAKS?

Maks pushed the door to his room softly. Suddenly the lights came on and Siena sat on the bed looking at him with an annoyed gaze.

" Just got home?" Siena asked.

"Sorry, honey. A friend invited me to drink at the bar to celebrate our tender victory," Maks replied as he approached his wife. "Didn't I tell you earlier?"

"I thought you wouldn't be this long!" exclaimed Siena.

Maks took a deep breath. "I'm sorry, Siena. Yes, I was wrong."

He tried to grab Siena's hand, but she brushed it away. Maks tried to reach for her again, but Siena brushed him off again. And so on until Maks raised both hands in surrender.

"Sorry, Honey," Maks said again.

"Please sleep in another room!" Siena pleaded earnestly.

"What?" asked Maks.

"You heard what I said, Maks!"

"Oh, come on, Siena. Do you have the heart to tell me to sleep in another room?"
