Chap 06

"Charles, are you sure you want to go to class today? What if Deon and Isabella bother you on campus?" Daniel looked at Charles with a worried look. He didn't want his best friend to get into trouble again with the two lovebirds.

Daniel, Charles, Isabella, and Deon are studying at the same place. However, after the college break ended, Charles and Daniel only learned about it today. This year the four of them gathered in the same class, which was the beginning of trouble for Daniel.

"So what? I don't have a problem with either of them."

"No problem? Are you kidding me? Your problems are bigger than my head!" Daniel gave Charles an annoyed look.

"I do have personal problems with them, but on campus? We don't have any problems, right? I think Deon is a smart guy who wouldn't mix personal problems with education, right?"

"Huft, whatever you say. I hope what you said is true."

Daniel's hopes were not realized after Charles entered the campus area. How could he not? Just as Charles set foot in the classroom, Deon had already intercepted his steps, saying, "Wow, look. Who's here?"

Deon circled Charles' body while clicking his tongue. He looked at Charles sarcastically. "What is a poor person like you in this class for?"

"Learning," Charles answered briefly.

"Cih! Poor people work, not study. If you don't work, you won't be able to eat!" Deon's words were accompanied by laughter from his friends.

"Babe, look at your ex-boyfriend. How can he study here, Babe? How did he pay the tuition fees at this college? Did he... steal?"

Isabella looked at Deon for a while; she didn't understand what her boyfriend said. A few seconds later, Isabella understood that, at this time, Deon was trying to embarrass Charles in front of other classmates.

"I think you're right, Babe. How can a bodyguard with a small salary like him go to college until the third year? I think he paid for the tuition by stealing."

"Don't make this up, Isabel! Don't you know that I work day and night to earn money to pay for college? How can you slander me like this? Have you forgotten that every night you text me to ask what I'm doing? From that, I think you already know that I'm working to pay for college! Not stealing like you said earlier!"

Deon snorted in annoyance; he pushed Charles' body hard to intimidate him. "If you work to pay for college tuition, then how did you get the money to pay for dinner at the hotel restaurant yesterday? Do I think I'm stupid? A bodyguard's salary wouldn't be enough to pay the bill for last night's meal!"

Charles chuckled; he didn't expect that Deon was not as smart as he thought. "Didn't you see for yourself what I did last night, Deon? With this." He showed me the card given by Michael. "With this card, I can get into any luxury hotel and restaurant."

"Shhh, Deon. Isn't that card only available to the upper class?" One of Deon's friends whispered.

Deon looked at the card carefully; he was surprised to realize his friend's statement was true. That card can only be owned by super-rich people. Only billionaires can have that card. Deon only had a silver card, while Charles? He was holding a gold-colored card! Deon felt that he was dreaming now.

Deon, who already hated Charles, could not think positively. "I know now. You must have stolen a hotel visitor's wallet, right? I'm sure of it! How can a poor person like you have that gold card? I'm sure you must have stolen other people's wallets while working, right? Yes, right?"

Hearing the accusations made by Deon, Charles couldn't believe what he was hearing. "I thought you were smart, Deon. How can I steal someone's wallet, and that person doesn't search or block the card I'm holding? This is my card! I didn't steal anyone's card or wallet!"

"Tsk, I don't believe it. You must be lying. It's too impossible for you to have that gold card!"

"If you don't believe me, then fine. I don't care either."

Charles walked to one of the seats in the back row. He left Deon and his friends, who still couldn't believe he had a card only certain people could have.

Just as Charles sat down in his chair, Deon interrupted him again. This time Deon immediately pulled on the shirt worn by Charles.

"I don't believe it. I'm pretty sure that you must have stolen the card."

"If you don't believe me, it's none of my business! Take off my shirt!" Charles swatted Deon's hand away roughly.

"Come with me! I'll report you to the university leadership so that they immediately expel poor people like you from this campus! This campus is not for thieves!" Deon dragged Charles' body. With the help of his two friends, he dragged Charles to the university president's room.

"Let go! Let go of me!"

Charles rebelled, but his strength was no match for three people. "Is this the brain of a diamond and real estate businessman, Deon? Can't you think straight? This is college! I'm here to study, not to fight with you! "

"I'm sick of seeing that face of yours. I don't care; I just want you to leave and not appear again in front of my eyes!"

Deon seemed to hate Charles so much. He couldn't even think anymore. He continued to drag Charles' body towards the university president's room.

"Hey, what the hell? Why are you dragging Charles' body like this?"

Daniel, who had just come out of class, immediately approached Deon and his friends. "Let go of Charles! What's wrong with you guys? He didn't cause trouble, but why are you making a scene here?"

"Shut up! You're the same! You're both poor people; you don't deserve to be on this campus!"

Ignoring Daniel's warning, Deon continued to drag Charles' body. Without knocking on the door, he went straight inside and pushed Charles' body in front of the university president's desk.

"What's going on, Deon? Why did you come into my room without knocking? That's not polite at all!" The university president put his glasses on the table; he looked at Deon sharply in annoyance.

"Sir, get him out of this university as soon as possible."

"Why?"

"He's a thief, Sir! I don't want this university's name to be tarnished because a thief is also studying here."

"Thief? What do you mean?" The university president asked.

"Charles has stolen, Sir! He even stole a rare gold card! This is truly an insult to our university!"
