Lana Callahan walked out of the interrogation room with steady steps, her face showing firmness and determination. Outside the room, Rita was waiting for her with an expression that was a mixture of worry and curiosity.

"What's wrong, Lana? Why did you come out so quickly?" Rita asked, her voice full of confusion.

Lana stared intently into Rita's eyes. "We have to go back to your house immediately, Rita. I need Dorothy Ashworth's diary in Gordon's bedroom drawer."

Rita was taken aback for a moment. "The diary? But what is it for?"

Lana took a deep breath. "Rita, you don't need to know. Give me the book or Gordon will be in prison for a long time. Now, I'm the only one who can pay the police a large enough amount to make them think again, so give me the book quickly."

Rita was silent for a moment, digesting all the information. Finally, she nodded in agreement. "Okay, let's go home."
