First Mission

"Okay. Get ready to go to jail, Jack Ashworth," said Tom, glancing at Ashley who was silent.

"Let's go to the bank now," he said again, glancing at Jack.

Jack snorted softly and walked behind Tom. Ashley chose to walk beside Tom and opened the door for her manager.

The location of the bank is not far from here, just by walking, they can arrive within five minutes. While walking, Jack opened the system screen silently.

Ding!

[Welcome back, user Jack Ashworth. What do you want to do?]

"Trade my ten points for money," Jack said in a low voice.

[Point exchange successful. Ten million dollars has entered the user's account.]

Jack smiled and pressed the minimize button. At the same time, they reached the bank.

"All right, Jack Ashworth. We've arrived at the bank. Let's see if you are as big as you say," said Tom Kenny.

"By the time I prove it, you will lose your job," said Jack with a faint smile.

Tom snorted with a sneer but said nothing more. He just gave Ashley the code to make the transaction immediately.

"Follow me, Jack," Ashley said to Jack politely.

Because the transaction was quite large, they were immediately brought into a special room where they would be served by bank employees specifically there. A middle-aged woman wearing glasses sat in the room because she had been told there would be a big deal today. As soon as the door was opened, the woman looked up and stood up to say hello.

"Good… morning?"

The woman was surprised to see Jack. However, before she could say anything else, Ashley immediately cut her off.

"This is Mr. Jack Ashworth who is buying the mansion for ten million dollars," Ashley said.

"Miss Norton, but…”

"I beg you, just carry out the transaction quickly," Ashley said again.

Tom Kenny walked in with his chin up.

“Ashley's right, Miss Bell. We have to do the transaction immediately. We might also need security guards to secure this scammer before the police arrive," said Tom, glancing at Tom. He sneered at Tom while chuckling softly. This time, he felt absolutely certain that Jack was not a rich man, but simply an impostor. He had forgotten his own decision to treat Jack well until there was clear evidence because Jack was really a homeless man with a hole in his wallet and a cracked cell phone. If there was a rich man like Jack in Lumina City, he must have heard of the name.

"We'll see, Tom. Will your arrogance turn against you?” Jack said with a faint smile.

Tom laughed heartily at Jack's words as if they were very funny.

"Me? I think you'd be the one to be embarrassed, Jack. I'll tell you this, if it's proven that you're a fraud, I'll help you go out of jail, but you must kneel before me. That's my best offer, Jack. Let's just say I'm being kind,” said Tom still half chuckling. Jack just snorted. He couldn't wait to see the end of this arrogant Tom when he fired him.

"Okay then, please sit down," said Bianca Bell, adjusting her glasses.

Jack, Ashley, and Tom sat opposite Bianca who was immediately busy in front of her monitor screen and her fingers danced on the keyboard.

"Please put your finger here, Mr. Ashworth," Bianca said, holding up a small machine in front of Jack.

Jack quickly did. A green light accompanied by a light buzzer indicated that Jack's identity had been verified, and so had his account. Bianca's eyes widened as she looked at her monitor screen.

“Mr-Mr Jack Ashworth has a hundred and ten million dollars currently in his account. Eh-ehm… Do you want to make a purchase transaction now?” she asked haltingly.

"Are you sure? The funds are not detected fraud?” asked Tom, leaning forward in a panic.

"There is no problem with the funds. This is a legitimate fund. It is the result of investing in shares in the name of Mr. Jack Ashworth himself which has just been disbursed,” answered Bianca. Jack himself was a bit surprised by the bank's tracing results, as he had never bought any stock. However, he just kept quiet.

Ashley was even more amazed. Previously she had only seen a hundred million dollars, but within a few minutes, there was already another ten million dollars in this man's account. She wondered what business this shabby man is running. Meanwhile, Tom gaped with a frantic pounding heart.

"Impossible! There must be a mistake! He probably stole from someone else! Just look at his appearance! He might have robbed!”

"Mister Kenny, you can't accuse without evidence," Ashley warned.

“You have to double-check! He must have done something to make it looks like it is a legitimate fund. The criminals like him are getting smarter these days!”

“Mr. Kenny…”

“Double check it, please, Ms. Bell. We cannot make a mistake. If he’s a fraud, it could harm the bank too if you insist to proceed with the transaction,” Tom interrupted Bianca.

“You are just wasting our time, Tom,” Jack said calmly.

“Shut your filthy mouth!” exclaimed Tom.

Jack tried to hold his anger and wait a little longer to snap back at the right time.

“Sir, I have double-checked the data, and there is nothing wrong. The account is verified, and the source of funds is clear. There is no reason not to proceed with the transaction,” Bianca said.

“Impossible! Tell me, who did you rob? What did you do to make it looks like a legitimate fund?” Tom asked while grabbing Jack’s shirt.

“Don’t you dare touch me!” Jack exclaimed while pushing Tom back. Jack wanted to punch his face so badly, but he hold it in. He didn’t want to ruin this important transaction.

“Stop talking shit. If you have evidence just show it!” Jack added.

“Mr. Kenny, I’m afraid Mr. Ashworth is right. You don’t have any evidence for your claim,” Bianca said.

Jack was sitting back calmly as if nothing happened.

“Miss Bell, please proceed with the transaction. You have checked the account twice. There is no reason to cancel the transaction,” Jack said politely.

“Why are you rushing, Jack? You are hiding something, right? You want to cover your criminal act, don’t you?” cried Tom while getting up.

“I will contact my friend at the central bank! She will prove that I was right!” Tom said irritatedly and immediately go outside.

Tom Kenny came out of the room in a hurry. At the same time, his cell phone rang. It was Tom's friend who was a manager at the central bank, whom he enlisted in investigating Jack earlier.

“Tom, he really is a rich man. I had never heard of his name before but the money was definitely a long-term investment. There is nothing wrong with all the accounts and their flow of funds. You already have a rich customer. Congratulations, Tom," said the person.
