Chapter Nighty- Five

“You need to get Emily.” Turner heard Jessica speak through the headphones. He froze right in his tracks.

A curious Ryan crouched over Turner’s shoulder, his ear pressed against the headphones trying to get a hint of what was communicated.

“What’s wrong? What did you hear? What did Emily say?” A series of questions followed each other as his confusion got the best of him. He could hear murmurs through his position but they just weren’t loud enough.

“E-Emily…” Turner stuttered, eyes wide and voice cracked. He had tuned out whatever he heard in the headphones, now only hearing his heart pound against his chest. His mind raced, and multiple scenarios came into play.

“What’s wrong with Emily?” Ryan got impatient, raising his voice at the older man, and shook his shoulders, almost like shaking him back to reality.
