Chapter Hundred

"it was here, it was here" Kate said as she stood in the middle of the living room.

Susan was surprised to see Kate talking to herself like that. She didn't know what to say to her.

She stood still staring at her in silence waiting for her to get past that moment.

"Are you okay, ma?"

Susan had never met Kate before but she had heard stories about how she lost her child with her first husband which led to their early divorce.

This story somehow gave her a clue of why Kate was acting strange when she entered the room.

She tried to touch Kate but Kate moved away from her holding her head with her hands.

"Are you having a headache, ma?" Susan asked in a concerned manner but Kate did not respond.

She sat on the couch with her two hands still holding head tightly and said to Susan.

"Where did she put everything?"

Her voice was unusually very low, it sounded almost like a whisper and Susan could not get what she said immediately.

"What did you say, ma?"
