“What are you doing?” Cephas got up from his seat, turning till he was face to face with his stepmom.

“Was she following me?” He asked in his mind and groaned, he only fixed the dinner at Gojo foods, hoping that his soon to be wife would run into them there and cancel their wedding but his step mom had come instead.

“What does it look like, Ceph? I am scolding her for hanging out with an engaged man.” Ruth retorted at her, “Are you not being brazen and reckless? Having a meal with a woman at your in-laws’ restaurant.”

Here she goes again, acting like she really cared about him. He didn’t understand why she kept wanting him to get married to heiresses when her son who is around his age was still single and was most probably the hottest bachelor alive.

His father never forced Abraham to do anything, they only said yes to do something, his No was no and yes was yes. But it was different in Cephas’ case.

Now Ruth, his stepmom, was monitoring his every move.

“They are not my in-laws yet. C
